Rabbits, rabbits! Time to check in, everyone! 25 days until Santa comes!

It's after midnight, I fell asleep in recliner, so here I am, up at 01 am!

It's 41°, so, at least 3° warmer than this hour yesterday. Chances of rain, but past few days only one brief, early shower. We sure hope December will be better, rain wise!
My eye Dr appointment could have been more productive yesterday. She said my vision was about same -20/20 and 20/30, and no damage from the bad dry eye I've been having from BP RX for several months now. She gave me several samples to try of various OTC eye drops. I think my next step, will be to seek a dry eye specialist in the area, if there is one. There certainly are plenty doing videos on you tube! Tears are comprised of several components which are the liquid part and a oily part to seal in the moisture. A competent dry eye specialist should be able to tell you which components low or missing and address that part. This Dr didn't even talk about why my eyes are dry!i like her, she is thorough in keeping watch over my corneas and retinas, but the tear part seems beyond her. Anyhow, I'll keep trying all the type drops I have . Driving home with afternoon sun to front right, with dilated eyes was fun (not) but I was careful and made it, inspite Of the idiots (one major intersection, I was 3rd car back waiting for green light. Light turned green but cars turning left across in front of us , whose light was RED, just kept coming. Not one, not two, but 8 cars crossed in front of us while our light was green and theirs red! Where is RPD (police) when you need them!
Tomorrow/this morning- I have no appointments, so I'm calling it a day off, except my tax guy gave me an assignment to complete. I'll do that, then tackle projects. Weather, again, should be nice- cool, but dry. I'll walk, as usual too.

Good Morning Velda and all who follow. Glad you are having a little rain. It’s cloudy here and 19°. Quite a drop from yesterday’s 42 and sunshine etween had. Supposed to be partly cloudy and in upper 30’s today. Pretty much the scenerio for the next week with May e some light snow thrown in a day or two, but no big deal. After the first big winter lake effect storm this season ended on Tuesday afternoon, we had 17 inches officially, but only about 1 on the ground where I am. Most of it on Subday was very fine and wet, so didn’t accumulate. But I was out with the blower twice. Yesterday felt like a spring day and a lot of snow melted. I ran the blower over the drive to take off the inch or so from night before and also blew out neighbors drive from the storm. Was a clean up type morning out there.

Since it was so nice, I got my Christmas decorations on and in front of my garage. So that’s done. Hated to come in cause it was so nice out. No dog walk yesterday. They were out all day, so guess Thry had enough. Road was a mushy mess anyway. It’s plowed, but he didn’t do the greatest job. Couple of pics of my latest displays.




So today I’m goingto take a ride to town and pick up couple of things. Want some parchment paper to cover my Diamond Painting canvas and take the cellophane one off. Those canvases have adhesive in them to make the drills stick and it needs to be kept covered to keep dust, lint or whatever mght get on it and you don’t want to get stuck in it either. So we just remove a bit at a time as we go along. I like Diamond Painting. Good way to pass the time. Am looking at future purchases and might get one of my made into one.

Good morning Everyone. I’m checking in from beautiful Kino Bay. Another American woman who has decided to live here permanently and I are taking private Spanish lessons. I can almost get the words out. The maestro has me focusing on pronunciation. To do that he has me write out the word and break into syllables. Now if my brain would only remember.

Sue, thank you for all the winter scenes. The snow is beautiful. I like winter, but not the bitter cold and icy roads.

Good morning gals!

I was falling asleep watching golf last night but managed to stay awake until just after midnight to say "rabbits" and then fell asleep for good. Just woke up before 7am so just about got my 7 hours in which is my norm.

I worked yesterday and luckily, it wasn't very busy. I had a little soreness in my lower back still but I did fine while cutting. Did a little shopping after work at WM for a couple things I couldn't find at WinCo, and then went home. I still get feeling kind of crappy in the late afternoons and evenings and very tired. I thought my appointment with the surgeon was next Tuesday but it isn't until December 12th!

This morning I feel much better. I don't really feel any soreness in my back at all so I am very happy about that! I have some things around here to get caught up on today and tomorrow. Finish decorating my little tree, cleaning house, etc. Need to clean the fish tank. This time of year, the sun shines right on the tank in the mornings and the tank is getting really green from that. Then there are the cat claws to trim... My agent wants to meet me later today do discuss our next plan. I need to reprint the For Sale sign out front because it has gotten damaged from the wind, dust and rain we have had. Need to add frosting my hair to the list too. It is so dark and lifeless without the bleach in it which has all been cut out recently.
Also, I will be watching golf shortly. Tiger Woods is hosting a tournament in the Bahamas and is also playing in it. First time playing since last spring when he had more surgery on his ankle. I watched the replay last night of yesterdays round (loving that Golf Channel now!! ). He is still an amazing golfer with amazing focus, determination and resilience! The golf course they are playing on is beautiful too! Fun to watch!

