Out visiting grandkids and picked up several prescriptions on my way. Brought frosted cookies for everyone. Son is supposed to be here in half an hour so hoping he will look at awning bracket and take photo of it so I can find a replacement.
Late for todays posting to open but I figured someone needed to do it.

Way past morning so I'll wish everyone good afternoon. I'm having a late afternoon coffee and a really good store bought cookie. I found them at Home Goods but they ran out so just found them on Amazon so I'm happy. They are Pierre Biscuiterie French Butter Cookies and come in various flavors. I like the Sea Salt Carmel. I'm also trying to figure out why I'm smelling our fireplace that we have never used in the 25 years we have lived here. Over the years if it gets really humid I would smell it but it is only 83 and humidity is 63% which for here is fairly low. Just another thing to put on my hummm what shall I do list.
Anita our first Subaru had the same issue with the battery not being strong enough.I intended to mention it to you when you first had problems but must have slipped my mind. DH picked a Rav4 this time and while I like it better, the computer screen that you have to use to turn the radio on and off and any apps you might need doesn't work and even Toyota reps couldn't fix it. At least he can now usually get the radio to play so he is trying to be content. I had read there were issues but didn't realize they weren't fixable.
My dryer buzzer is calling so I must go.

Good afternoon, had a nice drive home from Medford. Got there Tuesday and Marjorie (the friend I stay with) and I mainly visited that afternoon. I showed her how YoutubeTV worked and she caught on fairly quickly. Decided she was cutting the cord. We had to go get another ROKU stick for her bedroom. 3 stores later we found one. She fixed a rib dinner and invited a previous neighbor of mine over to join us. We had a very good time. Wednesday we signed up for YouTubeTV and disconnected the Spectrum cable boxes. YouTubeTV had a free trial for 21 days. We signed up and then played with it and she said lets go take these Spectrum boxes back so we did. So she wont pay anything for 21 days. And now it is just the internet and YTTV. She wants the local stations and YTTV is very easy to navigate so she went for it. Came home and hooked up her bedroom tv so she is all set now and is very happy that she can operate it. After all she is 91 and pretty dang sharp. The fence builders were there yesterday and back again today so she feels like she won the lottery after 11 months of waiting. Went out to breakfast this morning as we were meeting my friend Lisa who brought her car in for repair. We had a nice breakfast, got our fishing trip all dialed in for next week. Then had to go back to Marjories and pick up Emma and by that time Lisa's car was ready. Dropped her off and then I headed home. And incidentally next week we are in a weather heat issue..... Sunday thru Thursday. Glad we will be at the coast !!!! Suppsed to be starting Sunday 102, 109, 108,106 here at home. According to weather.com BUT they are frequently wrong. Hope so. Coast will be 74,79, 76, 76 I will be heading there Tuesday so wont escape the 109 on Monday. I might not come back ha ha Hope this is our only really hot spell this summer.

Where is everyone today??
after measuring the cap of the hat I'm making decided it wasn't going to big enough couldn't figure out why then decided that possibly it was the type of yarn the one I made for my great granddaughter seems to be a bit heavier than the yarn I was using for her cousin... so used a larger hook it measures what the pattern said it should but don't know if it's as big as the one already made we will hope that it will be large enough... but back to where I was at when I pulled it all out....
so that was my big accomplishment for the day I could have worked on the scarf but part of me isn't sure what to do I really don't want to have knots on both sides of the scarf and not enough yarn to go all the way so then I would have to have a knot and it would be on the opposite side... so thinking I might set it aside concentrate on the hat... think I'm going to try the pattern I found for a slouchy beanie with not a chunky weight yarn... I have some really pretty colored yarn and think that pattern might look really good in it... so tempted to see how it will work my granddaughter likes the color tempted to make it for her I would just need to cut back on rows and length I think for someone who doesn't know what she is doing she is assuming a lot of how to change it to fit the different sizes...
hope all is well with all
have a great day

I looked early and there was no post and I had to get Ty walked and never got back before, all of a sudden, it was time to walk to again and head to work. First time back. Nothing really to say but I'm not sure if I posted yesterday so wanted to come in. Had things to respond to but can't think of them and need to get to sleep because I'm back to work in the morning tomorrow.

It's late - just watched football game.
Thanks for the Subaru comments - still ticks me off they didn't get their act together. Karen, quite a productive visit you had! Our temps are headed back up, too.
Monica cut my hair and we went to farmers market in Leavenworth - wasn't as big as we had been led to believe. Spent some time on her deck afterward watching the river. After being gone the past 3 mornings, I had some catching up to do today. I need to start thinking about what I need to do for the little trip coming up Tuesday for Hells Canyon Wednesday. I hope they got whatever permit they need - will call tomorrow.
My brother saw an associate of his doctor and has a better grasp of how bad his right lung is - cancer, pneumonia, etc. He put in a call to the cancer center. Hope they don't make him wait to long for an appointment. He is an emotional guy which is hard for me, but he was in good spirits. Got into a discussion about my paying for Sling parts and he told me it's in his garage, so I have no say. Possession is 9/10 of the law (or however it goes). I reminded him my name is on the title. He laughed and said, 'Yep, there is that'.
