Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning. 31° and cloudy here. Heading into 40’s. Kind of stuck n a cold weather rut here. Supposed to start warming toward normal tomorrow.

Yesterday turned out beautiful n tbe afternoon though. I went to Petoskey to Hobby Lobby to stock up on craft paints. Needed certain colors for latest project. Will substitute for some of them. Had lunch at a Bob Evans, little shopping at Meijer there, and on home. Course the pups were glad to see me and started bugging me for their afternoon walk, never mind that I was walking around Hobby Lobby and Meijer  But there was the hour drive home, so I was sitting for awhile. We had a very pleasant 2 hour walk around Heart Lake over here. I could do that walk in about 40 minutes, but they need explore and sniff time and that’s okay. It’s their walk, their time to be out house and yard. We have got about 5 miles in the last couple days.

Shirl, hope the reason for noise gets solved. Anita, sorry about your friend. My neighbor posted a sang in FB the other day and it is so true.
Part of it said “If you have something you really want to do, Do it. You don’t have many tomorrows”. . Barbie, glad first day on the job went well. Martha, had to laugh about going to thrift stores and Maybe the flea market for funnel cake. Beth, solar might be a good way to go. Today is your meeting with that director too. Guess it’s reckoning time.

Time to have my morning fruit, then hop in the shower and get busy here. Want to work on wood crafts today so can get them out at the entrance. Traced the pattern on one body last night. Will start painting that one and while it is drying, will trace second body. First up is run the vac. Have a great day all.

Barbie, good news on a successful first day on the new job. I got a text yesterday that the meeting here for today is cancelled as things are too busy. So I'll see what happens my next work day. I'm thinking of taking a ride over to McDonald Observatory this afternoon.

Good morning. Going to be another great day today for working in the yard. This week is supposed to be sunshine and heat LOL predicting Wed 78 Thurs 80 and Friday 90. Good grief what happened to in between 60 and 75 LOL But it is really good to see the sun out there. I can work in the mornings and since I am usually done after lunch this will work. I am going to rototill my garden area today as it should be dry enough. We have terrible soil up here. Mainly clay aka cement soil. Hard to dig but I bought a good garden fork and have a couple of good shovels so will get a couple of plants to plant around the house. I have bags of compost and garden soil but I know I will need some more. I put my tomato stands together yesterday and that was hard on my hands snapping those rings in place to I got out my Robo's and that made it much easier. I finally bought some decent tomato stands a couple of years ago but didnt do anything with them last year of course. So this is the year ha ha

Barbie glad your job seems to be okay so far. Hope you get your issues resolved by finding the right positions. That is so important. Shirl good luck with your balcony garden. Beth just remember your home has wheels ha ha that is what I always told myself when I was working. Hope things improve so you can enjoy the area. Sue of course is busy as ever. I wish I had just "some" of her ambition but it is what it is. You know we all have our own pace. AND we have more years behind us than ahead of us so we might as well enjoy the time now no matter what pace we are at.

Breakfast soon, no shower until later after my work is done. I need to get my cargo space mat I kept out of my Equinox into the new car. I am sure I will have to trim it down as this one is much smaller. I still need to fool with the infotainment center and settings but there will be time later. Right now I am just excited to get out in the yard.

Good afternoon!

Thanks for mentioning the loss of my friend. I was only around him a short time, but I was surprised at all the memories that popped into my head yesterday from conversations and outings. Sue, so true about 'just do it'! Barbie, glad the first day went well. Beth, wish you could get the drama over with and just enjoy your time there. Karen, I don't have dirt to dig in, but it's a beautiful day here! I've already been on the patio for some Vitamin D. Martha, yum on the funnel cake! I've mapped out that Monday morning I can get a Cinnabon in Evanston, Wyoming! Haven't had one in over 10 years. Sheila, I need to learn from you and set a 'schedule' for each day on a project! Maybe I'd finish one! :)

Suitcase is packed and will do backpack with electronics this evening. I'm usually very frugal in the amount of clothes I take, but I think I pretty much just cleaned out the closet! Not that I have a really large wardrobe. And oh oops! I just remembered the things I hung to dry in the bathroom! :( I'll also plug in the 12-volt cooler this evening. With so much crime these days, I think this trip will be different when it comes to making stops anywhere.

