And no one's here. Lol

I'm in the process of finalizing ordering an RV carport. That's taken lots of time, mainly online, but I think I've found a good price so time to lock it in. I mentioned it to a neighbor and next thing I knew I've been doing his leg work, also. He wanted to just give me his credit card but I stopped that quickly. I gave them his nave and info and they can send him his own paperwork.

Mosquitoes are still bad, really bad. Temps are livable with mid 80's for highs. I'd like nights to cool off more but need to be careful about what I wish for lol

Ran into town to dump my tanks since this campground does not have a dump site. WHile I was there, i picked up a half-gallon on milk and made calls to schedule the cat scan of my chest and the pulmonary function tests. Took over an hour waiting on hold. Sat scan was easy--late October, but pulmonary function not available until Nov 14. Was planning to be in California by then, but will have to backtrack and rearrange my schedule to get test done. Luckily, I had some extra days on my way to my son's house, so it will still be OK.

Yesterday was cold and heavy rain all day, so was glad to see a little sun and rain stopping around mid-morning here so I was able to unhook and dump tanks without standing in the rain. Some people in tents or popups left this morning--at least the ones in the non-hookup sites, so no power for heat at all. I cannot imagine spending the entire day inside a tent in such cold wet weather.

I almost finished the story of my childhood I have written out for my grandkids. Need to finish the last couple of pages, and then will take it to printers. It has turned out to be 38 pages long so I do not want to make 5 copies with my printer. I will have a nice cover on it and include an electronic copy on a flash drive for each kid. I might even make 7 copies so I have one for each of my sons.

Next project is to download the disk containing my dad's home movies from 1948-about 1970, and then write a sort of script that describes who all those people are!! It starts out with a high school graduation party with my mother's huge family and my cousins who were ages 2 and up to teens. One neat thing my dad did was line everyone up by age (I would have been about 5) and focused on each cousin for a few seconds. There are also movies of my grandparents and aunts and uncles at adult parties, plus Christmas parties for 20 years. I gave copies to a lot of my cousins a long time ago, but the problem is that very few of my cousins younger than me know who is who because they were too young to remember. Now that I have some free time, it will be a good project.

Didn't do much. Took Frosty to get his stitches out, went to the post office and got gas at Walmart. I left home before I ate breakfast and was too late for the fast food breakfasts. I didn't want what the deli had today so just came home and ate leftovers.

I don't know what I'll do tomorrow. The deli will have chicken and sausage gumbo so might have to go get some. I have eaten all the gumbo I had in the freezer and the freezer is too full to make a batch of gumbo. It's not gumbo weather yet and it doesn't look like we will have any cold weather this month.

you accomplished more than I did Martha. Turned off my alarm instead of snoozing it...so woke up later making everything I did later... then nephew stopped in for a moment so sorta scolded him for not being by more often (the kid downstairs does what he would normally do) he said he had been busy I said too busy for your grandma? finally finished my scriptures (because I listened to a pod cast on the subject) while I did that worked on my dish towel that I am making... then decided that I was going to listen to the tutorial on making the rose for the hat before I went into make supper... just getting to the end when there was a knock on the door a neighbor on the next street over stopped by she wasn't able to go to our party for mom her husband is in a wheelchair and they had something going on for people in wheelchairs he doesn't get out a lot so she didn't want to deprive him of that time... so we visited a bit she finished watching the movie on Hallmark doesn't get to see them because her husband doesn't enjoy them and she can't get them on the tv in the bedroom... by that time supper was way late... so instead of french toast it was canned soup and toast I made hamburger soup the other day made it into pot pie with a puff pastry top don't think mom really cared for it so sent it with nephew... I know she doesn't really like left over's but does eat them when she doesn't eat it too well the first time I don't want to put it in front of her again... so french toast tomorrow
oh and I also texted two daughters' made one her day... was glad to help... oh and talked with one daughter I am trying to make it sound like I did something
Maybe Weds I will look for the shrimp that is in the freezer and make up the grits see what mom thinks of them I think I mostly have cooked shrimp though
Tell me again Martha the difference between the two dishes the one you mentioned and the one I made last year the name of which I can't recall at the moment had rice a couple meats as well as shrimp that is all I can recall at the moment
one of the reels I saw yesterday was making a cherry taco.... they took the small "street" taco shells put it in melted butter then dusted with graham cracker crumbs and put them on a muffin tin the back side of it so that they make the shape of a taco bake for 10-12 min... don't recall the amounts but a mixture of cream cheese powdered sugar vanilla and milk put in the formed shell and then top with cherry pie filling looked yummy
Judy will you just prolong your stay in Oregon or go down to CA then back up for the test in Nov. you might think about just flying back up and stay in a motel for a couple of days be less tiring...
actually saw a movie tonight that I don't recall seeing a Christmas movie on mysteries was good and good to see one that I don't recall a class mate of mine mentioned a movie last night on FB that I didn't see (I don't think I'd read the books by then) but it was Mrs Polifax spy guess it was filmed her in Jackson the actress was familiar but don't recall the name Helen something then they did another of the books this one was Jessica Lansbury which if I was to suggest a actress to play Mrs Polifax that is who it would be...
Hoping Beth it starts cooling off for you a bit... do like the way your fridge worked out... does the car port go over all of the trailer or just the car?
you all have a great day

