TUESDAY AND FIRST DAY OF FALL!
Posted: Tue Sep 22, 2009 4:38 am
GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
So very warm here today----57 degrees, and raining slightly. NO MICE, for the 4th day now!! Perhaps I have finally chocked all the holes and cracks where they were getting in here----OR (shudder) they are all holed up in nests nursing babies somewhere in this house!)
School was trying yesterday, but not traumatic. We have changed schedules around so I am no longer responsible for the psycho student during his 'free' (lunch, bus, recess) time. My shift is study hall in the room with a telephone right there. I still go to bed each night and plan what I am going to say to my other two students whom I follow to regular classes each day to try to make a difference in their attitudes toward the world and toward themselves. I am leaving the discipline for my group of three, including the psycho, to the art teacher in charge first period, as she says her classes are very open to conversation and lax rules. (As a result of this, the psycho and the girl who adores him accomplish virtually nothing in her class.) I am there to merely escort whomever needs a 'break' to cool off from unacceptible behavior to the disciplinary officer in the main office area.
And so it goes.....I will be ready to retire in June, if not way before!!!
Coffee is hot and vanilla nut, but I'm about to make another pot of hazlenut for the road. C'mon in and sit a spell and tell us what's up in your world. I love reading all the posts when I get home from school each day, get out of my -go-to-work clothes, shed my shoes, and sit with my beer or, my latest favorite 'AHHH-ANOTHER IS DAY OVER' beverage, ELATIONS health drink (chondroitin joint stuff in liquid form) mixed with a touch of vodka! Then Molly and I do a tour of the property which is about two miles if we take the figure 8 route.
I'm looking forward to the latest pics of the PA GTG group!
Happy Tuesday and first day of Fall!
