GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

LOL! It's gonna be good night for me right quick!

But it is Sunday here in Lonoke AR. And I'm pooped. We left Tucumcari NM this morning and got here in Lonoke, at the motel at a little after midnight? ?? Kelly says it was after 1am?? He77 I don't know but I do know that I'm going to bed as soon as I do this post, 731mls today. I need to change the time on the laptop! Just had Kelly change the time on my watch.

I have no idea what time ya'll will be getting up? But I've got my alarm set for 6am central. Have the coffee pot all set up and ready to go, all you have to do is push the button. Continental spread for breakfast in the morning. ;) Somebody check and make sure my butt is up and out of bed no later than 6:15am. Got to get an early start so that it's not to late when we get to David's. It would even be better if it was daylight so we could see the look on his face when he sees us!!!

Ok, it's lights out for me. I am off to bed.

I do want to say welcome to the newbies and Happy Birthday to the ones I've missed!!! They do say better late than never!!! That's me! LATE!!!!

Love to all

Good morning to Echo and Lori and all! I wish I could see the look on your son's face when you and Kelly pull up, Echo! (And I sure do hope they are home when you do get there!) Lori, I can imagine how happy Ernie was to see you! The difference in temperatures will never make you sick, unless you've been exposed to some nasty germs along the way. Just keep washing your hands and avoiding anyone who is sick, and you should be fine!

It's Sunday, foggy, and very warm out there----about 46 degrees. Good day to be outside.

I cannot believe that health care bill passed the House vote last night. It will be very interesting to see what happens to my Medicare insurance now, if the bill gets passed by the Senate and becomes law.......and how much more I will have to co-pay or pay somewhere to compensate for all the baloney in those 1990 pages of crap. We seniors are those getting the cuts, while the out-of-workers and homeless and other 'poor' people will reap the benefits.

I still cannot believe that the Catholic Bishops are having so much influence on the abortion ammendment added to this plan. Aren't we a country that believes in the separation of church and state? Or did I get the wrong info growing up. How come the procedure of vasectomy isn't regulated by the bishops? I mean, c'mon----all those little wiggly sperms will be cut off from entering the world---each one has the potential to become another human being, given the right circumstances. All those sperms are humans-to-be. But NO-----if one of those wigglies finds my egg and I decide I am too poor or too drug addicted or too not wanting to become a mother, I can't get that human-to-be eliminated? There is something radically wrong with this picture. My egg does not take on any significance in the scheme of life until one of those wigglies enters it, for heavens sakes. It just sits there---it can't even move on its own like those sperm can. But vasectomy is a medical procedure approved by the bishops??????? So men can decide when they don't want to be a parent, but women cannot? ACK! Enough of this---I can feel my blood pressure surging!

Yeterday on our walk, Molly and I discovered another tree (beaver work) down across the road between here and the pond...I'll have to take my trusty cordless chainsaw down there today and clear it off. I wish the dang perpetrators would gnaw it into manageable pieces for me before I get there! I also need to check the radiator water/antifreeze levels in the kicker as I think it was running a bit hot yesterday when I started it up. Also need to put some Stabil in the gas tanks of my generators and run those for a while. Other than that, my Sunday is free for whatever. Would like to spend some time at the pond as it's so nice out there. If the sun came out, I could get some tanning rays!

I hope you all are having a fun time wherever you may be, doing whatever floats your boat. Let us know what's going on in your section of the universe.

good morning good morning
its a tad cold this morning, have the electric heater running under my table to keep
my legs warm and knock out the morning chill. Don't know whats on the agenda today,
except I do have to go to the grocery store and buy enough electricity to get me
through to payday, and a small bag of dog kibble as I used the last of it this morning.
I did sleep good last night, think its the result of all those massages I got this past
week, :D it has given me a new outlook. The xrays showed my spine was in good
shape and lots of "cushion" still between the vertebra, but some deterioration on
my right hip. It looked a little jagged across the top as compared to the other one.
Xrays are quite interesting when you have someone to explain what your looking at.
Uniforms are all washed up for the upcoming week, and dog linens are done. Still
waiting for the coffee to finish dripping so I'll cruise through posts to see what
others have been up to.
Have a great day and I hope you get good weather.

Soos, I think only the people who passed the bill, and Nancy Pelosi, are happy this morning! I have yet to hear anyone on the street touting this health reform. Mostly because we don't, and probably never will, understand all it entails until it slaps us in the face (or kicks us in the @$$). I'm hearing that if it goes through, medicare etc will eventually go by the wayside. Couple that with social security going away and seniors will really be hurting.
Ok, on to something something else....

