Tuesday the 18th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday the 18th

Big dust storm coming today, in fact it is mostly here with highest winds in about an hour, but I cannot see the valley at all. I am prepared with a full tank of water and everything closed up. It was sunny and warm this morning, so I turned AC on, but am going to turn it off in a minute. Good news is that high wind will be done by 6 pm and next few days will be calm and warm!! Yea!

I accomplished a lot yesterday. Made two phone calls to Air Force Honors group to ask questions, picked out burial urns, dumped tanks, got backup camera monitor paired with camera, got new 30 amp plug put on, picked up some groceries, got gas, and finally, used my Dominos gift card to pick up a pizza to take home. Not the best campsite as it is hard to get into (they are square here and not level) but I managed with the help o f a lady passing by.

Got up late and have been reading and had a bagel to eat, so watching TV, and need to make another phone call about funeral.

Afternoon Judy and All, sunny and 62° H air was cold but blowing from nw and porch on back of the house faces s I spent an hour out there with Garfield. I bought a child’s time that had a rash to read screen and easy to set so I could set 30 minutes for an afternoon nap. I tender to sleep longer and don’t think that is a Power Nap but an old lady nap. The timer works well. The colcanon was delicious but corn beef was tough. Will fry coCanon potato cakes with leftovers.

Tomorrow will be warmer so more porch time before surrounding pine trees cover everything in yellow pollen. Be safe

Good afternoon. Weather seems kind of crazy everywhere. After our big flooding yesterday was gorgeous. Sunshine, no rain. Today is cloudy with rain coming back. At least the rivers and creeks are subsiding. Still working on opening the highway to central Oregon it has lots of issues, rock slides and trees.

Just been puttering in the kitchen today. Made a ziti casserole, and now have salisbury steak in the crockpot. Might have that tomorrow as I am still full from my bowl of ziti.

Judy glad you are getting things organized for your funeral process. Things are often much harder to do when you arent right there. But sounds like things are coming together for you. Shirl sorry the corned beef was tough. I am not a fan of it unless it is on a Reuben sandwich LOL the colcannon potatoes sound good tho. I like both potatoes and cabbage. In fact I like most veggies. Fruit not so much.

I saw more pictures of the adorable puppies. If anyone is interested this is her website with lots of tibbies

we had lots of snow during the night enough that the snow removal people came... have had some during the day but nothing to put more that kind that you see falling but it really doesn't land ... suppose to get more Thurs Fri and Sat of course because I am actually going to Idaho Falls oh well it will work out right now I am hoping to go to grandson's on Thurs night will miss the worse of it we hope but then our storms this winter have seemed to peter out and been nothing other than the one the couple of days shared a picture on FB
most of the stuff is off the one bedroom floor and piled on the bed will need to finish that project tomorrow... at least have the mess on the bed more organized... I think the goal is just to have it easier to walk around that room one could do that at all... too much furniture in one room... add to that a bunch of boxes some empty some with stuff in it most of that is me... I used the room for storage items... and then the empty boxes cause I knew that they would come in handy... they are...
I found a box plus a laundry basket full of old magazines and statements so spent a lot o time going through them pulled out what should be shredded found a half bag of trail mix... good till 2010 :o I didn't even sample them to see if they were good... into the garbage they went
found some peanuts yesterday..didn't find any money though
made hamburger stroganoff turned out pretty good... got some pasta for it called panellane not spelled correctly but was surprised to find it in little balls... or nests wonder why it's a wide noodle
pretty much my day
you all have a great day
