Good Morning Friday Friends,

I do believe our campfire and laughter warmed things a bit here at the FL GTG, at least it seems to be above freezing this morning. Roe and I have made our rounds around the campground, but the only one we could find that wanted to come out to play was Maggie. So Maggie joined us for one more loop around. Now we're enjoying breakfast....Leftover blueberry pancakes & sausage from yesterday morning.

No set agenda for today...we'll see what people want to do. A hike down to the river for some of us, I'm sure.

Have a great day.

Right on the button of 20° here right now. And no new snow. Guess the Lake Champlain Valley is still the place to be. I know it will be colder over the weekend, but we will probably still keep that 10-15 degrees warmer margin from the higher elevation where Soosie lives.

Our girls basketball teams walked all over their opponents last night,.... winning margins were just under 30 pts for both games. Our girls' varsity is looking like they may be unstoppable this year. but,... we'll lose three seniors. arrrgghhh..... My granddaughter's team will lose several too moving up to varsity, she being one of them. She and another classmate of hers were having a good game last night and scored 10 each. Others popped in a basket or two giving them such a nice win. Our coaches both emptied their benches so all got to play, and we still had high margins. Way to go Lady Eagles.

Tonight we go to a neighboring town to see another game. Our girls aren't playing but my friend Kath's niece coaches her school's JV. Will be fun to see her all grown up and now coaching, when it used to be her on the floor.

Have a great day everyone..... especially those gathering in the friendship circle at our FL GTG! :D

-18 with a -39 wind chill here today....and I'm home for the third day in a row. I despise using my vacation time for this. Radar is up a creek without a paddle if she wants to go for a walk, but I doubt she will....after she went out to do her business this morning she headed straight back to bed and burrowed under the blankets...and I'm sure she'll stay there until her bladder is ready to burst. This is freeze your nostrils together weather...take off earrings weather because if you don't the gold gets cold and freezes your earlobes. :( Yesterday my friend needed some groceries and her husband gave her a ride in the skid loader four blocks to the store...by the time they got home her bag of lettuce was frozen. But it was crispy! Told her she should have bought ice cream. The wind is suppose to subside around noon then the state, county and city plows will start doing some serious snow removal. Right now they're pretty much just keeping emergency routes open.

Can't wait to see some pictures from the GTG.

Good Morning to All - Cannot believe the weather up there - So cold. It's funny here - we forget it is winter and we are in shorts and t shirts and the Mexicans are in long sleeves, sweaters and jackets. 60 is cold for them. summer temps here are in the 100s+.
Went to El Quelite yesterday - love that little (2500 people) town. So friendly, clean and quiet. Looked at a house on 10 acres - nope - just looking.
Take care everyone - keep safe and warm.
We are probably going south tomorrow - not sure yet.

Morning!
Slept fitfully and just now getting around and having my coffee. Curves might have to wait until later this morning till I can pry my eyes all the way open.
Cedar, sounds like the girls BB team is going to be a force to reckon with. I remember those teams playing through their rebuilding years when my son and dau played. Made for some pretty lopsided games for the team trying to rebuild. I like it when the teams are on a level playing field.
Barbzeee! Great to hear from you and sorry you and your furbabies have been under the weather. Looking forward to seeing pics of your newest projects.
Carol, when we were in MX it passed our minds to buy some property etc. but I knew we didn't want to commit ourselves to one place/area. I had neighbors that bought in MX and after a few years the magic wore off. It's kinda like when you visit a country and you get wrapped up in their culture and start dressing like the natives. Then you return home and reality sets in. JMHO on all this.
OK, off to check out the GTG in FL!
have a good one!

Good morning all. Had a 4 dog night last night. Was I ever toasty warm, didn't have much room, but was warm. Was 1* this am and school was closed again today. It was determined it was too cold for the kids to wait for the buses, especially if they were late. Cedar is right, the residents are just not prepared for this type of cold.

Had my morning coffee out in the camper. Cranked up the furnace and was warm in no time. Will have to run the generator another time, too cold to mess with it now.

Saw the pictures from the gtg and looks like all are having a grand time.

I was doing some pondering about the weather. If Canada is blowing this cold blast over us, are they sucking in warm air from the southern hemisphere? It is summer there after all. Do the temperatures get as hot as it gets here during the summer in that half of the world? OK too much pondering, need more coffee.

Have a great and warm day all. Linda

Will post some pictures tomorrow. Right now we are listening to the police helicopter going overhead in circles and the police cars with their lights flashing driving all over the park. Apparently someone has escaped and they are looking for them. Several of us went walking around trying to see what was going one and finally the police told Tina that they have a dog on the ground and would we all go inside and stay there. When we first saw the police lights we were wondering how high Cedar's bail money fund had gotten to. You can't say its dull wherever we are in a group.

OMG, I hope everyone is safe! I'm wondering about Echo and Kelly in a tent, I'm sure Shade will let them know if somebody is slipping around there. Now I'm gonna be worried till I hear everything is back to normal.
