Alrighty it's now Wednesday..Middle of the week too..Morning ! and it's gonna be not a bad day..well anything is better than all that darn rain.. I looked out my yard..and oh my the Grass is Knee High to a GrassHopper..(hubby's kind of little sayings) so hopefully we'll have some dry days and yep...on the tractor and mow..in fact I like that one..just ride Sally ride LOL..Can ya tell it's a good morning so far..No wet paws ...no mess to clean..all is well and I can just sit back and read..speacking of which..

Nasoosie (Soos)..shopping on line is one of my favorite things to do too.. I like the comparative pricing..and boy I love not having to go out in traffic..but I still some days like to touchy feely things too... They had some great deals on computers .. even got those great long lasting batteries too..Lots for your money today..only thing I don't like is Vista..I had to remove it from my computer and go back to XP..lots of my programs just wouldn't work right. Good luck and let us know what ya finally get..

Cedar..Yep, you got me hooked..love the comfort of movies coming to your home..little walk to the mail box and pick and choose on line or download and watch..my friend hooked up that PC to TV thingy and loves it.. Movies on Demand..much much cheaper than any of the cable offers.. Just use basic cable and the rest is history..LOL..Thanks again !

I loved Crator Lake.. and the waterfalls as you drive down .. I have a PA Dutch Coffee Crumb Cake and Corn, Blueberry and Banana nut Muffins...(butter if ya need it ) and I'm hungry too...mmmmm sounds like a frittata on the menu..good idea... biscotti on the side LOL Do have a seat ..sit a spell and of course we'll all listen..

Good morning ZEEE!

What a great morning it is here... just had my breakfast cereal out on my deck enjoying that mountain view. Oohhh I waiting a long time to do that!

Only two more half days of school then Friday we have our final awards assembly and slide show and then,.... graduation on saturday and a couple of parties,.... whew.... vacation arrives!

I'm excited about meeting a member of our Open Roads Singles group on Sunday for a mini-gtg with him and Soosie. He's from the western states and doing a swing through the east. ORS is not... I repeat, NOT a dating site. Simply birds of a feather. Anyone that joins and starts that "dating" stuff from the matchmaking sites quickly learns that we all aren't intersted.

Well sisters,.... off to jump into some capris, tshirt and crocs and head to school. This last week is very relaxed even for wardrobe!

For anyone shopping for a new computer, if looking at a PC I read that Vista will soon be replaced by Windows 7, I think the beta is already out. So... I would either wait if it isn't ready or go to a Mac. Vista is a mess.
My friend just bought a new MacBook the aluminum one with all the new 'green' features like less mercury and less of the smelly fire retardant that is in the plastic. I notice they are downplaying those little facts now in their ads. But she ordered by phone from Apple direct and bought the computer and received a free printer and iPod for $999. The plus with a Mac is you don't have to have all the virus software. Oh, and the Windows for Mac which gives you power point, excel etc. was $40! and they are loading it. So there are good deals out there, I also notice that Acer and HP have really tiny computers out now but not sure what all they do.
I have a Macbook and kept my old PC with windows XP if you have always been a PC person the learning curve is or has been for me a bit of a challenge. One thing that helped, I found a regular keyboard on e-bay and a wireless mouse. I found typing on that flat keyboard frustrating.

Made it another day without anything new breaking, malfunctioning, etc. I'm on a roll now.
Treated myself to a night out playing bingo. Didn't win but enjoyed the night out.
Am waiting for service tech to arrive to do routine service on central units. We have had a week with temps at or near 100 and I certainly don't want to bee without AC.
Will have to wait until later to check out other parts of forum but am wishing all great adventures for the day.

Morning all from June Lake, CA. Absolutely beautiful here in the Eastern Sierras. Do have to say that it takes some time getting used to being at a high altitude. Did a day at Yosemite (since DH can't hike much with his foot problem, we had to enjoy it by car and short walks.) We're boondocking and somehow lucked out to be able to find 2 spots next to each other so we can enjoy spending time with our friends who are here also. Now that Barbz has given me a hint of the news, I'll have to go read some. Amazing that we have verizon service here. carold

Like Liz, not sure what today will bring. Wet, damp weather. I still might take a drive to one of the hot springs - only 60 miles away.

And I need to find a dry, sunny day - as one of the cracks my roof got in that brush with a gas station sign in NY one summer, has developed a leak again. I can fix it (my last fix lasted for 1 1/2 - just sometimes finally separates - and I have the stuff) so need the sun to come out. When I saw a wet spot on the sofa this morning, I started to blame Peaches. Poor little girl had no idea - specially since she didn't do it. It's not too bad - and hopefully we'll have some dry time today - got my fingers crossed - so I can get on the roof and take care of it.

Okies, have walked Peaches in the rain - now I need to jump in the shower. Check out time here is 10 am - and I'll want to dump and fill with fresh water - so let's hope the rain is at least not heavy at that time Ah, I can just stay all wet - inside and out - haha.

Can ya hear me now??? LOL I have been trying to read and catch up on at least a little bit of what's been going on. This place sucks big time for wifi. If I were the owner, I would totally, flatly refuse to pay HughsNet for the internet service this month. It's been down more than it's been up. Only time I have to play on the net is very late afternoon or early evening. And that is about the worst time for the wifi signal. grrr

Did my first day of work today.......OMG!! Am I glad that I have the next two days off. I so ran out of steam between 1:00 and 1:30pm this afternoon. Whew, I never realized just how much work went into making a bed. I have 8 rooms and one park model trailer to take care of. Today I did 6 rooms as one was vacant and the other was a stay over. The park model trailer I handed off to the head sup and the girl that was suppose to be helping me today, but didn't. ~sigh~

It is so much fun messing around with this co2. "NOT"! Will be glad to get to a lower elevation and get rid of it!!! I better find a big hunk of wood when I say that! Get to knocking fast and furious.

They are trying to get me on Medicaid here so that I am not swamped with that medical bill. Right now it if kind of iffy as I gross over $1000 a month. Not suppose to gross over $990 a month. So they might have to do it at a sliding scale??? Right now almost any help would be appreciated.

We have ordered something to eat here in the lodge and have gotten it to go. I am ready to kick back and get my feet up. We tried earlier to get dinner but as employees we were shuffled off to the side because they had a party of 13 walk in to be seated. Sparkle was a champ and took pity on us, she ran out in the kitchen and got each of us a bowl of soup to tame the hungries that were growling and biting!!!

ECHO!!! Welcome home! It sure is good to hear from you! I assume you are going to look for a new job at a lower altitude, yes? Or get them to cut your hours back? What are you doing with CO2? I thought that oxygen was O2, and that CO2 was carbon dioxide. Surely you are not breathing carbon dioxide? Unless you have something wrong with you that I have never heard of, that requires that you cut back on Oxygen and take in carbon dioxide! Anyway, I am hoping you are going to take it easy until you can find a more suitable job that will keep you somewhat active (not like that sitting down on the phone job you had before) but not so active you run out of breath. If you were just a work camper, and not a full-time housekeeping person, that job you have there might work. Perhaps you can be a filler-in person for others that are working full-time? Full-time sitting is no better than full-time hard physical work for someone who has breathing and circulation problems, as I am sure the docs have told you. And, if you are cut back on hours, your salary will qualify you for medicaid. You certainly cannot pay for all the medical service that you've had so far.

Anyway, I am so happy you are back! Stay in touch as often as you can, and take good care of yourself. How is Kelly doing?
