A Christmas vision

It's Friday! After work, I'm off to hug my rv and spend the three day weekend telling it how much I missed it. Hope you all have a super fantastic day!

Cedar, spring is HERE! At least it feels like spring. Temps in the 50s this weekend. Hooray!

Mornin Sistahs.

Drinkin road coffee so not enough to share. I think it's horrible and burnt! Two creamers, 2 sugars at first and yuck! Added 2 packs of sweetener and now it's sweet yuck!! I can't finish the last 1/4 of my cup. Mom drank hers and got another further down the road. It too is strong but if I'd gotten a cup I could have fixed it and drank it. Mom's taste buds must be dead, lol. She's more experienced with road coffee. We do have cinnamon rolls with icing. They're pretty yummy!

We're 133 miles east of El Paso. Then it'll be another 22 miles to the NM state line. Mom asked if I wanted to find a campground or just go a bit more and I voted to keep going. Rained off n on yesterday but we're getting some blue sky and sunshine now. Currently 50 out.

My Friday fun started by getting up at 4 a.m. to drive down to dd's north of Tampa and stay with gs, home sick from school. He was out yesterday too, but SIL was home. He's feeling a little better today, but still not eating. After I cleaned up their kitchen, we played Scooby Doo on their Wii game system. See how much fun I had? SIL came home, so now I'm back in Ocala.

Still cleaning out the rv after the gtg.

You guys are sure movin on. It takes me 3 days to get across Texas.

It has warmed up enough that it wouldn't be too bad to go somewhere but we have some rain moving in soon. My son is in Houston and I need to see what his crew is going to do so I can pick him up. He has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so needs to get himself back home. He was laid off in Seattle so flew home before Christmas and depends on Mom to be his chauffeur. At least he found some work.

I spent the morning going through my closet. Something needs to go. I am trying to get some clothes together to go to New Jersey at the end of the month for 2 weeks. My DH, who has never flown, thinks I should UPS my clothes. The bad side is if I loose my suit case I will never hear the end of it. Wish I could drive but don't have the time and the weather could be bad this time of year. I got my H1N1 flu shot yesterday. Should have gotten it sooner. Leave it to me to get sick on a trip. I am almost never sick at home.

Ladyhawk, way to become part of the gang by firing up the Morning Coffee. Ground some French Roast together with a little Orange Seville, plus a dash of cinnamon. Mmmmm ... c'mon over!

LOVED your poem. I just dismantled my tree, and had to toss it out (a $10 Wal Mart fiber-optic job I got 3 years ago). Better than needles!!

I, too, envy your weekend trip. Have a great time.

We're just finally getting blue skies back after what seems like YEARS of inversion/pollution/fog/smog. A FaceBook friend described the air as "crunchy." 'Nuf said.

wickedxgrl, I think I'm going to completely bypass Texas this summer on my way to Louisiana. Just for giggles. I'll avoid the West Texas wind, and just cruise through the gentle breezes of Kansas and Nebraska. Besides, that'll add some states to my Visited States map.

Oh yeah the wind! We are taking a break in a rest area just east of El Paso and while the temp is 57f and the sun is nice and warm? The wind makes it feel a lot cooler. About ready to pull out and move down the road a bit more. Some of this is pretty but sure is a lot of scrub brush and squaty stunted trees. Oh and a whole lot of gravel and sand. YUCK!
