Good morning Zeee and all our Sisters!
Looks like another nice day is dawning here in the northeast. We were sure due for a few. And I just checked the weather forecast for the location in VT where Soos and I and some other friends will be after tomorrow...lookin' good. Whew..... I'm relieved as I promised Soos in chat last night that I'd ordered good weather!
Today will be continue to putter around home,... I do have to make a dump run later this afternoon. Stopping my garbage pickup was one thing I did to cut costs after my "not-so-DH" left,... and I have continued to take it myself about every three weeks. As a single person i really don't generate that much and the pickup was a weekly expense. Works for me and the landfill is only about 7 miles away.
OK,...time to fix some b'fast and get busy. Nobody here but me to do the "honey-do" list so it's time I got started!

GOOD MORNING ALL!
It's a warm, humid (54 degrees) morning out there, but I fear the sun will be mostly under cover today.
Molly's General medication seems to have completely worn off this morning, as she is no longer staggering around, looking drunk, or anything. And her eyes look quite good, although I have not yet put the meds into them. She ate some milkbones (first food since surgery yesterday) and decided to get up on my bed to watch our resident rabbits in the yard. I'm very glad I took her back to the vet's to make sure there are no stray bits of grass seed or whatever in her eyes. The irritation is either like a pink eye infection, or perhaps just an allergy to something.
The road crew is back at work this morning, grinding up our old road, putting down a new base, rolling it smooth, and I suspect they will ready to pave it before too long----perhaps while I am gone to the music festival.
The porta potty guy is due to come today---I hope he can get past the work crew! (Porta Potty for my GTG next week and the following week. My friend, Laura, will come too and help get the final things packed and then, if it's not raining, we will hitch up tonight so we can get off early tomorow morning. Time now for me to gather up all my bedding and wash it all. Hope you all have a good day . After this morning post, I doubt I will be back on here until maybe Monday night next week. If the weather looks iffy for Monday, however, I may head back Sunday afternoon.
Happy Tuesday, y'all!

good morning ladies
not much going on in my part of the world lately, I still cope with Bandits pain. The
pain killer helped him I'm sure of it, but he can no longer do the stairs. He seems to
be ok going down but coming up he sits there and waits for me to come and pick
him up to bring him in. Its a good thing he's only 18 lbs as I can manage that. But
the "pts" thing comes to mind and I know his time is near and I certainly can't let
him suffer.
Will keep up with all his medicine for now and see if he shows any
improvement over the next week.
One last day of summer payroll (today) then its back to the grindstone. Still plugging
away at finding a part time job to fill in the gaps. I did speak to the field trip lady
yesteday and she gave me hope that I could help her with the billing and paperwork
that goes with her position and also she will give me a saturday field trip once in
awhile that will really help. The saturday trips are usually 10 to 12 hours. Every
saturday would be nice but I know thats not going to happen
Grabbing more coffee and then its time to get dressed and ready for work. Have
a great day and be safe, and add a little prayer in there for my Bandit.

Here's a quick little read to put a smile on your faces this morning!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recently, in a large French city, a poster featuring a young, thin and tan woman appeared in the window of a gym. It said:
THIS SUMMER DO YOU WANT TO BE A MERMAID OR A WHALE?
A middle aged woman, whose physical characteristics did not match those of the woman on the poster, responded publicly to the question posed by the gym.
To Whom It May Concern:
Whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, sea lions, curious humans). They have an active sex life, they get pregnant and have adorable baby whales. They have a wonderful time with dolphins stuffing themselves with shrimp. They play and swim in the seas, seeing wonderful places like Patagonia, the Bering Sea and the coral reefs of Polynesia . Whales are wonderful singers and have even recorded CDs. They are incredible creatures and virtually have no predators other than humans. They are loved, protected and admired by almost everyone in the world.
Mermaids don't exist. If they did exist, they would be lining up outside the offices of Argentinean psychoanalysts due to identity crisis. Fish or human? They don't have a sex life because they kill men who get close to them not to mention how could they have sex? Therefore they don't have kids either. Not to mention who wants to get close to a girl who's skin is all scaly and smells like a fish store?
The choice is perfectly clear to me... I want to be a whale.
P.S. We are in an age when media puts into our heads the idea that only skinny people are beautiful, but I prefer to enjoy an ice cream with my grandkids, a good dinner with a man who makes me shiver and a latte with my friends. With time, we gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy. Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think, "Good gosh, look how smart I am"!

Twitch and Molly and I all send happy thoughts to Bandit, and to you, Ava. It's very stressful when you know a beloved friend's end of life on earth is near. That 'not knowing for sure' when that sad day will come that you have to do what we all have had to do to release our 4-footers from pain takes a very big toll on us. I know that my Twitch cat will not see another summer, but I am just hoping that I can provide him with a little fun and interesting life during this one. There's my mother's voice again in my brain: "Nobody ever said life is easy---life is tough, but it's all we have, so make the most of it while it's with you."
I suspect that's advice that is inborn in our 4-footers, but we humans always have a tough time learning it and dealing with it.
Hugs to you both from all of us.
And Mitch----thanks for a much-needed laugh and great advice this morning over my late coffee! Gotta check my butt more often now!

