Morning All, a lovely cool morning. The next week will be in the 90’s so will be indoors for me. Going to give raised bed a good soak and fill container self water tanks this morning while it’s still cool. Will try to think of some light summer meals. Irmi had the first soft crab of the season, always a treat. Not much happening in my corner of the world. Stay cool

Good Morning, Shirl. Beautiful here right now so about to get a walk in with Ty. Will be over 100 this afternoon. I'm grateful for the cooler mornings the desert brings here.

Plumber/handyman due to come by today. I don't know if he'll do anything beyond checking the scope of what I'd like done and giving an estimate, but at least it's in motion. Tomorrow dermatologist, Tuesday audiologist. I know I'm past due for new/upgraded hearing aids, but my wallet definitely isn't ready. But it's past time. I'll be seeing a new (to me) audiologist and hope I like him and the options and prices involved.

Afternoon Shirl and Beth. Cloudy here with rain moving in. Followed by hot weather this week. Good that we get some rain ahead of that. With Sandy soil here, it dries out pretty quick in the hot sun.

Nothing much going on today. Went to Mass this morning, had water and donut after (not a coffee drinker), then trip to Menards and Lowes, checking on flower pots. Need to transplant a begonia. Will pick one up tomorrow along with some fresh soil, some solar lights and a few other things.

Finishe my porch project and adjacent landscaping on the one side. Posted in my thread in General Talk. Will do other side later. Still need to do some painting on porch area and step, but not in the hot weather. Tine for a break away from projects for awhile anyway.

Think I will work in that DP for awhile, then maybe go out for a a birthday dinner later.

Good afternoon ladies! Bet thank you for your help getting me back here. There isn't much new in our area. Our temps are in the low to mid 90s every day. We visited a friend in GA last week for a few days. he lost is wife several months ago and we ave been friends forever. We took lots of food, including crab cakes and crab dip. Next week, we will be exploring another area of GA just north of the FL state line. It looks like a fun place to explore. Lots of folks have left for the summer and it is very quiet. We have the keys to several of the casitas to keep an eye on them for friends. I also have extra plants I'm taking care of. At least it gives me something to do.

It is a hot and humid day here but so far not quite as hot as predicted. I'm staying inside and reading as I always have a good book on my iphone. I haven't read an actual hard copy book in years.

Thought some of you might be interested in a machine DH bought on Amazon called a legXercise Pro he said he noticed he was walking better after the first couple of days using it. They have several similar items and many available at lower prices. I've tried it and can really feel the movement in my legs. He is in a lot of pain but will he go to the doctor about it noooo

Yesterday I was thinking about a friend I haven't heard from since before Covid and last night she called me. It's surprising how often that happens.

Anita good to hear you are home but sorry to hear about your daughter. Sue I can't imagine not drinking coffee especially in the morning. I think I've had it from the time I could hold a cup. I can remember my Dad calling my little brother to get out of bed in the mornings. His response was always 'Is my coffee on the table?" Hi Irmi good to hear from you!

BJ, it's funny you said that about coffee. I cannot stand the smell or taste of coffee. I usually have ice water or another cold drink in the mornings. But Steve drinks coffee from the time he gets up until noontime or after. I don't care for any warm drinks.

Anita, I hope your daughter will be okay. That is so sad for her to go through that.

Irmi, glad to have you back. You were missed. Sue and Irmi, as to coffee, yuck lol I do like some hot drinks, but nothing with caffeine, hot or cold. And my go to is cold water.

I wish we'd made an approximate time for this plumber guy to come. It's after 1:30 and I'm just waiting. I want to run to town just for a minute but haven't. I could add what I need to get to my list of things to do while I'm out tomorrow, but that's already a long list and I know I'll forget something lol

My AC is set at 80 which I'm good with. But 80 feels much hotter when Ty decides to be a lap dog like he is right now.

Was just walking around my loop of the campground I am in to get some exercise and did a double-take when I saw a group of about 10 women sitting around a campfire! Have not seen that in Ohio before. Anyway, I had to stop and chat for a few minutes. They were all older women traveling solo, though as a group, they tend to stick close to Ohio. Only one is full time, but they get together every month. Nice to see a group of women here!!

