Laundry done and put away, except I still have to make the bed. Yesterday I discovered I left some things in thecooler in my trunk. Stinky lol Got it emptied and cleaned out. The ac in this tt is so good that when it cycles on I need a throw over me. Then I toss it until it comes on the next time. It's crazy. Mosquitoes have been horrendous. Usually they ignore me, but not this year. Last night I discovered a show called the Anonymous and I've watched a few episodes. I don't know why I like these type of shows but the are brainless entertainment and make me laugh.

Good Afternoon to All - just checking in. I read daily, but don't have much to write about. This morning we got in a full three mile walk. Always nice in the Wetlands. Didn't see any thing but birds today. No bunnies or coyotes. Yesterday was Bill's birthday, he is now 88. Spoke to one of our sons, he is 56!!! where does time go? Didn't do anything to celebrate as it was a bad long covid day for him. Spent most of it in bed. Trying to get our thermostat to work on automatic, won't get any warmer than 79 - too cool for Bill - I think because I want the cooling part on 80. Maybe not enough degrees difference for it to compute. So guess just have to remember to turn it from AC to heat. Our AC is now working fine and it is in new location. Cheaper to move it than to repair leaking copper line.
We are talking about going somewhere. He says he feels like he is in jail. But today we just went to grocery store and pharmacy and he was ready to go back to bed.
I've been keeping up with everyone and their busy lives Makes me feel like a snail.
That's it, just wanted to say HI. I update the blog about once a week.

Good afternoon. It was a chilly morning so I didnt go outside until after lunch. Sprayed all the weeds front and back, weren't too many but like to get them before they get too big. Then hacked more of the humongous tomato plant down....sheesh not sure how it got so big but it is the biggest one I have ever had. The fancy sturdy tomato stand even fell over from the weight so I am hacking it back slowly. I have to take all the old tomatoes off and bag them each week as my trash can isnt that big. Steve will take all the trimmings but dont want the tomatoes to get all squishy just want the foliage to go. Easier and less messy to load into his truck. He will take it to the dump for me. The next few days will be pretty okay so will put more straw around my strawberries and blueberries for the winter.

I took some salmon out for dinner to thaw but I am just not in the mood for it tonight so will have it tomorrow night. I am not very hungry so will just find something else to eat. I have some Lasagna in the freezer and Texas garlic toast so that will work. Toast in the air fryer and lasagna in the micro. Easy and quick

Today was sunny and fairly calm, no rain at all, so I went for a beach walk. Not too far, but enjoyed the low tide and took some good photos. Probably update my blog tonight, if I get up the energy.

Still trying to eat my way through my freezer stuff. Got to control myself to not buy so much at one time. I am not near big stores here at the beach, but I am hardly out in the desert dozens of miles away from civilization! Might need milk in a couple of days, but think I am going to make a couple of small loaves of bread tomorrow.

And I do check your blog every few days, Carol.

I had to wash my sheets because Annie threw up in my bed. I try to make the bed and put a water proof sheet on top when I get up but she beat me to it. Made my gumbo and have 6 servings to put in the freezer if I don't eat one tomorrow. I need to make more rice because I think I have used all the rice in the freezer.

I needed to put gas in the truck so took a can to get gas for the mower too. I need to drive the truck more to make sure it's really fixed.

Carol, I wish I could walk 3 miles. I have to force myself to make my 1/2 mile. Today my foot is hurting and I'm stiff again. Sorry Bill is still having problems from covid.

