Happy Thursday!

Good Morning everyone !
It's another beautiful morning here at Macomb. I took my first cup of coffee out to the picnic table and watched a grey squirrel busy with prep for winter. He is running around up in the top of the trees,... one tree to another and back again. It looks like he's pulling tips of branches off a maple tree,.. just the tip with three or four leaves on it and carrying it across the tree tops to a red pine. The top of the red pine was obviously broken off in our ice storm of 1998 and new branches have sprouted and grown skyward around the broken top which must be about 6-9 inches in diameter. Picture a Neptune's fork facing skyward. Now if this squirrel is building a winter nest there it could get nasty in the snow and wind and sleet to come. Hopefully he's tucking them into a hollow spot somewhere I can't see. Will go back out with binocs later.
Today I will have to go to the Fedex terminal in the city (Plattsburgh) to pick up a package. It's my cd/dvd drive replacement for this HP laptop. Original went belly-up and I have a lot of music and videos to get off of here. Will stop at Best Buy and let a Geek swap it out for me. I'd rather pay them than do something wrong,.. although I'll bet it's a simple job.
Other than that quick trip today will be a lazy day around the campsite. Tomorrow, too. Friends will stop by for a campfire tomorrow night. It looks like this grand weather will hold right through into next week. I have to leave here Sunday,... do laundry, etc. on Monday and start work for the school year on Tuesday.
Coffee's on,... pepsi and coke in frige and fresh donuts from Hannaford's bakery on the table.... sit yourself down and enjoy!
I hope all of our sisters here have a wonderful day!
