GOOD MORNING, ALL!!!
I hope this morning is dawning well, for you, Barbzeee, and that you are feeling better and better as the time goes on. We can't wait for you to get back and keep us all informed, as you do so well! It seems that I am the first one to post on here this morning, so I will do my best!
It's a fairly decent morning now----61 degrees, slight breeze, and it has stopped raining like it was when I first woke up at 5:00 am. I looked outside, saw a deer in the yard that Molly was growling at, and crawled back into bed. What a total luxury to be able to do that!
Today I will vacuum the house, do one more load of laundry---mainly the covers over the chairs in the living room as they are totally mohaired with Molly and Twitch fur----gather all the stuff I need to take to my daughter's house tomorrow, make my famous 'recipe' for toasting in the 4th, and pretty much wait for the time to pick up kids at Plattsburgh Airport!
I shopped for groceries at Price Chopper store in Lake Placid yesterday, and earned enough on my PriceChopper card to get gas at the local station for 40 cents a gallon less than normal! I kicked myself when I got home, however, as I had the gas containers for lawnmower and Kicker in the back to fill, and I forgot! You can only use that discount on your card once, up to 20 gallons. (Until I shop again and earn more discount----once I held it for almost the month you are able to use it, and got 60 cents per gallon off the going price!) I only needed about 11 gallons yesterday. Sigh----makes me so mad when I do stuff like that!
Sun is actually peeking through here, and I can feel the temperature rising. I am really going to miss this neat computer desk on my porch in the winter! It's beautiful out here!
Here's where I am....and the rain has started coming down yet again! Sigh----where is the nice warm July sun, anyway?? That little card game (Parcheesi?) table top in the background with the table cloth over it is my Yamaha generator which I keep here to use for emergencies in the winter. The table top came from one of the various camper vans I have had over the years! Serves a nice purpose here! Sometimes hoarding pays off! It even has two little drink cup holders built into it! It's covered with THICK polyurethane finish, so should hold up just fine out here for the summer. I will periodically start that generator to keep it running smoothly.
Pull up a chair, join me here in Barb's kitchen, and let us know what's up in your world today. I may not be on here for the next couple of days, so whoever gets up first, it'll be up to you to get things going here until Barb gets back. I could be wrong---my daughter might have a router at her house, and I might be able to get on. We will be partying hardy! (And hearty, too!)
Happy 4th weekend. I need to get my flag from the barn that has been flying for the past 30 4ths, and take it with me to daughter's house to fly high yet again. As soon as this latest rain shower stops!
