Just checking in. Ty and I went on an early, enjoyable walk this morning before the heat set in. Otherwise, I'm relaxing and watching some TV. Hulu is acting up and the closed captioning isn't syncing. After googling about that and trying several things, vi thought I had it fixed the other day and was able to watch the show I wanted. Last night, out of sync again, so I tried on my phone and it synced fine. How I fixed it last time was removing it from this TV completely then reinstall. I sure don't want to do that everyday lol. But I also don't want to watch all the shows I watch on Hulu on my little phone. Oh well. Gotta love progress and gotta hate it at the same time. I do watch too much TV!!!

Good afternoon. Busy with household chores this morning and then a run to Safeway to pick up my groceries. Our Block party is Sunday, the BBQ ribs, Chicken in the Traeger, and drinks supplied. We are all just bringing a side. Have to decide what to bring. A dessert is suggested as they have quite a few salads already, and only a couple of desserts so that is what I will make. Will have to scour my recipes and see what I have. I like easy so there is that.
Got a letter from the company that owns us, we lost our manager, too bad he seemed ok to me. Some liked him some didn't who knows. So once again, like the 4th or 5th time since I moved here, we will get a new manager. The letter said they were also purchasing another park here in Roseburg. So we are now back to the manager in Sublimity (town outside Salem) if we have any issues LOL
Went out and finished up my fertilizing. Just have the strawberries and blueberries to do now as I had to order the berry fertilizer. Lowe's and Home Depot only had 1 kind and it wasnt what I was looking for so good old Amazon to the rescue.
It is cloudy today but supposed to warm up to 80, we shall see. 80's coming our way this week with 90 on Friday (ugh) I like 70's and low 80's but guess I dont get a vote.
Making a new casserole dish for dinner and freezing if it is good I will share the recipe. I usually tweak some of the recipes anyway as sometimes they are kind of scotch on the seasonings. I dont want to overdo it but I like seasonings. AND easy.
Pat glad to see you are on the mend. Albeit a wee bit slower LOL Anita is on her way home, hope she had a great time. Getting very toasty for our desert dwellers this week, stay cool.

Not much going on here. I'm under a severe weather warning again. Right now everything is North of I-10 but guess it's headed my way. Right now it's windy. I had to go pull some weeds because they were setting off the camera in the back yard. Luna wouldn't get off the porch until I walked out to the mail box. The grass is long and the yard is wet so she doesn't like it. What a sissy. lol She has a favorite stick on the carport. She brought it to me to throw. She grabbed it and went to the front door and wanted in with it.
I think my TV's are too old to stream shows on. My son tried to do something and said the TV is too old. The TV in the living room has a white streak that comes and goes. It's the one I had to get a sound bar for because I couldn't understand the sound. It's probably on it's last leg. I probably watch too much TV anyway. When I was in the waiting room at the surgery center they had the "View" on. I don't know how anyone can watch all the arguing.
I placed an Amazon order the other day so now they are shopping for me again. They keep sending me emails of things I will like. Not so much.

Pat, sorry to read about your start to the year! Beth, if you have a smart tv you can cast shows from your phone to the tv.
I’m on the train from Chicago to Kansas City. Sandi, I had time in Chicago but didn’t leave the station. I get turned around too easily! Will get to my aunt’s tomorrow. People watching in city train stations is interesting. Quite the variety. Seat mates is a real crap shoot! Monica’s oral surgeon appointment is tomorrow.

Hi ladies~~~
Pat, as others said, so sorry your year hasn't started out as the best. Fingers crossed, it can only get better.
Carol those pillows are lovely. Very nice work.
Good news in the home front for me after a about a month long wait, postponed by other builder emergencies and trying to find discontinued materials, work on the house started today!!! First up is residing the entire house. There are a few cracks and warped boards on the cement panels, guys said they are pretty fragile, which is why they no longer use them. Then paint, fix the leaky window by way of the roof, because the water proof material under layment is bunched up under the shingles and finally, install a GFCI that didn't get installed at the factory in the driveway side.
Also getting a shed, postponed because the house repairs were scheduled for 2 weeks ago (approx), delivery tomorrow. The house guys started the siding where the shed goes.
Unfortunately, I probably am not hitting the road until after the 4th. Doubt I'll get any reservation this close to the holiday. I'll start looking next week after the house is done and after a quick run this weekend to Tucson for camper warranty. Hopefully this time, it will be the correct closet door.
Take care ladies! Hopefully tornadoes and storm will end and we can all have a good summer.

Finally got my new step motor installed yesterday, so no more having to come in through the driver's door! Also had a major fight with my printer, and after over two hours got one stuck document deleted, but still could not print. I cannot handle spending at least an hour every time I need to print something so I am going to look for another one sometime this week. And because of my printer fight, I was up at 1 am finishing making cookies for my grandkids. They are the kind you frost, so this morning, I made the frosting and took the whole mess to their house for them to frost!!
Also stopped at UPS store and got about 120 pages printed! These are all documents about her investments and several forms and instructions about how to fill in the forms so I, as executor of the will, could get these completed and sent in so they will deposit all the money from her investments in the new estate account. Looking at the forms, it is going to take me most of tomorrow to fill them in, plus maybe part of another day.
Son's wife was out with friends, so he took us and three teens out for dinner. He and I also went out to look for a couple of really large pots to put by his front porch. Wife will have to approve what we chose. So, now I am home and have sorted through the printed docs, so not doing anything else tonight!!!

