Hump Day Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hump Day Wednesday

Postby Bethers » Wed Nov 18, 2009 11:08 am

Why oh why hasn't anyone done a morning greeting? This is unheard of. You all sleeping in today?

It's already after 9 here in Arizona - Peaches and I took a long - about an hour - walk this morning. She's back sound asleep now. I'm doing work.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning, everyone. And yes, Beth ... I DID sleep in. But the barky dogs
prevailed, and now we're all medicated and fed (such is the life in the geriatric
world).

Good Morning! I had my Great Niece this morning, her Daddy dropped her off at 6:30 and I took her to Pre-K at 10, so now I can do my morning puter reading, lol.

Just a quick dash in here while there is a wee bit of morning left - at least in the central time zone.

Does anyone know if Carolinagal got her door repaired so she could get on the road?

Our wonderful taste of fall weather disappeared Monday night as rain and a cold front moved in - temps down by about 20 degrees from last week and still no sun but the rain has stopped. There are still surprising bits of breath taking fall color scattered about on some trees. Leaves are getting much too deep in my yard and keep falling like rain. Most of my trees are not varieties that produce pretty color as they fade.

Cleaning chores on my list for today - ugh! hope everyone else has something more exciting on their list for the day..

Wednesday -- Woden's day

Middle English wodnesday, wednesday, or wednesdai
Old English wodnesdæg "Woden's day"
Latin dies Mercurii "day of Mercury"
Ancient Greek hemera Hermu "day of Hermes"

Woden is the chief Anglo-Saxon/Teutonic god. Woden is the leader of the Wild Hunt. Woden is from wod "violently insane" + -en "headship". He is identified with the Norse Odin.

Relative?

Well, I started this good morning, but as its afternoon here, changed it. Just checking in here and see bluepinecones is wondering about me. No, I do not have the door yet, its lost, company who sent it and my r.v. guy are looking for it. I told my r.v. guy I HAD to leave tomorrow morning, with or without. Sure hate to go without as I have quite a trip planned and would very much like to not have to worry about it, not locking or worse yet, falling apart :D (this is door #5. I'm waiting for) They've arrived not fitting, damaged, and now lost. I do hope I get a door.

I should have been gone, last Sunday. You all know what its like to be delayed leaving, when you just want to get on the road. Its been wee bit miserable. Have sure accomplished much more work around here then I planned to do before leaving though. Today, I'm done and am ready to go. Waiting for R.v.guy to get his deliveries in today (hopefully its delivered today )or let me know if they even found the door.

So I am still here bluepinecones, all will be in Tn. by Sat. morn. and I will be too. I'll be calling you after our holiday ok?

Safe and Happy travels,
Carol

Yeah, pretty unusual, isn't it? She's normally asking for trouble.

I had a whole entire other reply and it just disappeared.

I won't repeat it except to say, Carol, have a great trip. Hope your door comes in. If you're in NW TN, gimmee a call (you got my phone number via PM, right?)

No wild hunt for me today. Had a drs. appt. ...the one that got postponed last month 'cause the dr. was sick. Tomorrow I go for fasting bloodwork, and then I'm good to go until April. Yesterday I got my H1N1 shot; had the regular one in Sept.

This weekend (leaving Friday) I'll be at my dd's in GA. She is to undergo a breast biopsy/lumpectomy on Monday. Please pray that they find no cancer in the tissues they remove. I'll be there until Tuesday, then leave on cruise to Cozumel on Thanksgiving Day for 5 days. So, if you don't hear from me, you'll know why. I'll try to check in between events.

Still cleaning out file cabinets in the office...2 done, 2 to go. Downsize, simplify, purge...

Hope you all have a fun and/or productive day.
Liz

Liz, I'll be keeping your daughter in my thoughts and hope all goes well for her.

Carol, I hope you get your door! Geez, #5!

Sparkle, it might not be hump day for us - but it's still the middle of the week - and some of these ladies are still working those kind of jobs. Yeah, I know, our life here is sooooooooooo tough. Was so hard to be lazy this morning, then head into town and do the walking tour of Tucson - and now back being lazy. Well, you are lazy - I've been working. But I love working this way.

Liz, I'll say a prayer that your daughter's biopsy comes out cancer free.
Scary stuff. I'll bet she's glad you'll be with her.
