Fabulous Friday...Wooo Hooo...and it's Morning ! Yes, the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend..and best of all.. it ain't raining ...now it's going to be a grand one for sure..all three came together.. Can't ask for much better than that... aaaaaaah but you are all waiting to hear about my visit to the "Pin" Dr... Yes, it was a very different experience...a little nervous.. sure...who wouldn't be.. I mean having (what seemed like ) hundreds of different sizes and colored tips pins being twirled into you... ooooooooh smoke that thing !!!! From head to toe..dang..I looked like that puppet in the horror movie.. Pin Head herself .. I was joking (dr didn't have sense of humor) and as he very calmly spoke and soft.. you know the kind you have to keep saying "WHAT" if I had a hearing aide I would have had to crank that baby up on high volume.. a hint of a incense burning..(getting the picture) I expected him to come out floating on a rug..mmmm where's the music Dr..?????? ooooooh yeah.. and as he completed the sticking and twirling.. I began to feel a little vibrations..(as long as I didn't lift from the table).. and then with my imagination.. I kept thinking.. oh am I gonna spurt (you know like a tea kettle) for sure.. my knees were knocking ..as he says..."Madam, you must remain still" oh sure.. laying here with hundreds of pins.. oh I know I looked like a porcupine.. Mitch don't shoot me !!!! He explained in detail.. with me attempting to listen carefully.. sure hope I ain't being short circuited.. that this may take some time..but he's had good results showing with Neuropathy.. but in the event this doesn't work.. which is always a possibility that perhaps I should seek a neurologist.. that's last resort.. .. Leaving the Dr's office it started raining..and my demented humor says.."Sure hope I don't leak "... even the receptionist was dead pan serious... Guess.. my talent went down the drain !! So so far.. a little tingle.. and everyone in life sometimes needs those tingles LOL... I go back Tuesday...I wonder if he'll let me take a picture.. hahahahaha... Well that's my story and I'm stickin..(ouch) to it.. litteraly..!!!!

Cedar posted pictures.. Oh I love that sweet faced Cow... It's gotta be a Jersey Cow.. I call them the Elsie the Bordon Cow... I love it.. oh so cute.. when I was a young child my mother's cousin (many) had a farm up Northville, NYS and we went to visit.. they had a Cow (Named Elsie). and a Work Horse (named Bucky) never forgot that.. and that cow was a Jersey Cow.. she'd follow me .. and always lick my arm .. like sandpaper.. LOL and seeing those pictures Cedar brought back her memory... You must be very proud.. and that 4 H club is a lot of devoted work..

Redetotry..(BJ) Reiki.. I've heard lots about it from some of my friends.. they say, "it has helped them tremendously" more and more Drs are going back to a lot of the holistic remedies.. I did a lot with my critters over the years.. some worked and others had to go on to traditional meds..

See Sparkle has posted through out and about.. Good to hear from you Sparkle..always keep wondering what you are up too.. and when will you appear.. good thing too.. cause I've been wondering about those aliens.. did they snatch you LOL

RV Grammy (Lori and Ernie) Looks like we is in for good weather this weekend.. so that means.. campfires can burn and yes, like the ideal of chocolate hour and cocktail hour too.. combine them yummy.. LOL How's the cross stitching going..can't wait to see this project....

Seems like lots of the Sistah's are in the flow of things happening this weekend..and can fully understand that.. Mitch will be having her Sisterhood GTG... NaSoosie, Cedar, Lizzie and Carolinagal (Carol) are having their ORS GTG.. and RetiredHappy (Karen) has a visitor..and we expect as Karen says.."She'll be joining us"... SunshineCruiser (Carolyn) is now down to the finals.. she'll be a Retired Happy Camper..and ya know .. life begins..no more rushing.. just pull to the side and enjoy everything...

Well.. we had quite a few members join.. which is always a plus and we know they are real folks cause .. YES they posted and now we just have to get them into more action on the other topics...and I'm sure they'll feel right at home..cause this is like a home.. we all share such goodies ..even though they are virtual.. heck close your eyes ..and we is right along side of ya...now that could be interesting..hahahahaha...

Family will be here this afternoon.. and it's show time.. Sometimes I get caught up in.. "AGAIN". but you know my brothers and sisters are way up there in age.. and although I feel like I'm smothered..I have to remember that..one day it will be gone..and then I'll miss them horrible.. so.. I tell myself.. "Self, suck it up" and enjoy what you have while you have it."..plus they tell me they are getting their fill of me cause when I head South for the winter..they can take a break LOL..see there is always a morale to my stories.. hahahaha

Ok.. Sistah's.. needs to get Coffee Pot on and perking.. Kettle Whistlin for those Tea and Hot Cocoa Drinkers.. and yeppers the OJ and Colas are in the frig... I have a Raisin Cake, Date Nut Bread and Banana Nut,Blueberry Bread.. I'm in to the quick breads lately.. whip them babies up fast.. and slightly toast them Yes, Lernoa in the toaster oven with a little butter oh yeah .. So come join in and relax and let's hear what's happening...