Velda, I had dry eye syndrome when I was younger but it was triggered mostly by cigarette smoke (back then I hung out in smoky bars). It was extremely painful when I woke up in the morning and first opened my eyes! I got an ointment from my dr to put in at night which helped a lot. I am sure what you have is way different or more complicated than what I had tho. I hope you can find a good resolution for it because I know it isn't fun to deal with!

It got down to 42* overnight so I had the heat on. Just turned that off with the sun coming up and warming up now. It was cloudy here yesterday but the sun is out this morning. It will get to 71* later today.

Velda, hope you get your eye problem addressed. Dry eye is no fun - been there.

As for drivers! Geez. The small-ish town where I live is almost always gridlocked. I'm not sure why - maybe the traffic lights are not programmed correctly or maybe the layout of my town was never intended to have the population it now has - and growing!!

Here's an example: I live about 2 miles from my local Winco grocery store (I have clocked it on my odometer). It can take 15 or 20 minutes to drive home from the store, depending upon the time of day. And I often encounter situations you describe with people making left turns against red lights.

We are getting to much rain! Most this time went north of us, but the little we got just have more mud puddles and we can't walk in my favorite places to walk. It was starting to dry out enough and we got one partial walk the other day, but today it's quite bad again. So around and around on the park roads we go.

You guys explained quite well why I like being in less populated areas.

Not much going on here today. Rainy off and on. Will be the same for the next few days, Storm coming in tonight they say with increased winds. Glad I do not have anywhere I have to go. I can live with the rain but dang I hate the wind.
Need to cover my outside faucets but will wait til the rain this week passes as it isnt supposed to be cold anyway. Spent the morning gathering my trash for the garbage pick up. Threw a load of laundry in and that about sums up my morning ha ha
Now time to grab a bite of lunch.

Sue, the decorations are awesome as always! Velda, a little confused by your comment to Shirl. Maybe you meant Sheila? Sorry about your eye troubles. I don't know that I see a lot of bad drivers here, but the ones I do see are scary! Whether Leavenworth or Wenatchee, there's always traffic and stoplights.

We've had a bit more snow with more expected. 29 degrees at noon. I picked Monica up yesterday and we went for a hot buttered rum - best I have ever had and will no longer want the store-bought mix! The school dinner was very bland pasta but great bread, salad and dessert plus bingo was fun - we didn't win.

Going to finish the dreaded tree lights today and move on!

Love your decorations, Sue! And glad you are feeling better, Barbie, but even if your visit is not for 12 days, you can still call the doctor if you have any concerns.

I also have dry eyes, but almost always in the night in bed. I will wake up to burning eyes, and only eyedrps work. My optometrist have always recommended the small tubes of tears that do not have preservatives in them. The box says they are one use only, but my optometrist said I can use them over a 24 hour period, or two nights. I keep them next to my bed, and I also keep some in my purse and the little compartments next to the driver's seat in my motorhome.

Got a rental car for a week, so went out today to Snook Haven to take the boat tour--really enjoyed it. I got there early and enjoyed sitting and watching the banjo and accordion players get set up and practice Christmas songs. They were really good. I did not eat there, but I have eaten there a couple of times in the past. If you have never been to this really unique place east of Venice, FL, make sure you go sometime. The restaurant is packed on weekends because the food, including barbecue and alligator bites is excellent. They have some indoor dining and a lot of outdoor dining on picnic tables. Outdoor is better for hearing the entertainment. It is along the wild Myakka River and used to be a fishing camp, way back when. They are open for lunch and dinner, though they may close early in hot weather if the mosquitos get too bad! https://www.snookhaven.com/about

Lyn, it is so good seeing you posting! Judy, I would like to explore the area you are in. It sounds interesting.

I woke up to 58 degrees this morning and we topped off at 85 with sunshine. We were able to sit in our pergola for a couple hours to read and relax.

I said Rabbits this morning and hope it helps. Since Soos introduced us to rabbits, I sure miss her.

