Hump day Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hump day Wednesday

Postby avalen » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:40 am

Good morning
well, we're almost done with this year, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Did
get a few things done outside yesterday when the sun peeked out for a bit, but
today is going to be even better and I'll get some more outside work accomplished.
Got two more little shelves put in the bathroom, have another one planned for under
the medicine cabinet and also making a step for the hallway entry. I'll take pictures
when I'm done.
I feel like I'm searching deep to find things to do during my time off, but I want to
accomplish SOMETHING so my time isn't wasted. One thing I've figured out....it
really costs me to have a week off, I EAT MORE!
Coffee is ready, its just regular kind and a little toast on the side with an orange
from the neighbors tree.
Have a great day, be safe, and hope you have good weather.

Good Morning to All - Ava time isn't being wasted even if you just sit down and watch the clouds go by. I used to think I had to be "doing something constructive" all the time. I finally figured out I could spend time just watching deer eat corn in the backyard.
I'm watching the person next to us in the RV park get ready to leave - they came in late the night before yesterday. Spent yesterday in cabs running all over town and came home exhausted. (they have a nice tow car but never unhooked it.) Now they have "seen" Mazatlan. Oh well to each his own. This is their first trip in their brand new Jayco Embark ($225,000) motorhome and she hates it. He just wants to keep driving. Should be a fun winter.
Rained again part of yesterday. Cleared up afternoon but was muggy. Worked on my web page and found a neat photo slide show program for it. Also changed my blogs appearance a little. It's fun to see if I can figure things out.
Good weather and safe travels for everyone.

Morning ..
just loafing this a.m..not much going on again.. i am or have been battling alittle bit of tummy flu so taking it easy again today. I feel lot better but after 4 days its wearing me out...

Still waiting for my trailer to get done. I know I said' take your time' but not this much time..If they arent done by the end of the week i will take it over to my other RV place and they will have it done asap. I took it in the week before halloween.. :(
One thing i dont do is drive in rain or snow.. so it might be a few days before I either get it home or moved.

My little Boston I took to the vets yesterday for a lump i found.. thank goodness its only a 'fatty" one... My old Doberman will go into Surgery on the 7th of Sept to have a wart like thing on her eye.. they have to remove a gland that got infected. I hate to have her under as old as she is.. but with her good heart and lungs she should be fine... My doggies are my life and my reason for living...

Hope everyone has a great day.. Stay warm...

Morning, ladies!
Good post on what to do with your time. I always make myself feel guilty when my DD calls and asks what I've been up to. I feel like I should be out accomplishing so much as she is never still and fills every moment with work, kids, bible study classes, volunteer work, vice pres of the PTA, wine club, get togethers with their friends, kids having sleepovers, whew  and the list goes on!
Ok, well we got our first measurable snow late yesterday and our world stopped! 2-4 inches and it's nothing but our local news showing non stop pictures of people in ditches and the interstates and highways all backed up. Not sure why the traffic was moving so slow. It's never been that bad. 45 min drives turned into 5 hrs!! :o Just crazy. Later we are suppose to be getting rain and then another system will dump heavy rains. Back to normal. Excitement over.
I will check my driveway and see how slick the streets are before I venture out to Curves. I have some pretty steep hills to navigate and don't want to be slolam skiing in my Honda. When the temps rise and the rain comes the streets will be ok. I can wait.
Carol, the travelers you mentioned that pulled in, did their thing, and got out asap reminds me of how my X DH was when we RVed. It was no fun. It was all about getting to a destination, not about relaxing and enjoying the trip. I fear some of that has rubbed off on me when I think of taking out Little Missy. I stress about the drive and don't give any thought of what I'm going to go when I get to a destination or why I'm going there. I sure need to get past that.
Have a great day, stay safe and in love with life!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

No time being wasted here while sitting on my butt. Only plans for today are picking up some groceries and sewing. I just don't know how I manage such a hectic paced life! ;)

Connor is in the living room voicing his displeasure at being taken out of his bath and having to put clothes on. He is fed, burped, now clean and sleepy. He is fighting against going to sleep. He father was the same way when he was a baby. As soon as his eyes would get droopy he would start in fussing and crying. He would much rather have been on someones lap or in his seat on the kitchen table looking around. Connor now weighs 11lbs 12oz and is 23" long. Whew he's growing like a weed. He has given up the battle and is now sound asleep. He was squalling one minute and out the next.

Wednesday is usually David's days off but he went into work as he will have Friday off because of New Years. Maybe on Friday we can work on the wiring on the Blazer so that I will still have cruise while my headlights are on? Then when done with that he and I can go to Hiltons VA to Jenny's fathers house and get some fire wood? Missy Kelly is sleeping. I went out for some dinner last night she was on the couch watching tv, when I got home she was in bed. Surprised the heck out of me. When 12:45am rolled around and I was doing my last minute before I go to bed things and in the potty she got up. Have no idea what time she came into bed after that. Goofy kid!

Carol I feel bad for people like your neighbors. Did she say why she hated the new motorhome? Or is it just the fact that her 'driver' is in such a huge rush to go, go, go? I will have to train myself to slow down and smell the roses too. I am one of those who drives and drives and drives before stopping. I guess for me it's from being a truck driver for 15yrs. Always had to rush, hurry up and wait for loads. So it will be a habit that needs to be broken and retrained. When I'm planted in one place I'm usually ok, it's just when it's time to go, it's time to go!

Well I'm gonna go do catch up and read what ya'll have been up to while I've not been around. Hope everyone has a great day, have fun doing whatever and remember to stay safe! Oh! And stop to smell the roses or at least check out the cactus.

Love to all

Good Morning all,

We got a new big desk calendar for the side of the refrigerator. I normally keep my day planner by the computer. All the kids seem to find it and add their stuff.
Poor Dh was in the dog house yesterday. It seems he signed up our 13 year old DS for a winter break baseball camp..with some of the players from WSU. They come over here to the indoor baseball training center. Only DH did not put the flyer on the bulletin board or note on the calendar. They called us yesterday...
"Hello this is Coach Brandon, at Inside Pitch is Z coming to the clinic.
ME: What clinic?
Coach: The one with WSU that his dad signed him up for
ME: There is nothing on the calendar about it...I will get him there

Lucky for DH they let him join the afternoon session with the high school age kids. Actually he is staying with the High School Age kids, as the coaches think it is better fit, even though he is only 7th grade. Which the WSU coach was like..no way. He is 5' 6" and weighs 145. He is also very athletic and is always on the go and doing something. He did fine keeping up with the high school age group.

As for today...not sure what I am going to do. Might do some deep cleaning in the bathrooms. The rain has returned so I will not be working outside very much.