Had to get home to watch Tony Awards on TV, but I will go back to tomorrow to chat.

Hot today and getting even hotter tomorrow!! Hope everyone can stay cool.

I got home this afternoon about 3:00. We had good weather all week but I ran into rain several times on the way home. I hate to take I-10 thru Baton Rouge but I took it going and coming home. It was smooth sailing. I hate to be stopped on the bridge with the 18-wheelers. Judy, the group of women you saw sounds like the groups I belong to. Each group has a campout almost every month so I can pick and choose where I want to go. This trip was the annual kayaking trip and we had about 40 women. Not all did the kayak trip. I don't trust my air conditioner to stay on for the dog so I won't leave the campground during the day. My shoulder hurts too much to do an all day kayak trip anyway. There is a shallow creek in the campground so we put our chairs in the creek and visit. Saturday night we had chili dogs and some sides and dessert. It wasn't raining when I got home so put the motorhome up and started mowing. I got part of the yard mowed and it started raining. It didn't rain much so later I was able to finish.

I love my coffee in the morning but seldom drink any in the afternoon. I don't sleep so don't need coffee in the afternoon.

BJ, I have been looking at the leg exercising machines on TV and wondering if they would do any good. My foot is still hurting a lot sometimes. I need to make an appointment but I'm going to change insurance companies July 1. Someone told me that they thought a burning pain is nerve pain. I found some roll on Bio Freeze in the camper and it helped a little.

Anita, hope the surgery helps your daughter and no cancer.

They are watching something in the gulf and we are suppose to have rain all week. I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday and Luna has an appointment with the vet on Wednesday.

it seems like it's been forever since I've been on.... when in reality it was just a few days...
I either got in late or we were doing stuff or kids went to bed so I went to my room or last night I was just so tired that all I could do was read what I've missed and wish Lyn happy birthday although it appears we were off on the date a bit...
it's been a really busy long weekend took mom to Dubois on Weds so brother could pick her up.. then went through Yellowstone rather than go down to Jackson then down the canyon then then up into Idaho it's about 3 hours to their house from Jackson and Jackson is about 1.5 hours from Dubois did I save any time?? Nope in fact think it took longer but it was something different and I just now remember I did post about that part of my trip....
Friday I did go to Walmart and spend a lot of money I may have even reported on that... who knows
but I do know that I've not been on since our ATV drive... I was so tired last night and after we got cleaned up we went out to supper since we had had a late lunch just had nacho's wasn't overly happy with them though... not enough cheese and the meat wasn't spread out well just not a redo
I totally enjoyed the ride it was rough though but then what does one expect on a ATV ride??? my knees are still complaining a lot to be honest... don't think I'll forget to take an Aleve tonight I may even take two and I've not done that although I think one of my dd does... on occasion.
we got up early had a bk burrito joined a huge group and the group broke off into smaller groups... we had about 6 atv's in our group I think we were the last group to leave where we were at is the sand dunes outside of St Anthony Idaho something like 14,000 acres of sand some 400 ft high... anyway we head out and end up by one of the dunes.... one the ones in the front came back and told us that the sand had blown over the trail... so they thought and we all agreed that we go back to another trail and see if you can go on it and link up with the one we were on ... it petered out so the next thought was to take off in the general direction of where the trail would reappear sounded like a good idea so we took off through over and around stuff sometimes feeling totally lost... finally we ended up back on the trail that petered out so we went back to where we turned around trying to figure out what to do the leaders suggested that we go once again across the section from where we originally had turned around in... did that and I bet it wasn't 10 mins later we were past the sand and on the trail had only taken us oh bet hour or more to get to that spot... we then went up to what is called Last Chance it's either the last town in IP or the first depending upon the direction you are traveling in... after what we had been on it wasn't bad muddy and dd did seem to enjoy that (coming back more than going) and stronger wind coming back we got back about 2 hours later than anticipated...
regardless of the knee's today I am glad I went
I need to go to my room mom is tired and wants to sleep
but first Anita hoping for the best for your daughter
you all have a great day