Sheila, I think the other thing I made was Shrimp Scampi. Not a lot difference in the two. The Shrimp Scampi I mix with angel hair pasta. The one I made Sunday had bacon and cream in it.

Inky is sitting with me and trying to make me get out of his chair. He must weigh 20 pounds and is like having a big dog sit in you lap. He is just a little rotten.

Good late evening gals!

Spent the last hour or so getting caught up on a week's worth of posts.

Martha, I like bread pudding and it sounds even better with Baileys! I have a bottle of Salted Caramel Baileys that is super good and would taste wonderful on bread pudding!

Beth, glad you finally got your new fridge. Now to get the rest of your projects done. I have my own little fridge here, about half the size of a regular one, which is fine with me. But I noticed that stuff on the top shelf was freezing but not on the bottom shelf so I turned it up a couple notches. I ordered an RV fridge fan and a pair of fridge thermometers. I checked the temps when I got those and there was about a 5 degrees difference from top shelf to bottom so I will use the fan to hopefully even out the temp in there.

As far as beets go, my grandma tried in vain to get my brother and I to eat beets! We both refused! She would even put them in jell-o to get us to eat them but, nope! Not gonna happen!

Friday, it really cooled off here and was very windy. Been warming up some over the weekend but temps in the mornings are cool. Had to grab my sweater this morning when I headed out. Not complaining tho! Up in the foothills where I am, I will probably see snow a few times this winter. I am about 850 ft higher than the rest of Tucson so a little cooler here.

I have been busy the past week! While I was on-line last Monday looking for doctors, I came across an ad for a very unique type of therapy program here in Tucson. It is called Recovia and it integrates mental health therapy, physical therapy, holistic therapy, along with a physician for assessments. They do one-on-one sessions, group therapy, and also yoga, meditation, and tai chi sessions. I went last Tuesday to do an orientation for 3 hours to see if it was something that would be helpful for me. I signed up after the 3 hours. My health insurance covers the whole program! So I go 3 times per week, 4 hours per day, for 6 weeks. It is quite intensive but after just one week, I am feeling so much better mentally. I do one hour of counseling, one hour of PT, one hour group session of meditation/yoga/tai chi, and one hour group session of learning about other types of things to help improve our outlook on life, set goals, do affirmations, different types of meditation, etc. Each class is a little different each day. I am really enjoying it. I call it "therapy day camp" . They fit the program to your specific needs/issues. I will be going Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8-12 each week. I check in with the Dr there once a week to see how I am doing mentally and physically. I have been working on my "belly" breathing and stretching exercises at home. They want me to walk for a half hour each day, and eat 2 decent meals each day with protein to get my strength back up. They also will include addiction therapy if needed but of course that isn't an issue with me.

I also really like the new church I found. So along with the body and mind therapy, I am also getting the 'spirit' therapy as well! :D Both places have me working on positive affirmations this week!

Sunday, after church, I went to David and Julies house to watch the Vikings play and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory! :( And then Julie made a really good turkey breast with au gratin potatoes. Then Marie Calendar's chocolate silk pie for dessert! :o :D

Stopped at WM after "camp" today to get my flu and Covid shots. Both in one arm so I only have one sore arm to deal with! That arm is very sore tonight and I am sure I will not be feeling too peppy tomorrow from the Covid shot. I still have some unpacking and organizing to do around here but that can wait if I am not feeling up to it. I have plenty of reading to do and catching up with reading e-mails if I feel like doing that.

Cats are adjusting better now and have both gone out to say hi to Heather (cautiously). Romeow is getting pretty brave now! I think Heather is the first person who has ever seen him up close in real life!

I did also find a psychiatrist just down the road from me who can keep me going on my ADHD meds as well. Still looking for a PCP.

Well, it is time for bed. Am tired tonight.
