Good morning Zeee and all our sisters!
I'm slowly settling back into routine here at home. I arrived back here yesterday at mid-day. I am pretty sure Soosie is still there and will return home today. We were lucky and only had a little rain. Actually it was before the actual festival began. Very good luck.
We packed up some Sat. night and then finished yesterday a.m.... doing the dump routine (they had a dump station as you drive out... but for $15! Worth it I guess.) We stopped at a rest area coming south on I-87 for a few minutes then on home. Kath wanted to get over to the school to work in her classroom a bit today and do housework at her place, and I wanted to get some housework done here before this week's steamroller starts. It's our county fair so i'll be busy. Tomorrow I'm a judge at the 4-H bldg and then three youngest grands show their cattle on Wed. and Friday.
Hope all of you are doing well and having a great day!

All Sistahs out there - we have been duly chastized! Man, I felt bad at the first one and then BLAM - 2 more woven throughout Monday's post!
Let us make an effort to never let our Beloved Weekday Morning Cheer be disappointed in us again!? Okay?
When I first joined this group, Zeeeeeee wasn't around doing the Morning Show. So, a couple of times, I started coffee. Then Barb came back and I saw and learned what the column was all about and felt awful for having intruded in her 'space'. Now I know for sure I was wrong! And I felt the same way about birthdays - wrong again. So, to all you new ladies, jump right in for the Morning Column (although NO ONE does it quite like our Zeeeeeee) and wishing a happy birthday to anyone.
WE WON'T LET YOU DOWN AGAIN, Zeeeee!!!
And Happy Monday to everyone! I'm off to Paducah for some Cracker Barrel Grits for breakfast. YUMMO!
..

School starts today so I'm just grabbing my cuppa and gotta get dressed.
I never saw a sunday morning post until this morning, wth? Something
wrong with my "view new posts" button? I swear, its the truth Barbz and
if I had seen it I would have said good morning, so sorry Mitch that I didn't
see it.
Barbz, daughter is healing up fine, there were no torn ligaments on the mri,
just the small fracture. The dr's had her stay in the sling and now some minor
therapy exercise. She is mending well.
Ok, time to get dressed, have a great day.

Good Morning to all - best thoughts for a wonderful day. Around here it is a little cool - inside not out. Debated about metioning this but need some place to spew. We bought an RV over the weekend. Yes I know we already have a wonderful, big, pretty, comfortable, has it all one. But a while back someone mentioned Ms Tioga and George so we have been following his blog for some time. The Driver has become enamored of his life style - visiting and parking in all the small villages in Mexico. I must admit I too think that is great. It is something we really can't do in Alfie. We've already taken down enough power lines in Mexico with her.
So he read an ad for something he couldn't refuse. Its a 29 foot Class C Jamboree with only 17,000 miles on it. Price was really cheap - now its the "other stuff" that will kill us. Picked it up Sat and he already has it all torn apart inside to remodel. It's in the driveway sitting next to Alfie - like mother and pup.
Alfie goes into doctor tomorrow to get refrigerator recall taken care of. So if you see a post titled GRRRRRRRR it's propable just me spewing.....Will post pictures etc later and as work progresses. I know the 7 of us spent one full year in a 24 foot - but this just seems small after what we (I am) are used to. I know quit b**tc**g And no we are not wealthy - pulled a hunk from savings to do this - and will be paying a good amount every month for Alfie to just sit there. Best stop right now...

