WARM SATURDAY---not WEDNESDAY!

GOOD MORNING ALL!
I don't much like it that the temperature is so high here this morning----about 29 above zero, actually. I would like to get snow from this storm that is headed our way, rather than freezing rain and rain, which will make it impossible for me to go shopping today. My truck can make it just about anywhere except down steep hills on an ice-covered road with some rain on it to make it like grease! It's all downhill from here to Plattsburgh, so I would have to make it back UP those hills, too! There is nothing more sickening feeling to a driver than to be in a free slide downhill, even when you are not underway-----4-wheel drive and ABS brakes are as useless as tits on a boar in that situation! The scariest part is the ineptness of other drivers on the road when situations are ripe for skidding. As I see ice all over my truck right now, I suspect I will be spending the day here once again. Perhaps I will leave for the airport early on Monday and shop then, weather permitting.
I hope you all had a fun Christmas Day yesterday, and that none of you were on the plane from Amsterdam landing in Detroit! That will be a Christmas Day for all of those passengers to remember (thankfully!) and talk about for years to come. I worry about my kids flying whenever they are in the air. We have a wonderful explosives-sniffing dog right here in our local airport, who comes out and gives EVERYONE who enters the doors a thorough sniffing-over! Even those not flying. I love to watch her work the crowd! (Of course, the 'crowd' here is only about 15, or so, people.)
I got a beautiful sign that my daughter and her Joe made for me yesterday! I'll take some photos of it later and include it in here somewhere. Now I will have two signs for my trailer! When they heard I had made a sign for myself, they were horror-struck, as they had already finished the present for me! I love that they were able to take the time to make gifts for everyone this year, rather than just buy more 'stuff' which not one of us needs any more of! My plans were to make everyone a DVD, but my burner is kaput, and I haven't found the one I want to replace it with yet. It must have the ability to burn labels and designs right on the discs themselves, as my other one had. I was hoping to find one in the mall today, but-----oh well!
Coffee is hot, and we will all look forward to hearing from you whenever you get yourselves rousted from your comfy beds! I will edit this post when I get the picture of my sign done and into Webshots. Happy Saturday!
Here are the pics:
With flash---too bright.
No flash---better! They designed this with rocks indigenous to the Adirondacks on the top, and rocks found in FL and southern climates on the bottom! Very clever are they!
