Good Morning. Cloudy and 43°. 50’s for today.

Had a bit of ad entire yesterday afternoon. Took the dogs for a walk, knowing g rain was coming in later. Stopped to talk with a lady across the Highway who walks like I do everyday, but she’s in the woods more than I am. Asked :o if she had seen bear around as reports of sightings are coming in on local Gaylord group page. Said no, but has seen some big tracks while out walking. Also asked about bobcat. Said it’s in their yard on occasion. Was a cub last year, but getting big now. All the bunnies have disappeared. It’s been hunting. And then there are the deer running around too. So the local wildlife are on the move.

After we finished talking, I was going to walk the dogs up to the end of that road and back, it’s a cul de sac. But while the dogs stopped to sniff something, I was looking at the sky and decided to abort the walk and start home. I could see the rain clouds moving in. It started to rain before we got much farther and was coming down pretty good for a few minutes, then let up. But I was prepared , my jacket had a hood and is waterproof. Once we got down the trail along the highway toward our road, we crossed the highway and took a shortcut through the trees to our road. . Turned out to be a good move. Got in the gate and was removing the dogs leashes when there was a brief flash of lightening :o . Needless to say we beelined for the house with thunder crashing overhead. That was the one and only flash of lightning and thunder. But boy did it rain after that. made it just in time. Then a short bit later, the sun peaked out, no more rain

Free dsy todsy. Plan to finish up loose ends in basement, do a bit of bookwork and start the next phase of wood art for entrance. Have a nice day all.

Good morning, I am up and at em pretty early for me to start functioning but I have an early eye doctor appointment, need to put the garbage out, and after eye appt need to pick up my groceries from Safeway. We are supposed to hit a warming trend this week. I sure hope so.
Supposedly starting Tuesday we should have lots of sun Wed 79 and Thursday they say 84, we shall see. Then into the 70's for the remainder of the 10 day forecast. I might finally be able to get into the yard. Time for a shower and some breakfast then off to get my eye shots.

Just had some lunch. Still cloudy and raining a bit so I hope tomorrow is better. Got my eye shots but no dilation today. Got scanned tho as usual. He saw a little more fluid behind my left eye so we are going back to 4 weeks for a bit I am okay with that. Je said not much but lets nip it in the bud. Carol a little tip for Bill: ask for Tylenol drops for your eye after your injection. I didnt know about this as I told my doc sometimes that dang Betadine they use stings for a while. He said lets get you some Tylenol drops. Use them for a couple of days as needed. Now I just have to go to the pharmacy to pick it up dang it. Shirl I hope to be playing in the dirt soon.

Hi ladies!

It's warm in central FL and our temperature is 88 degrees. It looks like Martha is in for more rain but it should fizzle out before it gets to FL.

Karen, are your eyes numbed before the injections?

We're going to the clubhouse for a free meal of BBQ'd hotdogs. They're trying to get rid of whatever foods they have leftover. I made a crockpot of baked beans to go with them.

The Archbishop is coming to our church Sunday and am hoping I can handle the music with him there.

Judy I've been thinking about your comment on balance. It's a big issue as we age. I've been working at maintaining for over a decade now, so seldom have any issues and no falls. Because of your comment, I did a bit of looking on YouTube, and there are some really good videos under the search balance exercises for seniors. 2 things I do every day, are potty squats! Each time you go potty, sit down amd stand up 10 times! When I first started that, I had to grab edge of wall to get up, now I can just stand up. Second thing is, standing where you have a chair or wall to brace on if needed, take turns raising one foot off the floor while maintaining balance, then the other. At first you will find yourself grabbing and only able to maintain a second or two. Keep doing practice every day and you will notice improvement after just a few weeks. Use it or lose it! Keep up daily practice!

Well I sucked it up and went to Walmart pharmacy...of course they didnt have any wont be in until Tuesday. Luckily my eyes arent stinging at all. I usually just use the Refresh vials and that helps but today was all good, no stinging. I will be ready for next time tho so it will be good to have them on hand. Irmi oh yes they numb my eyes by putting drops in about every 5 minutes. They prop your eyes open before the injections. Takes all of 2 minutes LOL They numb my eyes, doc comes in, props the eyes open, puts Betadine in, bam shot in each eye. I am done. The only thing I feel is pressure so it really isnt too bad. Next time I go they will dilate my eyes, do the eye test and scan again. I hate that because they dilate my eyes and it takes forever for them to be clear again.

Spent the afternoon texting with my salesman on my car. He told me today was my lucky day they have $5001.00 off MSRP til the end of the month. WAHOO So I am driving up to Laura's tomorrow then to the dealer after lunch to finish up the paperwork I will spend the night with her and come home Sunday in my new ride hopefully.

