Wednesday Morning

Morning all. Cloudy, 53° here. Pesky system hanging around.. East winds for past 3 days and showery yesterday. Moving out by tomorrow and warming up again. Long range winter forecast came out yesterday for December-March calls for warmer than normal temps and below normal precipitation. Sounds like last winter. Doesn’t mean there won’t be periods of normal to below normal temps and precipitation. My take is it will be what it’s going to be. Won’t make the snow bunnies happy and we do need snowfall to replenish the water tables and lakes.
Barbie, sorry you got caught in the scams going around. I get emails like that all the time and send them to the trash. Nothing ever follows after that. Be vigilant ladies. AARP devoted almost an entire AARP Bulletin to scams and frauds, how to spot and deal with them. No government entity, bank, credit union or legitimate business will ever ask for personal information via emails. Do not respond to them. If you aren’t sure, call them personally and do not use the numbers they put in those emails. They can be linked to the scammers and sound official. Stop and think. USPS for example. Why would they say they are having trouble with your mail when you know it’s been coming through just fine. You ordered something and they say there’s a problem. They don’t need your personal info, they got that when you ordered. Call their customer service and talk with them to see if there’s a problem. You get a fraud alert from the bank about a credit card. Call the number on the card and talk to them directly to see if there’s indeed a fraud attempt. Another thing to watch for is wording. Some you can tell cause they don’t have a grasp of the English language. But sometimes the shapes of letters can be different in a sentence. Look this up online and you can learn more about it. Be safe. When in doubt, throw it out. I just went through my emails ad folders yesterday and cleaned them out. All empty. Not that I keep them anyway unless it’s something important, I either make a copy of it or archive it or a bit. Not good to let the inbox fill up as it can stop important emails from coming through and takes up unnecessary space on your computer. I check mine every morning and delete the junk. That’s mostly what I get anyway.
Off to town for me this morning. Need couple things from store and swing by farmers market. Did my cleaning yesterday and got patterns traced out on the piece of Lynwood. Might cut them out this afternoon. So, time to head for the shower. Have a nice day all.
