How nice to have a sick day and not actually be sick!
I'm up and dressed in my do the yard work clothes...no excuses. It's going to be a beautiful day...starting at a nippy 46 degrees and warming to a high of 76. So, why am I sitting here talking to you? Procrastination has paid a visit.
Ok, I'm, off....and what is everyone else planning for today?

I'm at school, in the computer lab with three senior students. Liz, you talk about procrastination.... how about this: two of them are just now writing their bio for the senior play program ...play is tonight and the program has to be run off on the copier yet! Glad i'm not a senior class advisor!
I'm still coughing, but with Robitussin cough gel tablets i can get through a day. Not sure what I had,... bronchitis, flu or whatever,.. just know that I haven't been this sick in years. But I'm on the mend now.
Hope you all have a great day!

Morning!
Glad you are on the down side of whatever you had, Cedar.
Ava, hope you get good news from your chiropractor x rays etc.
I'm sure glad I got all my grocery shopping and outside chores done on Wednesday as today and then next few days we are getting storms. There is a storm cell headed this way with hail and high winds. Should hit here in another hour or so. Just in time for rush hour and kids getting on the buses. What a mess! A low is stalled and sitting over the Gulf of Alaska and pulling up the moisture from the warmer pacific waters. They are saying at least 3 ft of snow in the mountain passes. I'm sure the ski areas are rejoicing!
I'll go workout at Curves at 8, then sit tight and stay home where I'll be safe and dry.
Remember to keep all the hurting families from the Ft Hood shootings in prayer. Such a tragedy.

Morning everyone,
So glad you are feeling better Cedar! Ava, aren't three dayweek-end the best? Oh my Lenora, that does sound like a big storm, wonder if it will make it down to the Sierras? (I know...no 's' on Sierra, but don't know how else to say it!).
I'm heading over the Guadalupe River to gtg with Karen, Sharon, and Janet. Remembering last year's gtg when an rv for me was only a dream. Wow, so much can change in year!
Time to get busy, byeee

Good Morning everybody. Lenora, I've been watching the weather channel and wondering about yall up there! How far are you from the coast? They are showing HUGE waves!
Well, I'm doing last minute things like taking the doggies to their vacation condo (vet boarding), then finish packing stuff in suitcases. Don't ya just hate that! I like being able to put stuff in it's place in the RV and not having to pack and haul, dig out what you want in the hotel room, pack it back up, haul it to the truck, LOL, I'm spoiled, but we're headed out tomorrow for Pensacola FL to FINALLY get the lift installed. Praying for speedy, competent work. I cringe when I think about them cutting a big hole in the side of the rv, so I try not to think about that, just the end result. We'll try to slip over there during each day and maybe get pics of the process. Even though they are closed on Sunday, they are meeting us there to put it in their fenced shop area so that should be easier backing in without all the weekday traffic.
Note to Ida..... STAY AWAY!

Vicki, I'm a good hour's drive from the coast, but those coastal storms are a big draw here. People get excited and head there to watch. Some people get swept out to sea even though they are warned to stay away. Just craziness. I'd rather sit in my warm house and watch the videos of it on the news. Thanks for asking after my welfare, though.
Ida? Is there a hurricane headed towards the US? Not heard about it yet.
Yes, keep up all updated on the Rv revision. How exciting! Safe travels, too!

It's down by Nicaragua, but expected to go into the Gulf. WE DON'T WANT TO STINKING HURRICANE ANYWHERE IN THE GULF!

well I certainly enjoyed my morning but of course work called to check on me and
see how I was doing AND to tell me how short they were today of drivers. So, of
course I feel guilty for not being there and told them I was feeling a little better
and could do my afternoon. I had a sneaky feeling I should have ignored that
phone call, but I just don't do guilt very well.
Guess I gotta go to work after my massage
at noon

Good morning all,
I am slowing searching for the pages to get the bookmarks back. I still do not have a replacement computer. So using the shared desk top. Which means as much I as I am on the go..the desk top doesn't travel with me. LOL
Updates...things have been busy busy busy
Tonight we are attending a program "Salute to Veterans". It is a muscial program and DH was selected as one of the spotlight service veterans, they selected a veteran from each of the 5 branches of service. I spent a good 2 weeks sorting through all the pictures to find ones for them.
Speaking of military..keep them in your prayers...it has been a tough few weeks stateside, with the CG and Marine crash off the California coast, the Army and Navy Crash off the coast of Virgina. The Air Force crash off the coast of South Carolina. Now the attack at Ft Hood, TX.
DS football team is still doing great in the playoffs. We have conference championship game on Sunday at 2:30 in Mt Vernon, WA...just in case any of you are on the area and want to catch a little youth football. The winners of this championship will play next week in the superbowl.
Which is going to make a crazy day for me...if Ds teams makes it...not only will have the superbowl....I also have my grandfathers 90th B-day party 600 miles away to get to. Take about wanting that technology of the star trek transporter system.
The other kids are all doing well and keeping me quite busy.

Cedar, glad you are finally getting back to normal. I was listening to Dr. Grupta,(sp?) the medical correspondent from CNN, explain what it was like when he caught the swine flu. He and Anderson Cooper both caught it and both said the cough was the worst part and they couldn't remember when they felt so sick. I sounds like you might have had it as well? Anyway glad you are feeling better.
Vickie, hope all goes well with the installation. I know how you are looking forward to getting the lift installed. Here's hoping it goes smoothly and is done right the first time. Enjoy your mini trip.
Kristy, I get tired just reading about what you do.
Good luck to your son and his team.
Lenora, stay dry and safe with that weather coming your way. I can remember when people had "hurricane parties" just before the hurricane would hit. It was the only time the surf produced good size waves in South Florida. What idiots!
Ava, should have stuck with the 3 day weekend. They would have managed for a day. My family was great at laying the guilt trip on anyone and everyone. It just rolls off my shoulders now. Hehe.
Thats all from here. Going to enjoy the rest of the sunny, 75 degree day. Safe travels everyone. Linda