Karen, that's exciting. New car ready and with a discount! Shirl I do enjoy your gardening adventures. Velda, thanks for the reminder about some of the easy exercises for balance. I used to do some but somewhere along the line quit. Time to start up again! And to not quit this time.

Work was quite busy today and since we have free admission tomorrow for Earth Day, if people noticed, we could be very busy. Even though they won't be charged, I'll have to put everyone in the computer as free to keep track of the numbers. I think I'll enjoy tomorrow more than the 50 school kids today. First group I didn't care for several of. But I did feel sorry one of the girls who came back and I could tell she'd been crying. She's scared of heights and didn't handle the hike well at all. I told her, totally understandable, and be proud of herself that she finished it.

I've not been getting my 10,000 steps everyday but did both yesterday and today. Ty loves the long walks. So between with y and those I'm exhausted and time for bed.

woke up to snow the hills that were getting brown were white again ... they are now brown again... made it to the store spent a lot of money it seems that it's not hard to spend lots of money at the store...
the other day a couple weeks ago or more I picked up a plant cause of the coloring more than less yesterday mom was asking about it what kind it was... so did the scan it on my phone that googles and tells you what it is... so it's a type of Arrowhead something... as we were visiting about it I looked at another plant and thought it's leaves look similar to the new one they are in the same family just different species ...
one thing I wanted was some strawberries... nope not to be found fresh anyway so thought will get some watermelon the ones already cute not to be found either... now if you wanted blackberries they had them up to the ying yang so bought a personal size watermelon it was the price of what the bowl would have cost but more waste in that you have to get rid of the green stuff... so need to go in and take care of that in a bit...
my friend sent me a recipe for a way of preparing chicken need to read it again it is pretty different but did get chicken need to divid it up and put it into the freezer and also got salmon it's a case of I got stuff and have no idea what I'm going to make for supper tomorrow night... might make soup like hamburger soup it sounds good...
was going to make hot chocolate wish I had as I am chilled but forgot till too late...
oh and as I was leaving Smith's girl scout's were setting up a table 4 boxes later...
I saw something that was in a magazine that we get well mom gets I pay for it and sometimes read it .... I forget that it's there cause it is a magazine I totally enjoy Birds and Bloom... anyway they had a flyer for pot to grow plants in it made me think of Shirl and her balcony but it made me think that perhaps I will look into it a bet more and maybe grow something besides containers of flower's...
I am working on the border of my new afghan it is suppose to be 285 stitches and it counts out to that much... the pattern is single crochet 2 one double crochet single crochet 19 double crochet and when you get to the end should have a double crochet then 2 single crochet... for some reason that last pattern it's only going to 16 so I am really puzzled... really puzzled but perhaps tomorrow it will make more sense... the border is actually all single crochet for 6 rows... I decided to use safety pins and plot my pattern to make sure the count is correct but sure don't know how I am consistently off as many stitches as I am... good thing I've only put 4 rows on it will be easy to undo a few back and add some on I just want to find my mistake ...
Sue good thing you didn't get caught in that down pour
you all have a great day

Just after midnight here. Drinking some cocoa with Baileys before bed.

I have been doing a lot of reading up on ADHD. I have been pretty sure, for quite a long time now that I have it, but haven't been officially diagnosed with it. I have just about every single symptom of it and I think that is what causes a lot of my depression and frustrations; like not finishing things I start, easily distracted, bothered by bright lights, loud noises and crowds, lose my train of thought easily, can't sit still, very short attention span, etc. Even as a kid, I had a lot of the signs. Back then it wasn't really well known, especially for girls. I am reading a book about it that talks a lot about the positive side affects of ADHD and I can relate to most of those as well. I think I will see if I can go in and get evaluated. It would be nice to be able to calm down and think clearly without my mind racing in 6 directions all the time. It can be exhausting!

There is a bird here that sings all night long. Has a pretty song, so I don't mind. Lots of birds singing in the mornings!

Called the guy I interviewed with and asked him several questions about Monday, like dress code, personal belongings, etc. There are small lockers I saw in the break room so I asked about those and if I can bring my own lock in. He said I don't need a lock on it, everything will be safe in there. :o Yeah right! I told him I don't want to leave my purse, keys and phone in an unlocked locker in the break room, (and that would be in a different building from where I will be working! :o ). I think I still have a lock from my old storage locker, in my car. Will check tomorrow. :o :o

Got a few things done today but did a lot of reading too. A few more things on my list for tomorrow. Sunday, am hoping to relax before I start work on Monday, VERY early!!

Karen, that is a great, unexpected discount on your new car! I don't think I could let anyone get near my eyes with a needle unless I was dead! I would have to be unconscious at the very least! Just reading about it, makes my eyes water and hurt!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
