Morning All, a cloudy 67°. Nothing special planned for today. Do need to place a Food Lion and Bj pick up order. So will just watch giant trucks roll by with huge wall panels that are mount by a ginormous crane. Wonder how they attach to steel girders. irmi, $13 for one crab. Guess I will eat more fish. Sheila, can you pack up mom and spend the holiday with fanily, even if you have to stay in a motel. No other news and will not even start on Bird Woman who lives above me. Be safe

Mornin' Shirl and all that follow~~~
Made it to St George Utah yesterday. This morning is laundry then who knows. Not even sure I'll go back to any of the Big 5 NPs since I've seen them before. Trying to see other things this time, but I do like Bryce and the hoodoos, so that's a maybe.

Keeping an eye on flooding AGAIN! For when I head north.
Getting to the PNW seems to be a pain.

Nice day today, then back to the 90s for the remainder of my stay here.

Have a good day ladies.

Headed to 95° here today! Summer weather has arrived. Will continue on to do list unless I get call from Chrysler that part for door lock is in and tech has time. First they took a while to get part. Then it was wrong part ( it was for right door not left), then new part was defective, then new tech said, Hey that's not the issue, it's the actuator! If he is right and if one more trip and wait room sit fixes it, it will be 10 years of complaining and just in 2023, will have taken 4 trips to get it done, not to mention all the times Mel took it in and they failed to find the issue! Thank goodness for that expensive long warranty we bought! it's covered except the deductible and my hours waiting!
Good news is, we may have finally found the right BP RX- my morning BP is very close to normal limit finally! Hooray! Only side effect from this one is slight nausea if I don't eat with it and good ole fashion hot flash like warmth (just in time for summer )! But that's way more tolerable than the previous several the Dr has tried me on!
Have a good day. I have watercolor stamp class coming up shortly!

Good morning!

Cheryl, You are right by Snow Canyon State Park, just outside of St George. Have you been there? One of our former members here, was just there last week and her photos are gorgeous! Sounds like a very interesting and unique park. Check it out if you haven't been there before. It is now on my bucket list for sure!

Slept good last night. I am gonna get off here soon before I get distracted with a ton of YouTube videos, ADHD stories, etc. Once I get into all that, the whole day is shot!

Gonna be 103* today so not much gonna happen outside! Plenty to do inside tho.

As for calling the places I applied to, everything is done on-line and there are no phone numbers listed on ads. The cannabis companies are not even listed anywhere (I have checked Google) so they don't want people calling them. It isn't like the "olden" days where you could call Human Resources and talk to someone about the position. I used to do that because I knew it would show interest and they would remember me better. Things are different now.

Romeow has had his morning zoomies and is now sleeping somewhere.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Was up early 5:30 so that was totally acceptable. My paint guy was here for about an hour touching up places and finishing my shed. He needs more paint and also had another job across the street to replace some decking. I had a shower and breakfast then headed to Home Depot for more potting soil for my other raised bed. They carry the potting soil I like so had to go 2 places. Then to Lowes, they are almost right next door to each other and Lowes is right at the entrance to my park so not a long trip ha ha. Picked up my deck stain and applicator but it is too hot on that side now to start this project. Think I will start it early tomorrow morning. Shouldn't take too long despite having the 64ft back deck. The applicator has a long pole handle so hopefully wont break my back.

Got a couple bags unloaded from my car and have 3 to go LOL those things are heavy but I have a neat little Gorilla wagon I am putting them in to pull them over to the raised bed area I am so glad I have energy this year as I am getting alot done. One step at a time tho. I still only work in the mornings, then have lunch and I am done for the day other than laundry.

Barbie, you beat me with the recommendation of Snow Canyon SP. I went there last year with friends for a day visit and truly enjoyed it. So Cheryl, 2 recommendations for you on that one.

Talking about food pickups, I got my Walmart pickup done. That took most of the day done t it's so far away. But lots I can't get here or the prices are too high, so it was worth it. I took a round about way there and back, so had different views. The ride home was gorgeous, so I'm glad I added another 10 miles and did that. Stopped in Fort Davis to fill 3 of my water jugs. Dang if Ty didn't sneak out of the car. I guess he really had to pee. Then he knew he'd been bad so was avoiding me. Someone reached down to pet him and another person was going in the store. Oops, Ty elected to run in the store. When I followed him everyone laughed because he laid down in defeat. I was apologizing profusely and they all just kept laughing. Put him back in the car, got my water and we came on home. All's put away, short walk and am being a bum the rest of the day.

CC is having his zoomies in the living room except he is chasing another cat. Being his usual butt. I tried to get him to go outside but when he felt how hot it is he turned around.

