Good Morning All - I made coffee but it is all in the thermos already. Sorry.
YES!
we are actually finally leaving for Vegas today. Only going 200 miles today to somewhere in Illinois. Want to see how everything goes and rides and squeaks etc. We do not have Internet on Jennie - have to wait until we get back. So hoping to find RV parks with or else I'll activate my Verizon Air Card - We're going across 70 untill about Denver then down to Moab and into Monument Valley then over to Vegas. Anyway thats what we say now. Anxious to see how we get along in Jennie - just not used to such close quarters.
I'll be keeping up the blog as we travel and will try to jump in here off and on.

bon voyage Carol... and "the driver!"
Thanks for putting the coffee on before you drove away. Here in the campground this a.m. it is very chilly. I feel bad for all of those campers in tents and popups. My trusty furnace is humming. I'll bake a re-do on those peach biscuits again this a.m. I have one fresh peach left. yum......
Today is head for home day. dang.... not that many more nights in the camper before it has to be winterized. I'll do that right after Columbus Day weekend which will be my last time out for this season. Where DID the time go?
I hope everyone is gearing up for a great day!

good morning
ahhhhh, coffee tastes good, and a little toast for breakfast hits the spot. Will
continue to do some cleaning today as I didn't get much done yesterday. Daughter
said she was coming over to help me but she never showed up. She's mad at me
so it was no surprise. Her and I are not agreeing on the budget plan.
Had a leak in the cabinet from the rain, got that cleaned up and dried out and
a bunch of laundry done, will do more today and tackle the walls. Its still cloudy
out so we just might get more rain but hopefully I can get stuff hung out long
enough to dry.
Enjoy your Sunday and be safe.

GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL!!
It's 42 degrees, bright, cyrstal clear sky, and warm sun beginning to hit my deck! August and September have been as nice and sunny as May, June, and July were drab, cold, damp, and dowright pouring-rainy! Perhaps we need to change our calendars to make August, September, and October be our summer months, and May, June, and July be our wet, spring months. That leaves November, December, January, February, March, and April for our winter----and that's pretty much accurate!
I went down the road toward the main route 3 last night to my nearest neighbor's place in that direction----two miles---for a great campfire GTG. Their fire pit was literally a huge, deep sand pit, carved out against a sand hill to make a nice safe place to burn culled wood and branches. It was awesome! The crowd was a mixture of some oldies and some youngies, and was really a fun time! The crowd the night before was all oldies, very sedate, very what I would say, 'put-on' or ostentacious with their bragging about books they have read or movies they have seen or their dogs and all the training schools they take them to----thorough-bred, expensive dogs, of course----none as wonderful as my Molly slut from Detroit brought from the Carolinas! So I am really glad I went there----I drank some Keystone Ice beers (no recipe!) and brought some of those HUGE marshmallows flavored vanilla and strawberry for the kids to roast. That is my kind of group----down to earth!! Some of their relatives from PA brought up tons of fireworks, which was the only part of the shindig I didn't appreciate---I have always hated fireworks---but it was really a monstrous display which must have cost a fortune to buy.
As there is nobody on the road but deer between me and there, I safely drove back here and went to bed at about 2:00 am, I believe.
This morning my daughter, Mandy, will come and help me with the chimney and pipe and woodstove. It will be so nice to be able to have a safe wood fire again, as these mornings and evenings are beginning to get really cold.
I had nearly 300 pics in my digital game camera yesterday, none of anything I could see but sky, trees, grasses, and fields! I think that the wind blowing branches and grass in the foreground moving causes the shutter to trip. I need to read more about the settings and find another way to set it up! I put it closer to the house last night, and will check it soon to see if it caught the morning deer that always come to the apple tree in the yard. I wish that infra red tripped the shutter, and not movement. That way, I would get only living critters. Aiming it is also hard to do. Oh well, I will just keep trying until I learn how to make it work.
The yard looks so bare now without my screen room that I took down yesterday afternoon. I am gradually going into winter mode. Richard called last night, and he was at another bluegrass festival somewhere in Vermont, strumming his guitar under the beautiful, bright full moon. Sure do wish I could have been there. I've still not called the realtors back about that slide-in truck camper on a piece of property they are selling----I wanted them to contact the owners to see if they would be willing to sell the camper for a reasonable price....if it turns out it's one that my truck could handle.
Thanks for starting the coffee this morning, Carol, and here's hoping your maiden voyage in Jennie will be a great one! I will try to remember to check your blog if you can't get in here. It's hard for me to think of Jennie as being 'close quarters'!!! But, of course, compared to your other huge rig, I imagine it does seem close to you!
Ava, I hope you get that leak fixed before it does any damage, and you and your daughter get together on budgeting!
Cedar, the worst part of the camping trip is always the coming home and packing up! Hope you and Kathy have a safe trip back!