Judy, I feel your pain with your printer. The other day I turned mine on every side and upside down. I was ready to throw it in the trash. I finally found where a paper was stuck. I still think they should give you the printers because of how much the ink costs.
I hope you get paid for all the estate work you are doing. If you had to pay a lawyer's office to do all that it would cost a lot. I finally told my lawyer to quit sending me $75 letters telling me about a meeting I was just at. I remember what went on.
I'm glad you got your step fixed. I went to get out the drivers door one time and didn't realize my levelers had raised the motorhome and I almost fell.

Anita, I'm sure I should learn how to do that. When I looked quickly it wanted to use wifi and wouldn't take my hotspot I'll look again another day if it keeps doing this. I should go see if it fits it on my TV in the RV. But I don't think it's the TV, I think it's the Roku Device. But then you'd think it would act up on all stations.
Cheryl, great news that things are getting taken care of. You've got to be happy that they are moving in the right direction, finally. And I understand not wanting to head out now until after the 4th. I rarely make reservations, but still usually plan for that holiday.
Martha and Judy, all the problems printers caused me over the years is why I no longer have one. The few times I have to pay to get something printed over the few years since I trashed my last one wouldn't add up to a small part of new ink I was constantly having to purchase.
I just saw that we should hit 100+ the next three days. I don't think it'll make much difference over the mid/upper 90's, but the overnight temps are also going up, showing only a low of 70 for those days. I'll be running the AC more. But I only paid $32 for electric last month, so I won't complain about that. Just early for these temps here.

the plants are happy... when I went on my trip I brought back some of the coffee in the motel rooms not for me to drink but to see if the plants are better for it... the first time I put the grounds in the plant water that was a big oops
some of the plants got grounds as well... so hadn't tried it again then I got to thinking this morning (hopefully you can visualize it and just have a hoot... I kept 1/2 gal pitchers on the counter to pour water in from whatever source like mom's water bottle.... so today I put a strainer in one a coffee filter (they are great for straining oil through) put the grounds in it and heated up some water in the microwave and poured it over the top of the grounds... vola smelled like coffee so did it again I'm sure it was very weak coffee but the plants didn't complain... took a picture of it going to send it to my youngest or maybe I'll put it on our group text...
I can just hear them now mom's really lost it!!!
did get the have to almost done the poor pansy's still need to be planted
made a sorta pot pie... filling with grands biscuits on top for the topping only took them out of the oven too quickly hopefully they are done after the second time in the oven well see when I reheat them...
tomorrow I need to go to the store almost out of chocolate milk not sure what we will have for supper guess will decide while at the store taco's are sorta sounding good but that may happen on Thurs perhaps hot dogs would taste good... one day after I get the plants for the containers and planted I need to work on the freezer and fridge
Cheryl isn't it too hot to work on the siding ??? but so glad that they are getting it done
Judy great that the steps work that just sounds like a lot of work to do those documents
everyone take care in whatever the weather brings
you all have a good day

My grandmother loved to watch Arthur Godfrey on TV, so she drank a lot of Lipton tea. (Since you ladies are older, you will remember the connection.). She always broke open her tea bags and put the tea leaves in her potted plants.
Oh, and I have to tell you that my grandmother loved outdoor gardening. Except her idea of gardening was to sit in a lawn chair and direct her daughters and granddaughters where to plant each plant and how to water them!!! I remember when she moved to A new house her sons built for her, all of us females had to dig up and replant every one of her many perennials while she sat in her lawn chair and directed the project!!! She was lucky to have a large family (5 sons and 5 daughters) and used all of us well!!! She was quite the character!
Just remembered. Before she had adult daughters and old enough granddaughters, one of my cousins told me my grandmother directed my grandfather to plant things! Obviously she always had babies and small kids to take care of, so I guess she had an excuse. My grandfather, by the way, was not a farmer. He was a foreman at the very early Ford factory, so he really did not know a lot about gardening.

Beth, I didn’t think about hotspot but now I’m curious. Regarding printers - I gave away my ink jet years ago and have lived without color printing. I have a HP laser jet which I have had for years and have replaced the toner cartridge one time. With all the genealogy printing, I use it a lot. Printer is so old the cartridge was hard to find a few years ago.

Yes it's extremely hot. Luckily the siding is being started on the awning side, so there is shade. When that side is done, they'll work on the side that is fully shade until about 1 pm. They quit yesterday around 2. I don't envy them, but not my fault is was a bit cooler weeks ago when repairs were postponed.
Shed is in process today. Park gave approval to start at 7. Shed guy will be done around 10. Of course a neighbor complained of noise because his wife was sleeping. The shed guy handled it himself. Guess this county, not sure if it's all of AZ, days they can start at 5:30. Neighbor said why? Cuz of the heat? Well, duh! There's always one.

Anita I did the same thing about 3 years ago. I bought the Laser printer and havent looked back. I dont need a color printer either. If I do I can go to Staples or somewhere like that to get it printed. The cartridges arent that expensive either. I have changed mine twice. I got a 2 pack very reasonable.
Ink jet printers are a rip off for sure in the ink department. They dry out so fast and mine wouldnt let me change just one cartridge, oh heck no color and black or it wouldnt work. The benefit of the laser printer is it just does not ever dry out.