Oh ! Did I Miss that Post on (Sunday) LOL Mitch you is Bad.. and Cedar.. You is not far behind her either..now where oh where is that Vickie... mmmmmmmm
You know I am laughing here.. yes, I was a little disturbed..cause I feel bad I can no longer do weekend postings.. It's very difficult for me with family and me being disabled right now... I struggle to sit long at the computer but my legs swell beyond a point where they leak.. Yes, I need diapers for my legs.. LOL Hey, I'm just thrilled to have circulation in them now.. Next the Pin Doctor...
All joking aside.. I do realize that lots of you are busy.. Just a simple Good Morning is all that is needed.. Just to let others know we are here...
Birthday.. heck I enjoy them.. but some times.. I'm caught short.. I learn when they are the morning I post.. so to the drawing board I go.. .and big thing.. Make sure if you post pictures they are either yours or copywritten approved.. Yes, it's a pain in the butt.. and let me tell you I have hundreds and I do mean hundreds of approvals or ones I bought and paid for.. I also have all kinds of TOU.. that's terms of usage.. on what I can animate or what I am allowed to color..
We have to be very careful as not using the proper info can cause Sites to be shut down.. that's a fact Jack !! So .. be my guest.. if you see a Birthday.. post it.. or maybe someone has one and didn't tell us.. let us know..
These are issues that have to be filled out when you all join.. put the data in and we'll all do our best to give it a go..
So.. heads up.. I'm here Monday thru Friday.. not a problem .. .. and the Weekends.. Enjoy and please remember to just say Good Morning.. I never leave my kitchen empty..
PS... Mitch when you joined I was on leave..our family had a tragedy.. we became victims of a Murder and it still seems like only yesterday.. and soon it will be going to trial ..which I will then leave again.. I pray it will be over soon.. as we have not been dealing well with it.. to rehash the whole thing again is going to be a nightmare.. So I ask that you all keep us in your prayers ...
Ok.. I'm off my soap box and into the washing machine.. well not me.. but the laundry.. heck I couldn't fit in the dang thing !
God Bless... and above all... Do as I do.. !!!! yep, cause a ruckus ...
Zeee......

Good Morning....Remember (regarding having 1 or 2 MH...) that no one as really been able to support the idea that for many of us RV'ing is a good economic idea ... unless maybe you are full timing. Those of us with stick houses are driven for other reasons..... (Who said crazy, was that the voice in my head?.... ) I think Miss Tioga is 27 ft so I doubt the extra 2 ft will get you in too much trouble. I think I am spoiled with only being 8 ft wide though. On those little streets ever inch counts as George has discovered. Hey, if you want to fit everywhere, Margie is trying to find a good home for Ms B Haven!!!!!!! Her set up really is sweet, for those who are used to living in small NYC apartments!
Get to take the step mother to the eye doc today....she is worried that she is losing the ability to read (macular degeneration...) and the doc might not be able to do much for her at 88. I am trying to decide if I give her feed back regarding my opinion of her actions on Friday.......She had asked me three times on Thursday if my brother could come and help us get to the bone doc appt. scheduled on Friday. I wasn't sure but considered that she might have been scared about the transferring into and out of the car. SO....I asked my brother and he came. Unfortunately for him, I was a few minutes later arriving. Apparently, she lectured him on how he should "help" me more and be more responsible (?) She knew enough not to say anything to him in my presence..what does that say. My SIL shared the story with me on Sunday..... I asked, he came... duh? This is the lady that wonders why she doesn't have a good relationship with her step-son!.... I know that my brother and SIL will support me in any way they can if I ask.....We have agreed that I am the point person....my brother has also admitted that he knows that I can remain calmer than he can when the Step mother's behavior and comments go off..... Oh well, apparently we are still dealing with a clueless lady!!! All vented no. I feel better, thank you!
On to check on some banking issues and off to the care facility..... Good journeys today where ever they may take you. Some journeys are on the road and others are of the heart.......

