Good morning Zeee! So good to see you here in your kitchen. Yes, we've sure appreaciated Soos and all the others who have been posting the "wake up call" in your absence.
Basketball is over and we're knee deep into softball season. Emmy hit a double and eventually scored a run in Friday's game. The girls are still losing, though. Another game tonight,... can we hope? there are only 2 seniors on the team,.. a couple juniors and the majority of the team is 9th and 10th graders. So,.. watch out world, give these gals another year or two and they will be a force to reckon with!
Take care Zeee,.... we're all thinking of you. Liz,... safe traveling on your way "North to Alaska!".... Everyone else,.. have a great day! I'm out the door to work!

Good morning Zeee and everybodeee!
Thanks so much for pouring that first cup of coffee...Carol and I needed that after our first night in the camper. Not too much sleep...it will get better. Carol informs me that Bandit EATS (loudly) during the night, crunch, crunch, crunch. Too bad she can't just take out her hearing aids like I do. And I woke up to find Maggie with her head in the litter box, yuck!
We're at Carol's dd's house in KY, and will be meandering northwest today. We had beautiful weather yesterday....a rainstorm passed during the night...weathermap looks like we'll be ok today.

GOOD MORNING, ZEE, AND ALL!!
So great to see your kitchen full of YOU this morning! Thanks for the wrap-up, the coffee, and, of course, all the goodies! Hope your doc appointments all go well for you. Keep us posted as best you can.
Although it was in the 20s when I got up the first time about two hours ago, it's now up to a whopping 31! After my entry in here yesterday morning, it began to snow outside! Nothing stuck around, but it was snowing quite hard on and off all day.
Molly can barely walk this morning---have no idea what's up with her. Yesterday I thought she's injured herself trying to jump up onto my very tall bed in the trailer...she fell backwards, and struggled to hold on prior to the fall. It's possible she's pulled something, or maybe something worse. She ate breakfast ok, but whines in pain when she tries to get up and move. Even going up the front porch steps is almost impossible for her now. Yesterday I took her for a slow walk to the pond, thinking it might help her. WRONG! Today she is even worse and more sore and scared to move. Now that it's 8:00, I am going to make an appointment for her to see the doc today. For a dog who is usually so active, this scares me.
I'll check in after the Direct TV guy leaves this morning and I get to the vet with Molly. Hope you all have a good day.

First off....I really hope Molly is going to be okay. Hopefully see just has a minor injury that will easily heal over time.
Well it is an early rainy, wet morning again. I really really wish the rain would have held off for about 12-16 more hours. I can return at 6pm tonight all it wants.
Today we are headed off with a bunch of homeschool families.....on the Amtrak train to Seattle. Where we will walk to the aquarium (about 1 mile) and walk other places...see why I want the rain to stop...til 6pm. The hard part is since we have to places quickly that I have to have Kodie in her adaptive stroller, that is fine..it just means when it is raining we have to bring a fleece blanket and an extra rain coat to cover her legs. I keep telling myself one of these days I am going to make a blanket that is fleece on one side and nylon water proof type fabric on the other side. That is cut narrow and made to fit her when she is in the stroller. Kinda like those lap blankets that are made for people in wheel chairs. As that is kinda what her stroller is. We tease people that it her "stroller" cost more then most people first cars.
Well I better get off and finish packing lunches and dinners.

We've been up and about early this am, cleaning all the dust, etc. from inside and outside and have to go get the car washed. Had our first night at Betty's and her regular Happy Hour. It was breezy enough to sit outside under the pergola. The place is full, surprised considering it's getting into the 90's, but, well, it is Betty's.
One of my sister's friends happen to be here this week, whom we met in Key Largo, a few years ago, and they are heading to Alaska. This is their 2nd trip and after driving around' they are doing the ferry back toward Vancouver to see all the ports on the inside passage.
Acadianmom (Martha) lives here in Abbeyville, so PM'd her and hopefully we can GTG. Have a great day. carold

Morning all. Good to see you in the kitchen, Zeee -and I hope that all bodes well with the doctors.
Soos, you take care of Molly and let us know as soon as you get the Vet report - don't want her hurting!
Yep, I attended the sales seminar - all prepared to say no - which so far I've said. But I'm considering it - something for 4 years I've never considered. Scary - but if I were to do this, this isn't a bad place to have a home park - have always liked Durango. So -------- I'm thinking. Dangerous thing that - using these brain cells. Just thought of a couple other questions I need to ask - so will write them down.
Oh, and they made my job harder by loving Peaches. We came back and got her to come on the sales pitch with me - even in the cabins here - and into the office/store. Anyone who lets me bring Peaches everywhere is going to get kudos. Dog lovers here.
Okies, going to eat a light lunch then go do a hike. There's an easy one and an strenuous one (4 hours minimum round trip takes me to the top of one of the mountains). Think I'll do the strenuous one - if it's not gotten too hot - otherwise will save it for tomorrow. And I do know and I can always not go the full distance. Just will remember water!
Have a great day all,

Beth, I'm excited for you! Keep us posted on the process. Yep, gotta love people who are dog lovers.
Is the elevation there high? I remember being in Frisco/Breckenridge and it was exhausting trying to just take a walk or climb stairs.

I didn't buy - although I made so many suggestions for changes to their program, that they offered me a deal I almost couldn't refuse. Catch the "almost". The park was purchased as an old KOA - and while the new owners (2 years now) have done a ton of work to upgrade, it still needs a ton more. But they are doing it - and are great people. It's the great people part that almost hooked me! I've always like the Durango area - but thought about this long and hard - cuz if I were to do something, I'd probably rather do something seasonal somewhere - if I ever pick a place to do that. Gonna be looking when I'm in Mexico
Elevation here? Not sure - not as high as some places Sparkle and I were the past month, higher than others. I can get used to any elevation - hopefully Echo and Kelly can - they are way up there with Sparkle this summer.

Thanks for the reply, Beth. I'm still looking at all options and am interested in what others might try. I'm still trying to figure out how to have a small home base somewhere that I really like, with little to no lawn upkeep, but don't want condo living either. Thinking perhaps a park model somewhere with homeowners fees that will provide that part. Then I could take off in an RV whenever I felt like it. I'll get this dream figured out one of these days!
