Shakin' Wednesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Shakin' Wednesday!

Postby BarbaraRose » Wed Jun 12, 2024 11:44 am

I got woken up at 4:25 this morning with my bed shaking by an earthquake! :o It wasn't bad and only lasted a couple seconds but did wake me up. At first I didn't know if it was real or if I dreamed it but I checked the earthquake site on-line and it showed up about 5 minutes later that a 3.2 happened here at that time. Doesn't sound like much but it was just a couple miles from here on the San Andreas fault right behind where I live. I haven't felt one for quite a while here. Glad the ones I have felt have all been mild.

I have PT in a couple hours and then will stop at the library to drop off and pick up a book. Then will get some more done around here. It is slow going but that is OK. As long as something is getting done.

I got another e-mail yesterday from management that listed the areas of the park that will be affected by the power outages. I am not on the list! So that is good. I did get the cat screen pen yesterday but will keep it. It is only a matter of time before I will need to use it. I will find a place to store it inside the house. Those cloth bags you can buy at Walmart will literally disintegrate into powder from the heat if left outside. The material that the zipper was sown on must have been similar since it did the same thing.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning. It is kind of a chilly morning starting out but will warm up to 79 today. No super hot days predicted for at least 10 days. I will take it.
Not moving around too fast this morning. I did go out and fertilize my roses and later will do my berries.
Emma has her vet appt this afternoon so dont want to start any projects. Ribs for dinner tonight. Going to head out to wash my car shortly it is very dusty and acquired some bird doo doo along the way. Get the road grime off and do the windows inside and out. The inside is fine, just shake the floor mats and I am good to go.
Going to change my bed linen and get that in the wash alsong with a couple of towels, then I will be all caught up on laundry, at least for awhile.
Barbie glad it wasnt too bad and woke you gently ha ha I really dont miss those earthquakes when I lived in southern California growing up. I specifically remember watching the waves in our pool. I thought it was very cool, my parents not so much.

At my grandson's house will need to remember to find another plugin for the concentrator by my room... should have looked earlier... their house is long so I have to move it more often... and everyone has gone to bed...
met my brother in a town about 1.5 hours away then back over the pass and into Yellowstone really only stopped once was tired so thought I would catch a few moments but couldn't relax so decided I should check my tank before going on... almost totally out and about a 1000 feet higher than at mom's house may be why I wasn't so alert... was much better the rest of the trip... had a slow down stopping spot just wasn't going anywhere anytime fast and the cars coming towards us was pretty sporadic couldn't decide if it was caused my animal or road work finally started up and went to signs for road work but did see some bison nonchalantly grazing off the side of the road... guess they did their" lets stand in the middle of the street and see what the human's will do" bit
think I will go into Rexburg tomorrow for a bit then out to dd's she kinda hinted at me going through some of my stuff and see what I want to do with it... might need to do that if not tomorrow then on Friday we need to be to Idaho Falls by 6:30 but dd wants to leave by 4:00 so we can buy some closed toed shoes... guess that is preferred when on the quad
it's good to be else where to not have to plan a meal ect
it's been a beautiful day today to look at the different mountains and how sharp they look just really stood out
you all have a great day