GOOD MORNING CEDAR AND ALL!
I am back in my own 'campground' this morning! Laura and I left Alburgh at about 6:00 last night, and by the time I got rehooked up here, hot bath taken, and email read, it was too late to even think about getting on the computer. I, too, loved the festival, and, as Cedar says, Rhonda Vincent just doesn't cut it with me! I needed ear plugs for her shrill, piercing voice! However, I did like the Grascals----not being a veteran for bluegrass music, I don't have the discerning ear for the traditional that Cedar has. If I had my druthers, I would opt for folk music over bluegrrass any day! But this festival always does have the "Woodstock" feel to it, and with live fantastic music going on all day and most of the nights, I so look forward to it each year. The people who own the property (hay pastures for a farm) do a fantastic job of organizing and making things come together. The porta potties were kept immaculate with pumping and sprucing up many times in a day. The Alburgh firemen served dinners and breakfasts, snacks, ice, coffee all day long each music day. They had a couple of 50/50 money raffles, and raffles for winning a guitar and a fiddle---alas, as usual, my luck wasn't to be! Many crafts tents and other vendors were set up in a special area. I took a few pics, which I hope to find time to download and post after the other chores I have to attend to today.
Which leads me to the telephone message I had on my answering machine when I walked through the door last night---two friends of mine who used to live in Sarananc Lake while our kids were growing up are coming to Saranac Lake for a funeral on Tuesday, and I invited them to stay with me as I haven't seen them in many years! So, along with the GTG at the end of the week, I will be having some great old friends for a couple of days! I am so glad we came home last night rather than this morning, as it will give me more time to get stuff together, hit the stores, do my laundry, clean the house, set up the area for the RVs, and whatever!
Molly is still in bed! I guess keeping on 'dog vigilance' for 5 days was very tiring for her! I haven't been into the house to see Twitch yet, but he seemed none the worse for wear for his 'mini-Woodstock' adventure!
I checked my rain gauge, and we got just under 5 inches of rain here while I was gone!! Whew! Our weather in VT couldn't have been better----one day with a couple of wild torrential showers, lasting little less than 10 minutes each, and nothing but fair skies, beautiful clouds, gentle breezes the entire time. Quite the opposite of last year when I was there and it rained, HARD, every single day! Talk about Woodstock-alikes-----the mud and standing water in those hay fields was something to behold! There were no naked mud frolickers there, however!
I heard from Liz, and she and Carol will be here on Friday, as will most other ORS members! That gives me a few days to do the last minute chores. I will enlist my friends Tom and Joan, coming Tuesday, to help me put the lifter pole under my telephone/power wires to provide space for the tall RVs, like Kevin's! I have a few stray maple branch-twigs to cut out of the driveway to ensure no scratches on any rigs coming in. I have enough shelters so if it rains every day, we will still be dry!
Off to get to work! Happy Monday to all, and I hope you all have a great day!

Well it is a rainy day here. First rain we have seen in a few weeks. I will admit that we needed it. But I want summer back...I am not ready for fall yet.
The thing is that temp drop with arrival of the rain. That is what is starting to get to me..the drastic change in temps they have always been that way...i guess that is a sign that I am getting old.
Well I spent most of yesterday working with Kodie on the potty thing. We do this about every 6 months spend a couple of days to see if she cognitively understands what she needs to do. Well for the first time we have had success and progress. Not sure she has really connected it quite yet. As I take her to the toilet about every 20 minutes. We read a story and then get off. Well yesterday we timed it out and she pee'd on the potty..that was after about 6 accidents and me taking her to the bathroom. So by the time she went to bed last night..she had kept her underwear dry for about 4 hours and used the potty 5 times. Mind you we had been giving her a ton of water all day. That is more progress then we have ever had. We have never been able to get her to go on the potty.
So we will continue today and see how it goes.

Not quite morning, but what the heck. I've been wondering how the weather knows that school starts this week here? It's been very hot and humid all summer and now we have lots of rain, thunder, high winds, and supposedly some hail tonight. With all these weather extremes, including the winter, I'm just not sure how people who've lived here all their lives manage. I guess they get used to it. Maybe I'm a California wimp, as I wrote in my blog last winter. Whatever it is, I'm going to be really glad to get back there for a while, to some DRY heat and not so darned many bugs.