Good morning Zee and the rest of you gals'
I am new to the site (this is my 3rd posting) and so I just wanted to say good morning and thanks for letting me join.
This is a busy week for my husband and I. We leave Thursday for Boise to go and help our son, Brandon, and his family move to Lewiston. Brandon got a new teaching position at Cul De Sac School District and will be teaching high school math. On Friday, Ron my DH, will be taking Max, our 10 yr old grandson, to the Roaring Springs water slides and then on Saturday we will be loading up the truck and driving to Lewiston on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday we will be helping to unload/unpack and get them settled in their new place. Also, while there I will get in lots of grammy time with Max and Christopher, 16 months. We return to Blaine on Wednesday.
Today I am meeting a friend at our church to discuss her daughter's wedding reception and then we are going out for lunch.
Wishing everyone a delightful day.

Good Morning from hot and humid Illinois, the dew point is 77!! It is only 85 outside but feels like 95 the weather channel says and they aren't kidding. I want to go back to Michigan.
A couple of friends are coming over this afternoon for a little birthday get together (not mine) I saw a Paris Puff Pastry ring filled with real whipped cream and fresh srawberries with a bit of a chocolate drizzle on top at my favorite coffee shop and couldn't resist. I tried a tiny taste off the side and it is divine! I want mine now.
Ava I'm sending you special hugs today as I know it is so hard to face these decisions. I believe you and Soos will know when the time has come for your little loves as pets will give you a look you will clearly understand.
I have all the work done I planned for today except that darn dusting aaauuugh so I might as well get it over.
Send cool thoughts this way. Hope all is well wherever you are.

Hi Zee, and everybody, yep I've been a 'reader' for the last few weeks....on my iPhone! Easy to read, a bit difficult to post. My aircard is so sketchy it's just plain frustrating to try to do much. Soon I will spend an afternoon at my aunties to post to my blog and some pics here.
Anyway, I'm home in CA after 10 day road trip to OR with my sister and her two grandsons. Traveling with 10 and 12 years old boys is a great adventure. We had too much fun. Lots of time on the southern OR coast, I could have stayed there the whole trip. Over to Winston to visit the Wildlife Safari; highway to Crater Lake was closed by forest fire, so we went back to coast and camped in the redwoods.
And today, it's time to give my Roadtrek a good cleaning, inside and out. Wow, yesterday I tried vinegar and water on my windows, as suggested by cousin, they are just sparkling! So will use that on my van windows too.
Welcome to newbies! Hope you enjoy the forum. Have a fun day....

It is another wonderful sunny day here.
Well today... I am going to try and finish the kitchen deep clean today...may not get to the fridge.
Then this afternoon Kodie has her horse back riding and Zeke has football practice tonight.
I might head over to work on the playground...we are in waiting mode..we did as much as we could last night, but with no access to where they are storing all the parts and pieces we could not get the few pieces we needed. So one of the other gals and I sat down last night and figured out what we needed. So hopefully she is able to get those items delivered to the site today. I would say that a couple more nights and it will be completed. There hardest part left will be the large double split slide. Other then that is just little things.
When it is done I will post a picture.

Zeee, your kitchen must be full, good thing you're used to lots of people there! I had to go back and count how many posts there were, 11, couldn't stop there, decided to make it an even dozen!
Well, I got the grass mowed yesterday, the yard is 1 1/3 acres, so I can zip it out in just a little while on my JD. Should I be so inclined
, weedeating and spraying should be done today, along with the 20 sacks of top soil we've been carrying around in the back of the pickup for about a month or so now,,, maybe I could just plant flowers in it and have a true flower bed on the truck, wouldn't that be pretty,,, just drive around. Hey, I could plant a veg.garden and when we're traveling around in the rv, just walk out and pick a meal,,, okay maybe not. It'd probably rust out the truck too fast, now that I think about it, not to mention the weight!
Speaking of weight, thanks Mitch, I think I've got a pretty cultured butt,,,, um educated tummy,,, and come to think about it,, happy thighs, well, you know, gives a whole new meaning to Smart A--.

Afternoon all. I;ll be lucky number 13, after all I did say RABBITS first thing on the first. Ava and Soos, hugs and good thoughts to you for your fur babies. I have a 15 yr old shepherd/lab mix that I'm watching out for also. We've been through a lot together, so this will be hard.
Well it's back to the triple digits again, for at least the next 10 days. Makes one be real lazy. I have a large storage shed at the back of my yard that my neighbor uses. He does all the yard work for rent. Works for me.
Everyone, stay safe when traveling and at home.
Soos remember, no dancing around the campfire. Have a great time at the festival,Cedar as well. Linda
