Shirl, I did not take it wrong, and frankly, I tend to always assume that people mean things positively. I only drove 190 miles today, but I tried not to grip the darn steering wheel so hard this time. Thumbs are still sore from other drive, but not so bad today. Those mountains in southern Oregon and northern California are really not even very high, but the problem is that in the fall and winter, it rains constantly. And while it has been around 40 in the lower elevations, it can easily snow at 2,500 to 4,000' which is nothing for the Rockies. Thankfully, the tallest mountains I have driven over have nearly always been dry.
And I-5 over those mountains is really an excellent road, but I just don't like it when you add even a little bit of snow. Plus, they had several signs "suggesting" you use chains--not exactly required, but it does make you think. Like, at age 81, and being only 5' tall, I am going to pull over and somehow put chains on my motorhome????
Not likely, so if I run into snow, I will do a u-turn or take the nearest exit, no matter where it goes!!
Anyway, every once in a while I cannot sleep at night. I went to bed at midnight and lay there until 6 pm, when I decided I might as well drive as just lay there, so as soon as it got partly dark, I got up and on the road. I don't know what my problem was, but I did sleep in the day before, but I am worn out right now. I am going to eat something and go to bed.
Goodnight all!!