Morning, all....Sorry I missed you on the IM, Zeee..........In the shower myself...getting ready for my Dr. appt. this am....having a little minor surgery on the face....cyst removal....I'll be fine...

Have to be there at 8am...yuck....

What a story, Zeee, what a story. I sure hope the pins work for you, and of course your description will keep us all reading along! Lori,..good luck with that cyst. Let us know you are ok, ok?

I'm off to the fair for the open cattle show. That means that it's open to all, not just 4-H. After that it will be back to the house, hitch and on the road to Soosie's. I'll have my laptop and air card so we'll see if I have a strong enough connection (or any connection at all!) to post a pic for you all. Yes, four of us in this group will be there. There is a lot of cross-migration between Open Roads Singles and here. (ORS is NOT a dating group) So if there are any WomenRV folks that would like to join a mixed group of good friends, come on over and we'll be sure you are welcomed in! http://www.openroadssingles.com . I used to belong to several groups,... have whittled it down to just these two. The cream always rises to the top, right?

what a cute picture Barbz, I love it!
A two hour office help position came up yesterday at work and I signed up for it. Hopefully I can latch on to a couple more hours and then be back up to an 8 hour
day. They treat those little "extra" hour thingies like a job opening and who ever
signs up gets an interview and then they choose, doesn't go by seniority. My guess
is they will slide the bosses daughter in there as she started recently. Last year
they had the other bosses daughter doing it but she quit during the summer.

GOOD MORNING BARBZEE AND ALL!!!

Beautiful picture this morning, Barb.....not that they all aren't neat, but I especially love this one!

Your pin cushion day sounds rather droll and weird, as the guy couldn't even laugh or anything! BUT, I say, whatever works will be very welcome, and I sure do hope this works for you. I can't imagine going through that and having to be so serious and all-----I think he may have thrown me out! At least next time you will know what to expect, and it should be more 'serious'!!!

This is the day my 'campground' should begin filling up! My ORS GTG begins whenever anyone gets here! I am so excited! The sky is cloudless, the sun will be warm, and the weather for almost a week sounds as if it will be perfect! As Cedar has voiced, it would be neat if more of you single women could join ORS, too, and then this annual GTG would have even more people! ORS has single men and women, and, because it's not a dating-type site, we are all actually very close friends. I, too, belong only to the 'cream of the crop' groups-----just this one and ORS. And Beth runs them both very efficiently! This annual event could become so large that we might have to reserve half an actual campground to accomodate us all some day!

I sure do hope Connie gets to meet Liz and Carol this trip, but I think Liz had planned to leave Sunday---the day Connie will arrive. Perhaps Liz's schedule is flexible?? Can we twist your arm for another night, Liz? We shall see....

Molly and Twtich and I are in the trailer this morning. I brought Twitch out last night as he was so lame I figured spending a night in his hut out here might help him feel better, and it worked---he seems more alert this morning and is pigging down his breakfast.

I will mow the screen room today, and one patch of lawn where a trailer sat the last time I mowed, whip up a batch of recipe, make chicken salad for tonight's supper as people arrive, get some dry firewood ready for a campfire, and sit back and await the good times!

Please drive safely and slowly you all----I think you all have my phone number in case you need some help with any directions. Leave me a message and a number where I can call you back if I am mowing, and I will do just that. There are colored strips of surveryor's tape on the branches at the end of my driveway, and a white scarf that my mother-in-law's sister hung to mark the place for some friends of hers who might come to visit her at the cabin at the pond.

Thanks for the coffee, Zee....sure does taste good this morning, as it's cool----I even put some socks on my bare feet as I am typing this from the trailer. We will all keep in touch from here as my WiFi should provide access from the screen room, my screened-in porch, and perhaps even in some rigs.

Good Morning everyone! Zeee I love your little boy drinking from the green water hose,,, it's what we did all our lives. Now they make us use white hoses for water on our RV's, go figure. :roll:

I'm glad your Pin Dr.'s appointment went well. I can just picture you (if I knew what you looked like, that is) drinking a glass of water and having it coming out of holes, all over, like in the cartoon's....hmmmm, could be an idea for one of your cute little creations you make for us. :lol:

Sounds like Soos is gonna have a fun time at her house, I'm glad yall are having great weather for it.

Cedar, I'm like Zeee, I love those sweet faces of the cows,,, of course your grandchildren have sweet faces too! :lol:

Ava, I hope you get those extra hours you want,,, if not, then something even better!

Lori, good luck with your Dr.'s appointment too!

Settled into the Wal-Mart parking lot in St. Robert, MO for the night after an easy 300-mile drive from Bartlesville, OK. Weather is fine, nice breeze. I'm worried about the money lasting for this trip and till the end of the month , but that's a usual thing. I underestimated how much it would cost to rent the house and pay utilities in a place where it's very hot and humid in the summer and cold, cold, cold in the winter. It felt so good getting back into the RV again. And it's been too long since I've seen my brother's side of the family. It was now or not at all. So, maybe I'll end up begging on the street to get back or something.

I might walk around here a little later when it gets cooler, see what there is to see. For now, it's nice just reading a good book, King's Oak by Anne Rivers Siddons. Thought I'd read all of hers but not this one.