This morning I went to a small town about 40 miles West of here to close a bank account. Harold had opened it in 2006 but I seldom go that way so wasn't convenient. I wanted to eat lunch at the seafood restaurant in town but the lunch crowd was there so picked up a lunch at the deli.

Shirl, I'm so glad I don't have close neighbors. When I was looking at apartments and condos I felt like so many people would be on top of me. One of my neighbors is about two football fields away and the others are one football field away. I'll probably have to move to Lafayette if I ever can't drive. My ex-DIL wanted to know if I had heard of door dash delivery. I'm pretty sure no one delivers 10 miles out of town and I wouldn't want to pay the fee if they did.

I need to mix some weed killer and spray the places I can't mow. I managed to pull some of the dead weeds out of the pond so I have places to fish. I caught two really big perch the other day and threw them back. I probably need to take some of the fish out but really hate to clean fish. I only sprayed half of the pond so need to spray the other side when it cools off.

Martha, if you get an apartment get the top floor. I looked at one but got dizzy looking off the balcony and it was only the third floor. Lol. I bet Walmart will deliver groceries to your house. Think they go everywhere so you won’t starve. Be nice to the driver and he might stop and pick lunch at the deli. :D

I need to take my camera with me at all times. Saw something weird today as I went out for a short walk to take out trash and walk around campground. This is a really nice, brand-new place, but more expensive than I like. However, all campgrounds north of here are not yet open or full. I am headed past Leadville and to Heaton Bay SP on Dillon Lake on Friday.

OK, here is what I saw, and I am still not sure what it was. Young woman had a backpack on. Strapped to the back was what first looked like a stuffed cat. Visualize straps coming down the back of the backback, and a cat hanging horizontally from the straps. One was around the cat's chest and the other around her/his stomach, and the head and paws hanging limply down to each side. As she walked about 100' past me, I swear it looked like a real cat, but who would carry a cat that way?????? It reminded me the way a five-year-old child would carry a cat. Cat was not struggling, however. Strange.

Cool but a beautiful sunny day today.

I'm hoping that it was a very realistic looking toy cat Judy... that does seem really strange...
Shir mom doesn't sleep well laying down nor sitting up she sleeps in her recliner when we stayed in a motel for my brother's funeral she was miserable so just to make it so I am able to do something that I want to do I won't ask that of her ..last year brother and his wife and disabled daughter stayed here and so I went over the hill and stayed in a motel with some of my kids that came up for memorial day weekend... we always go to the cemetery on Sunday decorate the graves and then have a picnic... I was hoping to spend Saturday with the kids that come up but am not sure how many will be able to do so my youngest is living in WA so pretty far to come for a weekend... my eldest dd is a teacher and the last day is Friday but that means she has a really short window of fixing the room so that the heavy duty cleaning can be down so she is thinking of coming up Sat morning leaving Sunday or latest Monday but she also found out she has a teaching assignment for Sunday which she could get a substitute but her next time is on her birthday in July and she already had plans for then... so not sure she wants to be gone... my son was coming up with her so not sure of either one of their plans... which leave my two dd's that live in Idaho one working as much as possible on their house that they are building and the other well haven't talked with her yet so I guess I am just whining to hear myself whine ... you know that smallest violin symbol???
still talked myself into not going and seeing if I can find a couple of pots, see if my canulas are at the post office... and a few other things I want now I need to add milk ect to the list.. so tomorrow for sure!!! like can't get out of it now for sure
did see a hummer but only the one time hopefully they will come more often
it was really windy for awhile
I have lost my measuring tape the sewing kind... can't find it anywhere... so aggravating want to see if the scarf is long enough and did find a hat to make for great gd it is so cute now I've never tried to make one except one cap a few years ago so sat and watched a pod cast while trying to figure out a treble and a half double now to figure out what they call a magic circle. I need to check out you tube and see what I can find...
I am down to 4 rows on the Swedish Weave and the weaving will be done...
an sewer's out there??? can you tell me the name of a the part of a machine the part that holds the spool of thread in horizontal place it's usually round and flat
you all have a great day

Judy, I bet it was one of the cats like my granddaughter loves, called a Squishy. It's actually a brand and there are copycats brands. They range from realistic to whimsical in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colors and types: cats, dogs, unicorns, dinosaurs, just about anything you can think of. As I understand it (I've bought them for her, but they were shipped, so I've never held one) they are always soft, plush, and filled with something similar to memory foam. Kids carry them around, sleep with them, or on them. The longer ones like maybe you saw, are good for side sleepers to drape a arm or leg over. They may be tiny like a couple inches or as big as a child. I was, at first baffled when she had it on her Chustmas list last year. My granddaughter has at least 2-3 of the big cats in different colors. Some are realistic colors, others crazy colors.
