Good Morning Zeee! (and all our sisters!)
Foggy, foggy dew here this a.m. but very warm at 58°. I'd sure rather be camping but still have a couple more weeks of work. I'm sort of a zombie today,... my daughter is out of town on a work conference, my son-in-law is gone with his truck to FL and back delivering a load,... so I was the lucky one to go with my GD (granddaughter) to the spring sports banquet and awards last night. She got her medallion for playing varsity softball and has accumulated enough sports participation points (300) to hit her first milestone of being awarded her sports letter. She now has a big blue W to sew onto a jacket or just put up on her wall.
I'm sure she'll get more awards as she's just finishing 9th grade with three more years ahead playing j.v. and varsity sports. She'll be varsity soccer and softball for those three years, but will probably play j.v. basketball one more year and move up to varsity her junior year. As this school is primarily a basketball school we have a lot of kids participating,.. enough for three teams, modified, j.v. and varsity. Fewer go out for the other sports. In spring we also have golf, tennis and track teams. Lest anyone think academics are slighted,... they can't participate in sports unless they keep a good grade average. So i was a proud grandma! She's the reason I'm not a snowbird!
i'm off to the kitchen to grab some b'fast and then get ready to head out the door. Have a great day everyone!

Boy do I need some coffee this morning. I am having trouble with allergies and sinus!! I need something good to eat. I made some old fashion cocoa fudge yesterday. My older brother has made it since he was in high school and always makes some when we are all home. It turned out pretty well!! I took some over to Robert that my friend works for---he is 92!! Told him it was fudge like his Mama used to make. He always enjoys home-made goodies!! Now to snoop around and find something for breakfast. Gotta have another cup of coffee too!!

Goooood Morning everyone. We had that storm too yesterday and they are calling for more again this evening. We had some real GOOD lightening strikes close by, but the power only flickered a bit. Used to be, before they put the Fancy neighborhood in behind us, that every storm our power would go out for hours or days. Now that the fancy houses are back behind us, they don't let that happen any more! Trying to get back into the swing of things here...work that is. Would much rather be on the road. But I have a lot to do to get ready for my big trip in 3 weeks. Having the Autostop installed on the jeep, there is a recall on the Freightliner that needs to be tended to, and who knows what else. I have several lists going right now!
Hope everyone has a great day. I'm ready for another cuppa tea...thanks Zee. BTW, hope Robert does okay today!

It is another wonderful sunny day here in the PNW...I wonder if we are going to set some record....XX number of days with no rain. I am so surprised that the weather has lasted this long. It is not all that common..to go as long as we have without rain. I have had to water the grass and plants and that doesn't happen often.
Things are starting to quiet down...many activities have finally come to the end for the season....now it is just camping season. We will head out Friday for Leavenworth, WA. If any of you ever get a chance this is one place not to miss. It is a Bavarian Village and just fantastic place to visit. Last year was the first year we went and that was 4th of July weekend...it was great..they had a free festival in town for the kids, with face painting, cotton candy, snow cones, side walk chalk art and some of those air inflated bounce house and slides, etc. They also have an outdoor theater that puts on Sound Of Music every summer. DD is thinking she might like to audition for that in a few years. It would mean spending the entire summer there, but it would be an awesome learning experience.
Well...I know I still haven't had time to load pictures up to photobucket...but I will...eventually. LOL

Good evening from sunny Alaska, any time of day or night. A few sprinkles this morning as we all washed the road dirt off our RVs. They look good too...for a few days anyway. Sorry about all the storms you've been having in the lower 48. We have one more day & night in Skagway, then it's back to Canada and the road to Dawson City.
Hope your weather improves and you have a great weekend.

GOOD MORNING, ALL! (It's Thursday morning now, as I didn't have time to add to this thread yesterday!)
I was hoping that none of you was in that part of the country with those violent storms again yesterday, but I see that some of you were indeed. Sure hope all are ok, and that your weather will improve. Our day up here was warm, sunny, and top-of-the-line spring-like. I managed to get most of my lawn mowed again after school, and then spent a couple of hours at the pond with a friend and her family who were fishing again. The trout were being finicky last night, but they managed to get a nice feast of healthy, large brook trout. The frogs were serenading, the no-see-ums and mosquitoes were biting more than the fish, and it got downright COLD after the sun went down! But we had fun, sitting wrapped up in heavy clothes and chatting about the old days when all of our kids were small and used to spend all summer down there in tents and the leanto, buck naked all day, swimming, fishing, and boating. We had some fun times, as they did, too. There aren't too many places left around here where you can grow up that free.
Liz and group are still moving onward and upwards! I look forward each day to seeing some more spectacular pictures of the Ididaroad Trek. Cedar is trying to recover and get back into the swing of things after her camping weekend!
Coffee is still good, Barbzee! I zapped it in the microwave, and it's just as good as it was yesterday morning, I am sure! Thanks for the goodies and coffee.....now I'm off to get caught up on the rest of the posts! My computer was being stubborn yesterday, too, and didn't want to boot up at all. I need to do something drastic to ensure I don't lose all my stuff on here, in case it decides to give up the ghost. Later............
