good morning ladies
November already, and did you change your clocks? We don't do that here in
Arizona but I still have to change my bedroom clock cause its automatic, bought
it long time ago back in Colorado and it was great not to worry about forgetting
and getting up late for work. Now that I'm in a state that doesn't change time,
I STILL have to change that clock.
Coffee is on and I have some strawberries and bananas with a little whipped
cream and a little dish of oatmeal. Gotta jump in the shower and wash my
hair, it is such a chore and getting so long. I was supposed to cut it for locks
of love but never got to it. I am SO ready to do that!, then off to visit some
friends, then stop by and check on daughters cat.
Have a great day!

Good Morning All - It was so nice to get up in the daylight this a.m. By a little after 7 it was light out! Light enough to see the frost on the top of Jennie. The Driver had a fit - "Time to get out of here."
Today is the BIG day - the installer is to be here by 11 to finish the satellite on Jennie. Once that is done we are good to go. Not leaving till Thursday though "rain or shine!" Still haven't figured out which way we will go. Guess it will be decided when we reach the 46 and either turn right or left. Will end up in Mexico either way.
Just have the last minute things to get done now.
Have a wonderful day.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
I just set my clocks back, except for the fancy 'automatic-satelite one' which remains on daylight savings time still. It should change soon, I hope. I see that my computers did the changeover very nicely. I noticed that it was light enough to see my front steps at 6:30 this morning, and for that I shall be SO grateful tomorrow morning.
Cedar, I have been wondering about your persistent cough and your feeling so lousy for so long----I would not be surprised to think you did indeed get some sort of brand of the respiratory influenza, and, with your asthma problems, it has just lingered and lingered. I sure do hope you begin to feel better soon, and it wouldn't hurt you to take a sick day or two off to recuperate and use that recliner!
I managed to get to the Urgicare Clinic yesterday morning when they opened at 10:00 am, got my blood drawn in record time, blood pressure taken (which always soars when I walk through the doors of any doc's office), and was back out on the street by 10:30. Hardly any people in the waiting room when I came out, unlike my main doc's office which is always PACKED with sickies and tons of waiting time in the confines of all those germs. And the hospital, where I used to get my blood work done, is full of them, too, at this point, and they charge a 25.00 co-pay just to walk through the door there! Will have results sent to regular doc and hope to be able to avoid an office visit (if liver levels are ok) in order to get my prescriptions refilled. I got a 28-day supply of the blood pressure meds in 4 7-day sample containers yesterday, FREE from the doc! Was very thankful for that. Ran in and out with my face mask on and sterilized my hands when I got back to the car.
My stomach is back to normal, and I tried it out with a cup of coffee and a hot apple doughnut yesterday (I NEVER eat doughnuts!) from Dunkin' Doughnuts. YUM!
It poured rain all day and the wind blew like crazy, so Molly and I didn't get our walk yesterday...I sure hope we can manage one today. The temp has dropped from 57 yesterday at this time to 36 this morning. My first task will be to bring in a pile of firewood and get a warm fire going.
Coffee sure does taste good this morning, so pull up a chair and check in with us----we love to know who's where and what's what! HAPPY SUNDAY AND NOVEMBER! (Dang---I just realized I forgot, once again, to say RABBITS this morning!) Sigh!

Morning,
I'm still running on the old time this morning. Forgot to reset the clocks last night so I'm about that this morning. Still have the bedroom clock to reset. Why do I have so many clocks in this house!?!? (the oven, microwave, TV cable box, wall clocks in kitchen, living room, computer room and bedside one! Yikes!
I had a great Halloween day/evening. The GD's soccer games were fun although the second one was played in the pouring rain. The little girls were dreached but us grown-ups were dry standing under a small tent.
I came home and made a pot of beef stew and garlic bread for everyone and then it was time to trick or treat. The rain let up and the kids were out in force! I actually ran out of candy and was glad to see it gone!
Here's a pic of my oldest GD, 13, from CA. Then my DD and her family that I spent the day with.

Lenora All your grandkids are adorable. Did the moms make the costumes? Glad you had a nice time last night. It was pretty quiet in my neighborhood - maybe because there's so many seniors that live here. LOL
Next year I will have 2 grandbabies - a boy and a girl. My only daughter is almost 5 months PG with the twins. We found out the sex of each baby at the last ultrasound - both babies coorporated!! That ultrasound is sure amazing!
We're having another day of CA sunshine!!

GOOD MORNING, A new month and it is starting with sunshine for a change. Joy, joy!!!
We had so much rain in Sept. and Oct., think new records for both. We now have 4 full days of sun in the forecast.
I'm on the mend from a nasty fall on 20 Oct. Tried to break fall with my left hand (Nicky's leash was on right arm) and really messed it up. Fractured 2 bones in hand and bent two middle fingers backward. Hand has been virtually useless for nearly two weeks now. Of course I'm left handed. The soft tissue damage will take longer to heal than the bones according to doctor. Two middle fingers still look awful. Funny how we take our fingers for granted; amazing what you cannot do when they are out of commission. The swelling has finally gone down enough to regain a little use of my index finger and that has made some things like eating and brushing teeth much easier. Also finally able to change batteries in hearing aides - been without them since batteries died several days ago.
Since the sun is out today, I will venture out. Driving is a bit difficult but Nicky and I will go find some flat land on which to walk a little.
Love the halloween photos.
Have a safe day. I'm off to catch up a bit on posts I've missed lately.

Sarah, you've really had it rough, haven't you. I've been wondering what happened to you, since you haven't been on, now I know. Hopefully you will continue to heal and be back to new before too long. Don't you think it's time for some GOOD luck for a change!

Well, now I'm in the throes of laryngitis,... and still coughing. But my apetite has returned so I guess I'm on the mend!
So sorry to hear about your fall, Sarah,.. those freaky are so bad, I sure hope you will be able to use that hand soon.
Bright sunshine here in the northeast,... welcome sight for sure. I may go out on the deck for a few minutes,... it's up to about 55° and I'd like to get some fresh air.
hope you are all having a great day!

Afternoon ladies, Happy November lst. My niece and I took the puppies for a nice drive yesterday. The weather was perfect, about 70 and sunny. We followed Rt. 66 for awhile and then made a wrong turn, kept driving and finally ended up in Oklahoma City. Not a bad drive, sorry no pictures. Me bad. We did manage to find a Dunkin Donuts though. There aren't any in Tulsa, we were so happy. Being from the NE, I grew up with them and miss them terribly. We didn't to overboard, only bought l donut each and coffee and 2 plain for the puppies to share. How's that for will power?
Hope you are feeling better Cedar. Bluepinecones, take it easy with your broken hand. I hope you are better soon. Soos, glad you are feeling better also, enjoying coffee is always a good sign.
Take care all. Linda

Sarah---THERE YOU ARE!
No wonder you haven't posted lately----I couldn't remember if you were on the road or visiting, or what----I tend to get my people mixed up on here, with so many things/events/family things going on. What a painful fall that must have been, and your poor hand must have made doing anything just agony. Did the doctor set any bones, or brace the hand, or anything? Or is it one of those, "keep it still and slightly raised until the swelling goes down" prescriptions, which means having to be pretty much handicapped for a long period of time? Anyway, it is amazing how much we depend on our hands and fingers to do myriads of everyday chores we never give a thought to, until we can't do them any more! Please be careful to allow those bones to knit but ask how to keep the joints flexible, too, so you will have the full range of movement back again when the healing is done.
In the meantime, thanks for checking in so we know what's up. Be careful when you and Nicky take your walks!
