I almost continued the replying on Saturdays post but decided it's a new day I was starting a new one. Unfortunately I don't really have anything new to say. I'll be heading into work in awhile. Have to walk Ty first. Just ate some lunch and discovered food has found the missing tooth. I'll be brushing more, and using my pick

Still have my fingers crossed, Barbie. And I'm looking forward to seeing Sheila and Linda for a brunch/lunch before work on Tuesday.

Have been doing some housekeeping chores this morning since I am having company tomorrow decided I better vacuum and dust the guest room. Emma thinks it is her room as she has her bed on the bed and she can look out the window. So wanted to make sure no accumulation of dog hair occured since I last vacuumed and dusted. I have a little hand vacuum that I ran over the quilt on the bed for any stray hairs LOL she has a dog so it is all good.
Going to make chicken with mushroom sauce for dinner tomorrow night so remembered to take the chicken out. I almost thought chicken marsala but I dont have any wine. Didnt think Baileys would work ha ha I still need to go to the store to get a couple of things for the week. I just ordered it online and will pick up later today. I have to go get the mail anyway.
Was chilly this morning and has not warmed up all that much with a nice steady rainwhich we very badly need, like the rest of the country. Enjoying the break from the warmer weather. Just hope it remembers to give us a sunny day in between rain shower days LOL might as well put my order in now LOL
Off to make my mocha, fold clothes and put away, then continue watching Netflix.

Luckily, not a long drive today, so I slept in and took my time getting on the way. However, when I got here to campground near Columbus, OH, I really started to feel effects from my COVID shot. It has been a full year since I had my last booster, so maybe that is the cause of my arm being so sore and my feeling some of the symptoms you get when you are starting to get the flu--achy muscles, achy neck and arms, and a headache. I had a fun, long phone conversation with an old friend, then came in and fixed myself a hamburger. Stared at it a while and decided to fix something else--just could not eat it. So, scrambled myself a couple of eggs, toasted some bread, and then put some of my jam on it. Tasted much better than the hamburger would have.

Jam tastes wonderful, and it is a pretty bright red. It is sweet, but also a bit tangy, which is exactly what I wanted. Also, it gelled nicely. Next time, I am going to skip the extra half box of Certo and use a little less sugar since I think it could be a little softer. A candy thermometer, which I used to have, would have helped me determine when it was cooked enough.

No driving needed tomorrow, which is a good thing since I need a day to get past this achy feeling. My California son is a high school teacher and deals with teenagers all day, so he always gets his shots as soon as he can. I checked with him, and he also had a sore arm and is flu-type achy yesterday, but he got his shot the day before I did, and said he is feeling much better today.

Keeping fingers crossed on your property sale, Barbie.

some of us remember Jenny and the issues that happened with her as her dd read a rant that she wrote about her dd SO resulting in them not speaking for a very long time although they seem to be in a much better place at that time I decided not to give names of my kids grandkids ect....I think for the most part we are all pretty low keyed that way but it is easy to let go of some information that we don't realize we have done so ... but it was good information Anne something to remember when we talk ...
looking forward to seeing Beth and Linda on Tuesday Tomorrow will be meeting a friend in a town near here for lunch then stop at the grocery store to buy chips... why you ask??? they have chips here that you can only get here and they love them ... I on the other hand don't tasted like cold grease to me.... but sister in law had them out I didn't know that they were the chips tasted pretty good... I'd heard they changed the formula cut back on the old grease I guess as I didn't taste it... hmm I might get me a bag as well  then stopping at the care center to see another friend
Barbie at this time no I don't plan on going to Q I truly wish that I was but haven't figured out how to take care of mom hopefully you will get good news about your house tomorrow.. it's a good thing that they will let you stay for a month then the hard part finding a RV you really want
Karen have fun with your friend

Good evening.

Haven't heard anything yet...anxiously waiting!

I finished painting over the wallpaper on one side of the kitchen today. Looks much better. The other side will have to stay showing the wallpaper but it is pretty subtle. The new owners can paint that if they want. Still need to figure out how to get the little bit of white paint off the fake wood without removing the fake wood color.

Then I decided to cut the piece of plexiglass I got last fall into 3 pieces for the overhead florescent light area in the kitchen. I took down the old plexiglass pieces that had turned yellow/orange over the years and became brittle. I had bought a special tool to cut it with, but of course, I can't find that now, so I went to HD to get another one. They were out of them so will have to check the HD near work tomorrow. Tuesday, I will get the new dishwasher.

Next I need to go thru a few bins I have left in the porch that have photos, VHS tapes, etc. I want to get the VHS tapes put on DVDs. Will have to find a place that does that. Then need to clean out the shed. Most of that is stuff I need to toss out or find a new home for. Shouldn't take too long. Just has been too hot to do it this summer. Oh, and the area on the house where the old HVAC unit was removed from, needs to be painted but I keep forgetting since I rarely go around to that side of the house. That shouldn't take very long either. Just need to remember to do it! It is now on my list!

tonight I saw Sophie looking at something by the litter box in the front door entryway (the litter box room). I went to check it out and discovered a bunch of ants. Luckily, I found two Terro Ant Traps under the sink so I put those in that area. One inside the door behind the litter box, and one outside the door. I also put a line of corn starch powder in front of the entryway in the kitchen so they don't come into the kitchen from there. Just in case tho, I put the cat food dish in a larger bowl with water in it (like a moat) to keep any ants from getting to their food. Terro works really well and fast, so they should be gone in a day or so. There is a slight gap under the front door so I am sure that is where they are coming in from.

I stopped for an order of spaghetti yesterday after work, from my favorite Italian cafe. I split it into 3 large servings (they give you a lot in one order!!). It is SO good! Just before I hit the road, I think I will get a couple orders of spaghetti to divide up and freeze for later meals.

Speaking of shots, I need to get my flu shot, and also the new Covid shot. I will take an extra day or two off from work after that one since I also get the achy muscles, tired, headache, etc for a day or so afterward. I should also get my shingles shots. Need to make sure my insurance covers that first.

Sheila, it was the other couple (that wanted the washer/dryer) that said I could stay here for a month for free. Not sure what this couple will be willing to do, altho they did say they don't plan to come back until January. Hoping this won't fall thru...

Have a good night!