Steve cooked a pizza on his Egg for dinner and it was awesome. We put our few Christmas decorations out yesterday. Some people here go all out. I'm thinking...where do they put everything when Christmas is over? But I'm happy for them and enjoy driving around and seeing them.

Irmi, I also wonder where people store all their big Christmas decorations especially when they have smaller RV's.

Got quite a bit done today, altho most of it wasn't on my list, but still needed to be done.

I met with my real estate agent this afternoon and we are going to lower the price some again. I printed out a new sign for out front and it looks much better. He is going to talk to the head of the HOA and tell them the 9 month rule is working against us with selling. I told him not to expect much. It took a year of meetings and voting, etc to change the rules to the 9 month rule, so it won't be changed overnight even if they agree with him.

The stray cats (pretty much Shadow, Romeow's buddy) have been spraying on the deck again. The carpet out ther e smells so bad and I have tried every product I can find to make it smell better but nothing works. The carpet is also in pretty bad shape so it doesn't make a very good impression when people come up to the door. I can't afford to do anything major but would like to rip up the smelly, dirty, rotten carpet at least. There is plywood underneath it. It would need to be sanded to get the glue off. I am thinking if I could get some help with all that, I could put a wood stain sealer on it. The carpet in the porch is just as bad minus the urine smell, so should do that too. I am limited on physical ability and finances, so I need to call the maintenance guys next week and see what they say about it.

My couch is sagging really bad. I put all sorts of things under the cushions to try and add support to it but nothing works and it keeps sagging. I think that is definitely not helping my back any. I found a Black Friday deal at WM on a memory foam futon. It is the same one I had at my place in Vista. It is actually very comfortable and has adjustable arms and back. It was half price (and not too expensive to begin with) so I ordered one and it should be here tomorrow. Don't want to spend too much on something that won't be coming with me, but I need to take care of my back until then. The love seat won't go thru the slider from the living room to the porch because it is too big so the door needs to come off. Dave did that for me when I first moved in here. So he will help me get it out next week. The slider from the porch to the deck is wider and it does fit thru there, so just have to remove one door.

Need to finish getting my tree decorated tonight. Took what few ornaments I had on it off so I can string the new lights on it and then put those and the new decorations on it and the little garland, and it should look really nice. It is mostly white decorations with some brown and white furry wild animals (squirrels, owls, etc). So very natural looking. Will post a photo when I am done.

Tomorrow is our BBQ at the clubhouse at noon so will go get my burger for $5. Got an email today saying next Tuesday is our last putters day until January. We started a week later than usual, I played once and missed the next 2 weeks and now just one more week to play. We usually just take the week of Christmas off, so am not sure why 4 weeks off now. Oh well, it is what it is.

first off I did say RABBITS one minute after midnight
set alarm hit snooze when it went off at least twice... then I guess I missed it cause all the sudden I wake up and it's shortly after 12 so for the heck of it I said RABBITS again... so perhaps it will help... had a text from niece asking if I wanted to go out to lunch that she would be their about 12 not sure if I saw this earlier during one of the snoozes or what must have been because after I woke up she text me saying that she would be here about 12:30 I replied good cause I just got up... we went to a Mexican place as she said it was a hole in the wall attached almost to a Mexican grocery store that I had no idea was in town... was pretty surprised... the food was really good even though they didn't have chili releno so tried the Mole really dark mole I was impressed with it but haven't had much to compared it to... I really had the since of it being a authentic place other than Harry Potter movie on the tv it was a nice break other than concern for mom because of my over sleeping she didn't get her thyroid pill on time gave it too her told her that I would bring something back to her... because of where I was and it was starting to snow thought I'd do some grocery shopping before I went home... didn't get home till 4 or close to it... we left about 1 the RX wasn't ready and of course it takes awhile when you forget the list to resurrect it in your mind but only forgot 1 item... not too bad...
I don't think we got much snow but it's suppose to really snow tomorrow will believe it when I see it...

I was told after my cataract surgery that I have dry eye and to use this eye drops as well as to take some vitamin to help with eye health not the dry eye I need to remember more often to use the drops... when my eyes get blurry I usually remember but don't always respond to the reminder...
perhaps tomorrow I will get something done on my shrug got piles of loose yarn not sure what I will do to correct it (the piles) I really don't want them to tangle

My agent brought that up yesterday until I pointed out on the RCB listing sheets that, unfortunately, pretty much every home for sale here is listed with the guy I listed with last year. He is happy to just sit by the pool or play golf while the golf course homes$$$ sell themselves. He could care less about the other homes for sale here.
