Quiet Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Quiet Wednesday

Good morning gals!

I ran out of propane last night so I guess Costco is on the list for today. That tank lasted almost 2 weeks! Not that cold at night now so the furnace doesn't come on as much.

I was dragging yesterday. :( We went to lunch at the Mexican veggie place. I didn't know what anything was that was on their menu board so I asked the gal at the counter if I could get a cheese quesadilla and she said yes. I got the side stuff with it like rice, refried beans, and a salad. Ate most of that, other than the beans. The others loved what they ordered but I won't be going back. Not my kind of food.

Didn't feel good all day so went home right away and took a nap and just laid low all day. This cold is really hanging on and sapping my energy.

I need to get a few things done around here today, no excuses. Will just take my time and not push myself. Ray left today so no big plans for awhile until Judy gets here sometime next week. So I have time to get caught up on things around here. Need to get my tax stuff together too.

Beth, when are you planning to head back to AZ?

Have a good day and stay warm for those up north and out east!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon. Had a busy morning. Went and got my hair trimmed early then picked up my grocery order from Safeway. When I got home I forgot to stop at the UPS store to return my package. So back to the UPS store I went, took Emma with me for a car ride. Then she thinks she went somewhere. Came home put Emma in and then went to Costco to get gas even tho I didnt really need it but seems it is going up each day or so. Now have a full tank. Went into Costco to get my Chicken and a few other things.........wahoo got out of there for $55, usually it is a hundred dollar bill at minimum.
Just had some chicken and veggie for lunch. It is Bunco afternoon so glad I am getting everything done today. Tomorrow I can rest ha ha ha

Good Afternoon All, The terrible winter storm wasn't as bad as they predicted at least where we live. We only had about 4" and the prediction was 8-12!! Those a little more south received more. The snow plow came by earlier as the garbage truck was picking up, we have a very narrow street and no side walks. The snow plow always is running at high speed and for a moment I was wondering if the snow plow was going to take out part of our front yard. It finally got past and hopefully it didn't plow part of our yard! It is however very cold supposed to be near zero tonight.

Barbie I'm with you on the Mexican food it's usually too spicy or just doesn't suit my taste. I also do not like Chinese food. It seems for some reason most restaurants around here are Chinese, Mexican an a lot of other ethnic food. There are several Barbecue places that I do like.

Karen you reminded me that I have several packages to take to Staples or Kohl's now that all the UPS stores around here closed. The closest one is I believe 40 miles!

A long time ago, I used to walk through my house in the dark but then two things happened. The first was that I stepped barefoot on one of those little metal toy planes and part of the propeller went into my foot. The second was when I stepped on one of those small hard dog balls, fell hard, and broke a bone in my hand.

Drove up to Ajo and picked up my battery for my computer and three envelopes from my kids with my aunts and my tax documents. Enjoyed walking around. Found out that the historical museum is not open until tomorrow through Sunday so will probably go back on Saturday.

Still beautiful and warm weather here. Just wish sites had electric. I did order a couple of those motion lights that are rechargeable but won’t get them until next week. Going to call a techie friend tomorrow to get her advice on replacing battery myself.

I love Mexican food and eat it frequently. Both at home and out. I can be picky though.

Barbie I don't have a specific date I'll be in AZ, but probably around mid-April. I do know that I'll be taking a car trip for a few weeks in June to Iowa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota visiting. Iowa I'll be going for a few days to a GTG Linda is planning near Des Moines. The other states I'll be visiting family and friends. Then I'm intending to head back to Arizona again until time to head back to South Texas sometime in the fall.

It's downright cold here right now for a couple more days. I wish I didn't have my eye appt tomorrow but actually probably better to save the nice days for doing outside things like maybe going back to walk on the beach again.

I finally gathered up some of my items in the living room.. that way if others do a visual check of the contents there won't be mine to be added into the list...
dd is coming over tomorrow night usually she doesn't get here until later after supper but tomorrow she will be here in time for supper so I really need to come up with a plan I didn't plan on going to the store tomorrow... everything is frozen I do have the cheese for the one pasta dish that we both like but the chicken is frozen and not able to get it thawed by tomorrow night with out thawing it in cold water not my favorite way to do so... I do have part of a salmon in the freezer could make a salad to go with it and break up the salmon into the salad a thought guess we will figure it out...
I bought a toaster while in Utah it is a long skinny one said it held two pieces of bread or a longer one or bagels well went to put two pieces of toast in it and it doesn't fit not happy about that wonder what size of bread they used as the test for it???
the weather app on my phone changed... hate it when that happens it's not as easy to navigate
as it used to be... do hate changes
had visitors tonight a couple of the young women and their leader stopped by brought me candy and flowers I think it was a valentine activity... it was a nice half hour
I hope we aren't ageing out of GTG's I wanted to attend the one in Iowa was giving it some serious thought but have two weddings about the same time one I think is the 21 the other possibly the 19 he is not inviting even aunts and uncles but grandma was invited so won't be missing it ... I would for sure enjoy trying the wire wrapping again... my problem is every once in awhile I get some slight tremors but more when I'm tired or stressed but I would still try
I enjoy Mexican food as well but don't like it really spicy and like some things more than other's I found out that I do like Mole there is a restaurant here that I've been want to return to that would solve my supper plans dd and I could go out... oh their is a Thia place I've wanted to go to wonder if she might stop by for a take out... hmmm worth thinking about ..
you all have a great day
