LAST MONDAY IN DECEMBER 2009

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

LAST MONDAY IN DECEMBER 2009

Postby Nasoosie » Mon Dec 28, 2009 7:23 am

HAPPY MONDAY TO US ALL!!

No school, and my FL kids are coming today! I will feel very much better when they arrive here safely and once they are under my roof!

Today I will leave the mountain as early as I can get ready, go to Mema's and leave off Molly and my stuff, and then go shopping in Plattsburgh for Christmas dollar-stuff---just to have something in colorful paper under Mema's tree.

The temperature is perfect here, so far----about 25. It's supposed to snow on and off all day, so I will get into the valley as soon as I can to try to avoid snow-covered roads---although I don't mind snow-covered roads, unlike ice-covered ones. My truck does fine in the snow.

I won't be posting tonight or tomorrow until the evening, so I will wish you all a good 24 hours, or so. Stay safe, and enjoy the holidays doing something fun!

Coffee is hot and good, so come on in and tell us about your day!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning ladies, so glad this year is coming to an end, its been such a
bad year, next year can only get better. At least I can hope for a better year.
Enjoy your excursion Soos.
Really getting things ship shape around here, its all looking good and organized.
Have plans to make another shelf today, actually, maybe two. I'll have to get
some pictures when I'm all done.
Last I heard of the weather here, maybe a little cloudy today with possible
showers. Can't complain, at least its a reasonable temperature.
Coffee is brewed and theres french toast for breakfast, enjoy.
Have a great day and be safe.

Morning!
Soos, have a safe trip and hope your family all arrive safely and your time together is joyous!
Ava, yes post some pics of your shelves!
I'm still having my coffee and will eat some oatmeal after I get done here. Then in about an hour I'll go workout at Curves. I missed all last week so need to get my butt back into the routine. Too easy to just skip it once, then make excuses to keep skipping! :o
After that I will pick up a prescription and snag a few groceries. I hope to get my little dog out for a walk. Poor guy has been neglected lately in the walking department. Rain is headed this way starting tomorrow so at least the temps should come up some. It's been in the 20s for lows and low 40s for highs here lately. Average weather for us, but gloomy.
Have a great day everyone! Stay safe!

Good morning friends!

Just watched the Lake Champlain Bridge demolition on tv. What an historical moment. The bridge was 80 years old, opened in 1929 with my mother and grandparents there to watch our then governor Franklin Roosevelt and the VT governor do the dedication. There were parades and floats. I have a copy of a film made by a VT man. Also the snapshot photos my grandparents had taken. Due to worn and weathered pillars and metalwork, it's been closed since October and it was blown up today with a new bridge to be opened by the summer of 2011. Life in our corner of the world will return to normal then. Approx. 3400 vehicles cross the bridge daily. A temporary ferry will be in place until the new bridge opens.

The word of the day is "postpone"..... I will postpone picking up the new camper until Wednesday. We're getting 3-5" of new snow today,.... not a serious storm, just enough to make the roads quite messy and greasy. Wednesday will be quite a bit colder but that won't hinder getting it home. I'll just run the lead cord to the house, fire up the furnace and it will be warm and toasty to take in the furnishings and settle the interior. Then I'll take the pictures.

So today will be getting things settled here at home. Have a great day everyone...every new day is a great one,.. and Soos,.. do enjoy those kids!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!

Little cool here this morning, temp when I first was about 26f, it has went up to 30f now. Brrrrr And seeing as how I bought a small thermometer last night I now know the temp right out in the carport. :D

Spent at least 3 hours last eve shooting the poop with my friend Tracy. I think my jaw got wore out with all the flapping it was doing! ;) Finally got home around 10:30pm. Ended up reading a little while and then went to bed at 1am. I was pooped out. Doofy David was still up watching a movie with Kelly. I got after him about going to bed as he had to go to work this morning. Dummy kid! Made him do the wood stove last night.

Nothing much at all planned for today. Gonna stay home and be lazy I think. Need to take a shower then I will get the sewing machine out and play around. That is if I can do anything between episodes of House Hunters on HGTV. If I had to pick a fave show that would be my pick! And I don't have a home nor any wish to buy one. And I'm not interested in renting either. Opps, the next episode just came on. Got to go! LOL

Hope everyone has a great day. Soos I just know that you will have a great time with the kids at Mema's house!!!! Everybody stay safe please!!!!!

Love to all

coming in late...will take any coffee left...will need it to get through the day.
Is is bedtime yet??
I stayed up reading a book til about 2am. Then headed off to bed...only to have K wake up at 3am. So I cat nap thing..as she watched cartoons. The thing is once she is up she is up..there is no getting her to go back to sleep.
So I do not think I will do much at all today.
K has a Dr appt this afternoon, it is the Pre-MRI exam. The hospital wants it done before they do the MRI on the 4th, as they have to IV sedation to complete the MRI.

Everyone travel safe.

I am very late on this thread! Almost bedtime!

Echo, one of my favorite shows is House Hunters too! I watch it all the time. I especially like the ones that are in warm, tropical locations! I live vicariously thru those people buying those great homes in beautiful places!

Now that we got all the snow, we are going into the deep freeze later this week! Brrrrr! I'll take the snow over the cold any day!

Barbie
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