Slept good last night and slept in this morning...until the roofers got started on the house across the street!

The friend of Dave's that was supposed to fix my burned outlet, finally showed up today to fix it. So that is done.

I made the covers for the skylights and will put them up when it starts getting really hot out (over 100*). I used a piece of foam poster board with reflectix on one side and pretty contact paper on the other side, and taped them together with white duct tape to hold it all together. They should look nice when I put them up and keep the heat out too.

I am thinking yet of painting over the wallpaper in my kitchen. I got a gallon of paint from a neighbor that is a very pale yellow and am thinking that would look decent without being too bold. The wallpaper is white with little pink flowers on it. Or I could paint it the same color as the bedroom, hallway, and bathroom, which is a taupe with a hint of mauve. White just seems too boring.

Chatted with my next door neighbor tonight on her deck with the stray cats lounging there. Was so nice out, perfect temp and nice breeze! I should open the windows tonight. :D

Need to get to bed soon so I can get up at o'dark, thirty (aka 4:30am  ). Probably will learn a new job tomorrow. They make lots of different cannabis products. A little variety is good! I found a music app for my phone and found my headphones in the shed, so I can listen to some decent, non-offensive music tomorrow. Just have to remember not to start singing along to the music! :o

Good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

that would be pretty funny Barbie singing to one song while a rap is on   glad your day went well and hopefully not to many not working days... I'd love it if we ended up in Q together... a big part of me wants to text my brother's and sister and remind them that I am on Oxygen because of being in the high altitudes and I don't want to during the winter I am welling to stay with mom may through Sept and then back down to Q where I can be off oxygen... but then on the other hand I know that mom just doesn't want to be away from her home I can understand that I so want to be in my home... as small as it will fell after being in a larger house for over two years... there really is no easy answer... I do know that there are things that do bug me that shouldn't
I got my clothes folded and put away so grateful for my niece doing it...
the other day I ordered some jeans from Kohl's and never got the promised e-mail with tracking so was getting worried about it the money came out of the account I was thinking it was due here after the 1st of may so that wasn't what I was worried about... so called my DD in Washington explained my concern's so she told me how to check my e-mail only could do it on my gmail account and couldn't find it there...so she went into my yahoo which meant I then had to have a new password so she created one for me  found out that my order was at the post office... tonight went to yahoo and of course had to put in my password... either I wrote down something wrong or something because it wouldn't accept it so I got a new code and put in the password that dd wrote up... I was going to save it but it said next so saved didn't happen ... opps that is so too bad I discovered that I had the caps button on so who knows what I actually typed a 2 instead of @ it maybe easier to have to redo it... and got my taxes done but for the life of me can't find where it says I owe or I pay other than what I need to pay to have it done... I'm either over looking it or something is missing...
Have a fun trip Anita
that is too bad Beth I wish that they had had the meeting it's got to be frustrating
you all have a great day

Left Zion this morning and drove to Page, where I am staying one night in a commercial campground. One reason I chose this place was because I knew they had a good laundry room. Did three big loads and folded everything, plus ironed a few things that turned out overly wrinkled and there the cuffs on my shorts needed to be pressed. Some stuff was a bit damp, so did my usual hanging stuff all over the place. I have some very nice fold-up hangers from my trip to the UK last year, so hung a lot of stuff up. Everything is now dry and put away, so I am good for another two weeks or so.

Going to be at Abiquiu Lake for two weeks, and am a little concerned because there is only one small grocery store nearby. I am pretty well stocked up, but I know I will need something so will have to make do. Get spoiled from having large stores nearby.

Onward tomorrow to Farmington, NM, and then the next day to Abiquiu. After that, will head north a bit and finally into Colorado and then headed east to Ohio.