We had a tornado (water spout?) on the coast yesterday in Lincoln City, OR!! It came off the ocean and hit land. Did some major damage to homes and cars. Once it hit land it pretty much fell apart quickly, thank goodness. The rest of us got some pretty good rainfalls. NE Portland has flooded streets and had to rescue people from their cars! Later in the day we got a small break and I did get my rose bushes pruned back. Makes me feel good that it's now off my to-do list.

Right now it's quiet outside and suppose to be fairly dry the rest of the day. I think I'll head out to Little Missy and exercise her generator. I store her in a covered area so I will have to pull her out to do that. Learned the hard way that the smoke detector goes off if I don't run it where the exhaust can dissipate. ;) :o

Lori, glad you are safely back with Ernie and Spinner.
Echo, looking forward to hearing about your first meeting with that new grandson!
Ava, glad your xrays showed no spinal problems. What can be done with the hip issue? Do you suffer from problems stemming from it now?

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning. We have another beautiful weather day here tempting everyone to go out and play.
I really need to get a few things off my "TO DO" list today but that may be difficult; maybe I'll settle for just making a little ding in the list. Cannot waste this good weather on inside chores.
Have a great day, whatever your plans entail.

Good afternoon ladies. We are having another nice day, a little overcast, but will be in the mid 70's. NICE. Spent the AM cleaning the house and have lost interest in doing anything else. Think I will follow Lenora and spend time in the camper. I will get to use the easy battery filler and will run the generator. A movie afternoon sure sounds good. Lunch and a movie. I bought some Agatha Christie movie box sets from my favorite used book store. They also sell used DVDs,videos, CDs, etc. I took advantage of one of their sales.

Mitch, your sweetie can cook for me anytime. Looks yummy. Lori, glad you made it back to GA safely. Sounds like Ernie is plum tuckered out having to fend for himself. LOL Echo, drive safely, I know you are excited to get to your son's. Looking forward to the pictures. Ava, glad all turned out for you as well.

That's it from here. Everyone take care. Linda
P.S. Vickie, hope you and your sweetie will keep out of Ida's way and be safe and dry.

It's been overcast and gray all day but not too cold. This morning there was a lot of smoke in the air but don't know where it came from. As wet as it has been I don't know how anyone got a field to burn.

Something needs to be done about health care but I don't think the politicians can fix it. They all try to get their piece of the pie every time a bill gets passed. I would like to know how much money the insurance companies are giving these protesters. The insurance companies probably spend more money on lobbing than they pay for claims.

I was thinking about Vicki too. I don't remember where they were going but think it is toward Florida. We make it all summer without a hurricane and now we have to worry about where Ida is going.

I don't think AARP would have endorsed the health care plan if it meant seniors would suffer because of it. People have been screaming for health care reform for years and now that a plan is in the works the Republicans are scaring everyone in hopes of keeping Obama from succeeding at anything so they can (hopefully) beat him in the next election. I wish Congress would act for the welfare of the people and this country instead of for the Party.

Good Evening! We sit here in Pensacola FL, directly in the path of Ida! We stayed in Mobile AL Saturday night and made the short drive today. Dropped off the RV around noon, messed around town a while and checked in the room, ate food from Cracker Barrel, next door and unpacked everything. Turned on the tv and they are calling for a voluntary evacuation of coastal areas in this county beginning Monday morning. I called to the front desk and asked if we were considered "coastal area", he said we were far enough inland that we shouldn't have to worry about it, but what does he know, what does anybody know when it comes to these darn things. We'll just watch the news tonight and check it out tomorrow morning and see what we decide then. They think it will weaken by the time it hits. So thank you all for your concern and keep us in your prayers, I pray for the knowledge to know what to do, lol. (sometimes it works)

Echo, I'm so glad you and Kelly decided to go to TN and see that sweet baby, nuttin better than pinching fat little baby legs, LOL.

Everybody else, I'm trying to catch up on posts, just to find out what's going on with yall!

Somebody slap Mitch for me!

Glad you made it safe and sound to Pensacola, Vickie and will not be on the road when Ida comes to town. Prayerfully it will just be a rain event, but if not, you just do what the authorities tell you to do. If they say leave, please leave. But I doubt it will come to that. Another meal from Crackerbarrel and a good movie on the tv.
