Guess it's me again, getting breakfast ready. So far only coffee but hot cereal is there, or cold. Still have fudge, please eat it up so I don't!!
Had my 2 youngest grand-daughters yesterday and will have them again today starting around noon. We made peanut butter balls and gingerbread cookies and had a great time! Not sure what I'll entertain them with today. My repertoire is limited.
I need to get my day going. This morning is bowling. We are also having our potluck (I made a batch of sloppy joes), and our gift exchange. Actually the first strike you bowl you get to pick one of the presents. I'm generally one of the last ones to pick!
Hope all are well and enjoying wonderful Christmas memories!
Hugs!

GOOD MORNING ALL!!
(I wrote this message way earlier----I'm at school now, about half way through the day! Nothing earth-shaking going on....movies in all classes all day!)
With the temperature at just a tad above zero outside, it's a bit nippy in here. As soon as I get this message off, I'll have to try to roust up enough kindling to make a wood fire. The new shop teacher at school is doing something other than letting me take home the extra wood scraps for kindling, and my supply is getting really low. I miss the other guy who moved back to VT after a divorce.
Our shopping trip/field trip yesterday was something to behold! Rather than spending like crazy on themselves or family, the kids hoarded their money! Not a one of them wanted to part with any of it! Some were awarded up to 40.00 each, and some had as little as 25.00, depending on the amount of time and the quality of work they expended on the wreath/sign-making job. Not a one thought they were unfairly awarded, and so were very aware of the relationship between the amount of hard, dedicated work and a salary. They all behaved at lunch, in a large room with a table set up for just us. My reward was a yummy steak and eggs brunch which I ordered for myself! The biggest purchases of the day were bags of cotton candy purchased at the dollar store, as most of them had never had any of that before! A few kids bought 9.99 TracFones from Radio Shack, for themselves. They are Motorolas, and a good deal.....especially as they must purchase time cards as they go and there is no monthly bill for service with TracFone. One girl, my comatose one, could not take more than a couple of bites from her lunch, so she brought it back to school, and still wasn't able to get it down-----it was a grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes in it, and she hated the tomatoes. Her entire daily diet (and she is almost 250 pounds now) consists of pizza, mac and cheese, whole milk, and not much more. We had tried to get her to eat some veggies by including the tomatoes in the grilled cheese. NOPE! Oh well.....we tried.
The rest of the money we made will be saved for a larger trip in the spring, when we will go to Plattsburgh Malls and another lunch.
I was so cold when I got back here that after supper I crawled into bed to get warm, and fell asleep! I woke up at about 1:00 am, fully dressed, and just rolled over!
They are saying possible more new snow tonight and tomorrow...not much, but enough to make things pristine white again for Christmas.
Hope you all have a fun first official day of winter 09/10 today. Yesterday was a 'boundary' day between fall and winter, for me. Thanks for the coffee and fudge!!

Good Morning to All - sure doesn't seem like it almost Christmas - being down here on the beach and away from friends and family. Today we are going into a bigger town near here as they are supposed to have a farmer's market of sorts set up.
The waves are really loud coming in today - storm out there somewhere.
Boy did I blow it - had two margaritas for dinner a couple of nights ago and spent most of yesterday in bed. Old stomach just doesn't like that anymore. Gone are the days......So far we've driven over to a little fishing village - little boats and up to a breakwater where there is a lot of fishing going on. One old man was using a net. Read in the Mexican paper that tourisim to Mexico is off by 40% this year. Really hurting here. This week there are a lot of Mexican tourists here at the beach but not in the RV park.
Wonder when we'll hear from Beth and Jean?
Safe travels and better to everyone.
