SUNDAY 2/9

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNDAY 2/9

Postby OregonLuvr » Sun Feb 09, 2025 9:31 am

Good morning. I was up early for some silly reason but feel rested so that is all that counts. Chilly morning 35 but no wind and clear (I think) so very doable. Going to be 44 today so maybe get the rest of my bush clippings picked up.

Going to get my tax stuff organized today and see what kind of damage control I will need to do. Just waiting for Edward Jones so will check and see if they are posted yet.

Time for some Sunday breakfast. Blueberry pancakes and either bacon or sausage, we shall see.

Good Morning Karen and all. Same old in weather news. Started snowing yesterday afternoon and still snowing this morning  Think there’s at least 6 inches out there. Will deal with it in awhile. Itt’s all headed off to Sharon and Shirl. The one thing about it though, it’s always bright and not dark and dreary like rain and we can be out there playing in it if we want. On sunny days it’s blinding. The winter sports folks, of which used to belong to, have been having a blast. The cash registers are busy too.

Otherwise nothing new here. Cleaned house yesterday, so that’s done for this week. Worked on my DP most of the afternoon and balanced checkbook, Karen, I got my 1099’s from Jones last Thursday, so you should be getting your stuff too. I too willbe waiting to see what the damages are.

Pat, you had asked to see what my new carpet looked like. Final remembering to post a pic. This is from my guest room. Bed is not made up, just covered with a quilt since Piper lkes to sleep up there once in awhile.

Shelia, I can see why you never know if you are coming or going. Once you have wheels m it will hopefully make life easier. Judy, hope you get the MH all set finally. By the wsy. Traverse City State Park is closed for major upgrades. You won’t know the place if you come back up in the future.

So guess I shall get moving here. That snow is waiting and I have things I want to do. I will leave you with a pic I took of Piper this morning. Was too cute to resist. I get up and she takes over the bed

Hi Karen and Sue. I'm waiting on one tax document. I'm I waited to have mail sent again from my mailing address so will do that this coming week and hopefully it'll be there. Everything else I've accessed online but so far this one isn't online.

I've done some outside work and with help from 2 of my favorite guys in the park, got the holder for my whirligig remade longer and it's outside doing it's thing. Here's a picture of my whirligig bird.

Most of the park will be watching the super bowl later so it should be pretty quiet in the park.

Just lazing around today. I've got some garlic bread baking, but then I will at least take a walk around the campground. Been doing some light organizing and reading online. Tomorrow, I am meeting an old friend in Las Vegas for a couple of hours, but will also stop at post office to see if my general delivery stuff is in. Then I have to go back to LV on Tuesday to have them check my front end and put in a new (or two) tie rods. I also should have a down throw I ordered ready for pickup. Hope it is not windy over the bridge. I am beginning to hate that bridge!!

Sue, I talked to the rangers at TCSP last summer, and they said they are putting in a new visitor center and sewer system, which badly needs to be rerouted. But they said they were not making any changes to the camping spots. I told them they really need to get rid of some trees which make it very hard to back in, plus they need to make some spots bigger. I hate that state park because it is so hard to get into with anything bigger than about 20-24' long. I am sure when that park was laid out, a lot of those trees that are right on the road were tiny or not there at all. That is why I have stayed at the County Fairgrounds most of the time--and that is where people with bigger rigs end up.

I hope I am wrong, and they fix some of the difficult campsites.