Morning!
Having my coffee, watching the TV (nothing but infomercials), and checking emails and forums.
We just had a nice rain go through. Forecasting more today with a chance of hail. Hail is common for us so that's no biggie. It's generally only large pea sized.
Looks like some of our sistahs are getting ready to hit the road. Safe travels to them! Keep in touch often.
I probably will go see Little Missy. I have the back seat and the floor in the front full of 'stuff' to take to her. I still haven't gotten any bedding. My neighbor, that went with me when I first looked at Little Missy, told me of a place where he gets propane for his rig, so I think I'll take a drive in the car and check it out so when I need to I'll know exactly where to go. Also in the same area is an RV repair shop that does winterizing so I'll check to see exactly where they are located for future reference.
Ava, sorry you have a water leak. Hope it's nothing too serious.
Cedar, did you ever post your peach biscuit recipe? They sound yummy and now is the time when the Yakima peaches are in season. They sell them out of a big Uhaul truck here in town and are always so big and juicy.
Well, my tummy is growling so I guess I should put something in it!
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! I woke to the smell of chocolate cranberry coffee brewing, smelled delicious. It was pretty windy here last night and is still blowing. I even put on a turtle neck this morning as it is chilly. We are off to church and then home for the afternoon ~ will do laundry this afternoon. Nothing much going on. Hope everyone has a good day. Now the rain is coming down, sounds kinda cool on the roof of the rig. Take care everyone.

yes, it is the second recipe posted,.... this is it:
1 can of sliced peaches
1 envelope of biscuit mix
butter
brown sugar
cinnamon
confectioners sugar
Generously cover bottom of round cake tin with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and then dash some cinnamon on the brown sugar. Arrange drained peach slices in design on the bottom of pan. Mix biscuits according to envelope directions and drop by spoonfuls on top of peaches. Bake as directed. Biscuits will expand as they bake. When biscuits have baked, put serving plate upsidedown on top of biscuits and invert onto plate. Biscuits should come out of pan onto plate. Mix topping of confectioner's sugar and water or milk and drizzle on top,.... serve warm.
But this week I had fresh peaches,... oh so more yummy than canned,.... and didn't use cinnamon. OMG,.... can't describe how good they were. Had them this morning too .... love that oven, and unlike the oven in my other campers this one does not burn things on the bottom,.... whooooeeee!

I went to Sam's and Wal-Mart yesterday so have NO money now. lol I am trying to get ready to leave Wednesday for an RVW rally in Kerrville, TX. I need to stay out of Sam's because I always fall for one of their boxes of goodies. I bought some sweet rolls so Posie(cat) and I had a sweet roll for breakfast. She is the first cat I have ever had that liked sweets but she will also try anything we are eating. She would be a good role model for my grandson who won't try anything.
I am debating whether to go mow the grass at my son's trailer or wait until tomorrow. We have a chance of rain for the next week so afraid if I don't go today I won't be able to mow tomorrow. Or I could just take a nap this afternoon.

I vote for the nap! Miss Smartie-Pants Vickie kept me up arguing until around 3:00 this morning (see how mean she is under Recipes Section...)!!! And then I couldn't sleep, so up until around 5:30. Back up at around 8:00. Yes, I vote for the nap!!

Rain yesterday, rain today and supposed to rain tomorrow
No mowing of grass here. My cat, Murphy, has a sweet tooth. She can be sound asleep in the next room but comes running if I take out a donut, sweet roll, cookie, or cake.

Oh, Cedar, I think if I make the peach biscuits I'll end up eating the entire pan!
They sound wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
