Sunday in the slow lane

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday in the slow lane

Postby BirdbyBird » Sun Jun 07, 2009 8:10 am

Must be the slow lane ...no one is in the kitchen...OR everyone is so busy they got up and out and haven't turned on their 'puter. Nothing home made here but only Kroger's finest! And fresh! Drink up, munch as much as you can, all calories are guilt free. Sit back and keep up with all the travels of those that are out tripping! and be assured that the rest of us are just watching and waiting for our turn....either in our dreams or actual. ....I ran errands yesterday. Last journey was tot he pond on my late fsther's property so Stuart could try our his little life preserver. He acted like he didn't even know her had anything on his body. He threw himself off the small dock into the water and swam like there was no tomorrow. Happy dog! The trick will be his reaction next time I get the preserver out and he makes the connection. He has never had any trouble swimming in the past but I wanted him to wear the life preserver if I was to take him out on larger bodies of water in the kayak...just for safety sake! He passed. Off to the store to pick up some groceries before the Sunday crowd shows up after church, Have good adventures!

GOOD MORNING, ALL!

I can't believe how late it is and only Tina beat me here! The pond was beautiful again last night, and, although I did get up at 4:00 am to check for meteors, the sky was nearly all overcast with low-lying clouds and fog. So...unfortunately, no meteor spotting for me. Tomorrow morning, I believe the full moon will still be up at that time, and might make it too light to see anything. I will try it, anyway.

Today I will stack/organize my leftover firewood piles to make room for this year's deliveries when they come in July. I also want to set up a screen room for shelter against the biting bugs...near this trailer so I can enjoy my coffee outside from now on. The winds have been so horrendous, I will need some very strong guy lines and heavy-duty stakes to keep it down and safe. I hate setting these up by myself, but always have to.

Got a phone call while writing this...a friend's father died and she needed to talk. I'll add more later...gotta get screen room up while the sun is still out.

Decided to wait for help with the screen room as this is he first time it has been set up...I was able to do the other identical one, but that was years ago when I was a bit spryer! I have this one stashed as a back-up, and, sure enough, my daughter's 2 rotweiler-mix puppies (HUGE) went through the screeens last year, so time to break this new one out.

A friend is coming over for a steak dinner with fresh corn cooked on my outdoor grill. Guess I should spend some time inside after I stack some wood.

Coffee is hot and strong! Thanks, Tina! Sure wish I could have seen your poochie jump off the dock! Any pics of Stuart iun the water with his life jacket on?

Sit awhile and tell us about your day!.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning
got up early and got busy with my day, the mornings have so cool lately I just could
not pass up the opportunity to get something done outside. I now have a much bigger
area cleared of gravel, makes the dogs much happier. Will continue on that project
every morning till its all done.
Nothing else going on today for me, just going to vegetate in front of the tv. The
dogs always like it when we do that.
Enjoy your day whatever you do.