Martha how do you make a dark roux?
just looked at the time I may finish my row on the afghan I looked at the time and decided to set it aside and just do it tomorrow but it's only 10:15 so could do it...
worked on the rose started the petals could do that as well... for some reason what I typically do went faster than normal seems weird makes me wonder if I forgot to do something...
lincare the company that I get my oxygen supplies through came by...told them I needed two or three tanks (the small portable ones that I use when not at home) she brought 6 says it's just easier maybe for them now I have a lot normally I keep them in the car but found out last year that they can get too cold then when I go to change the tank they have issues takes them awhile till they have warmed up to flow right I guess.... but now I'm not sure where to put them inside will have to give it a thought... they did bring me another green hose which is comforting.... and some more canola's
been working on the dish towel when I went to dd#4 I forgot the yellow so just kept doing it with plans to add the yellow at some point ended up doing a third of the blue then a third yellow then back to the blue hopefully it will look ok... when I first started this project I checked with grandson what color of blue he said dark I did dark like navy I hope he checked with his now wife before telling me dark blue....
I know when I go to Walmart or out of town that has a Walmart I stock up it's easy to do Judy and end up with more than you possibly need just cause I don't always know when I will be back and be able to get those things I get at Walmart now I have the "kid downstairs" that goes to an area where there is a Walmart so I can always give him a list... that is always a positive...
I am sorry Carol that Bill is still suffering from long covid feel so bad for him... where do you think you might go for a spell a thought would be down to Tuscan or Yuma or fiddle where is that Sharon Meekums goes to in New Mexico warmer but not so far away that if you need to return home could do so ... just a thought or perhaps where the group went to down in MX by group a few of the forum but not remembering who maybe Beth Tina just don't remember
you all have a great day

Yesterday, I actually felt pretty good after my shots, altho my arm was really sore! Still a bit sore today as well. Got a few things done yesterday. I had bought a 32" Fire smart TV but decided I wanted a 40" Roku TV instead, so I returned the first one back to Best Buy. (I ordered the larger one from WM). From there, I stopped at an indoor mall to check out the stores. Had to get some Cinnabon! :D

Today was camp. Had PT first thing and then a group meditation and stretching. Was tired after that but had a couple easier group sessions after, about dealing with stress, and the importance of having close connections with other people and finding meaningful activities to get involved with to give us a sense of purpose. I have been having balance issues for awhile, especially when I am walking. So they are working on that with me. I think it is because of the hearing loss in my left ear.

I am having a hard time adjusting the temps in my fridge. The top shelf is at or below freezing and the bottom shelf is at 38*. So I raise the temp a notch and then it is too warm at the bottom. I think I will rearrange the stuff in there to where the temps are best for those items. I have the fan in there but I think the problem is the shelves are all solid instead of the wire ones so the air can't circulate very well, (who's idea was that?? ) It is one of those smaller fridges about 5 ft tall. The freezer seems to do OK maybe because there are no shelves in there.

Sheila, where do you get the cinnamon croissant bread? That sounds really good! I wonder if cinnamon/raisin bread would be good for french toast too?

I need to go to my storage unit to find my pots and pans and a few other things I need here, like my toaster. My roommate is out of town until late Sunday so the cats and I have the place to ourselves for awhile. I will get things done around here easier without worrying about bothering her while she works. She works from home on the Tucson Dog magazine.

I was tired when I got home today so I took a nap with the cats for a couple hours. Romeow is getting more affectionate all the time. I love it! I need to clip their claws this week too. I found a new game to play on-line. It is called "Find the cats"! It is fun and addictive! Each time I find and click on a cat, it meows! I saw a game that has pigs and when you click on one, it farts! :o

Still haven't gotten a refund for the phone I never received from Amazon. I have called twice about it and was assured the last time that the lady was putting the refund thru as we spoke. That was almost a week ago! So I need to call once again...

Carol, sorry Bill is still having bad days from the Covid. Hopefully, there are more good days than bad now. I am sure it is frustrating tho.

Time for a bedtime snack...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Sheila, you make a dark roux by cooking flour and oil in a skillet. That's the hard way because you have to stir it all the time to keep it from burning. I cheat, my roux comes in a jar from the store. Here we can buy just the dark flour or dark flour in oil. I use the dry and keep it in the refrigerator to keep it from tasting old.
