Good morning Everybody
Barbie, thanks for the update on Lyn’s latest move.
I went to buy Ban deodorant and it’s under lock and key at the store!!! Apparently people are stealing deodorant…. The Rolling Steel Tent ( a blog I read) said that socks were under lock and key at a Walmart he visited. What’s going on…is it some sort of game on social media Have you experienced this where you live? Enjoy today. Peggy

I am seeing that here too at the WM's. Altho it depends on the area. The one nearest me has a lot of stuff locked up now but it is a lower income area so probably higher shoplifting. There is one across town in a much better area and I don't see many locked cabinets in there. The problem I have is finding someone to unlock them when I need something. Then if/when I do, they have an attitude like I am bothering them.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I can verify that. I went to buy a 10-Pack of socks at my local Walmart. They were under lock and key, it took a while for someone to come to unlock the socks, and then they wanted me to immediately check out (I had other shopping to do!) with the socks. Add to that, the person doing the unlocking had very poor English skills, so I really couldn't understand what she was talking about.

I live in a somewhat low-income area, and I am finding that trying to shop for just about anything in my local Walmart is becoming a MAJOR pain. There is just now so many individual items under lock and key that it takes about forever to get any shopping done. I have just about given up going into my local Walmart.

I will still do shipping form Walmart, and - maybe - pickup (with pickup the people bringing you your stuff act annoyed, and seem to expect a tip!) but setting foot in the store is becoming problematic.

Hey, Karen, where are you? I'm missing your posts. Hope you are ok.

Socks seems to be a strange thing that needs to be locked up. A lot of things at the Walmart here are behind the plastic doors that have an alarm. Like any one at Walmart is going to come see what you are doing. If you want to get something that is locked up they want to bring it to a register and then you have to figure out where it's at when you want to check out. They recently locked up the dog and cat medicine and flea treatments. Try to find someone in that department with a key. I have a couple of things on my list that I need to get at Walmart but just don't feel like going there. I think I'll see if Tractor Supply has what I want.

I went to town, mostly to get a lunch and go to the post office. It had rained going into town and the temperature dropped 10 degrees. It's not quite as hot as yesterday. It's 96.

Peggy, I'll have to look up the blog you read. There are a few blogs I read every night.

I agree with you, Martha. But the 10-pack of socks was a fast $14.00.

Still makes a person wonder - are socks some kind of hot item these days? Do thieves shoplift ten-packs to resell on Ebay or something?

Seems strange.
