Morning All, 57° today and 37°to tomorrow
with rain and snow. No accumulation expected. Had another sourdough fail this morning. Cook error again, I WILL get my act together. Lol. Think I will go to Bjs and get a 10 lb bag of flour. Went back to the thrift store and the clay baker was too big but only $15.00. They run from $40 - $150. Darn ! I’m Not discouraged yet Still trying to design a Shirl system that will enable me to bake a decent loaf of bread. Be safe

Shirl sorry for the fail but just look at it as a learning curve. I have lots of those LOL

I am off to they eye doc this morning for my eye injections. Then Laura is coming this afternoon on her way back home after visiting with her family in Medford. So better get my act together as I have an appt in an hour. Glad it is only 10 minutes away. 26 out with a skiff of snow so no big deal.

It's cloudy and foggy here at the beach. But I'm at the beach lol

Shirl, I know you're going to solve this. I have faith in you. I want to figure out something to eat but Ty has his head in my lap and I don't want to disturb him. Karen, say hi to Laura please.

Keep trying Shirl and then you can send us your tips.

I spent the night in my motorhome at the service place. Short on water, but had a couple of emergency jugs so I managed to take a quick shower and even wash a few dishes. They are working long and hard to finish it by this afternoon so I can go back to campground. I called the campground and let them know I would not be returning in case any of my neighbors panicked. I had also left two automatic lights charging on my picnic table and asked someone to please turn them off because they are very bright at night. Lately, i have been using them as packrat deterrents under my rig.

The service guy started work at 6 am but had told me night before I could sleep while he worked on brakes. I am now in waiting room for the whole day, so boring and tiring.

I did realize I can not accurately measure the flour without using the food scale. Today I forgot to feed the starter yesterday so it wasn’t the best. Most of mistakes are age related. Can’t change that but will go slower and more careful. Practice makes perfect. Lol. A slice of the bread was a little doughy but butter improves Everything. Lol

If you own a Cosori Air Fryer (I do), check the Cosori recall site. Mine, sadly, is on recall. I'm to cut the cord off and send photos and they will replace it in 2-8 weeks! Frustrating as I use it at least once a day!
Chilly and damp here. No snow that I know of yet. Was lightly sprinkling when I first woke. Plan to spend day indoors, working on pantry. I got a over door shoe bag to hold a Loy of small packets of electrolytes and protein powders. That will empty 3-4 boxes. Will do my walking and Body Groove dance too. That should take care of Friday.
Make your weekend a safe and good one!

Good morning gals.

Windy here but clear blue skies! Where is the storm?? Must be still hanging out over LA.

Need to get some things done today around here. The deck, patios, and driveway are filthy with little piles of blown in dust and sand, but not a good day to try and clean that up. I need to dig thru stuff in the shed to find my little leaf blower this weekend and blow all that off.

Have any of you tried Manuka Honey? I will get my order today. Supposed to be tasty and good for inflammation of the stomach and heal the stomach lining, as well as many other benefits. I already have some in lotion form and use it on my hands, etc and it feels nice. It comes exclusively from New Zealand.

I guess I better get up and do something constructive...

Have a good day!

I've heard about Manuka Honey for several years they have it at our Coop. Here is part of one article about it and it also mentions it can be ordered on Amazon. They do mention that it is so popular now that they are fake products out. https://www.healthy-holistic-living.com ... z0QAfPrg70. Manuka Honey Kills MRSA, Other Superbugs

Manuka honey is created by bees foraging on the nectar of Leptospermum Scoparium, the New Zealand manuka bush, as well as tea trees native only to Australia and New Zealand.

In the aforementioned studies, Australian researchers found that the honey killed every bacteria or pathogen it was tested on, according to a report by The Australian. The honey can be applied topically to help fight against infections of the skin, cuts and insect bites, or taken internally.

Shirl good luck with your bread I am confident you will win this battle!

I am so excited I am going to meet with another hypnotist next week who has moved to the area recently. She had a very large practice out west but not sure if she is going to work here. My neighbor met her while they were both in the waiting room at the Subaru dealership waiting for their cars! I love that people still chat with strangers here.

Shirl, everything is better with butter on it. lol That's why I seldom try to make bread because I will eat half of it with butter while it's hot.

I have a jar of Manuka Honey. I don't remember what I read that made me buy some and it is expensive. There is a drug/health food store in Lafayette that carries things like that.

I went to Sam's today and got too much food. There is just too much in each of their things. I got a chicken alfredo lasagna and beef stew meat. I cut the lasagna into 6 servings so I could freeze it. Hope it's good because I have a lot of it. I put the stew meat into 1 pound packages. I was going to get a chicken but got side tracked and forgot it. Gas has gone down a little again. It was $2.72. I picked up one of the ribeye sandwiches Arby's has been advertising. It was good but messy. I find most of their sandwiches are messy.

It was another 80 degree day. They said on the news that 81 was a record high for the day in Lafayette.

Made it back to campground by 6:15 pm. The mechanics and office manager stayed almost an hour late to finish my truck so I would not have to spend the weekend there. Expensive and very boring day, but hopefully all this work will mean I can get another 5 years out of it.

that is too bad that you had to spend big bucks Judy hoping it lasts as long as you need it to. What are your plans when you need to decide if fixing it is worth the money as it does come down to it... eventually
there has been a lot of talk about this storm we aren't in it's path I don't think at least it didn't look like it..
my #3 dd got enough snow the other day that she was snowed in in her yard had a doctors appt to go to but the main two roads to get to the town where her appt was was closed go her dil took her the long way around before she left her house she realized that she had no water so thought it was a frozen fan in the pump house so went out and turned on the heater got home still snowed in and slush near the pump house so something had frozen and burst... but all is well the next day dil pulled her out after the driveway was plowed and son fixed the broken whatever pipe it was .... quite the couple days for her and dealing with a UTI as well... her drs appt was a normal checkup but she wasn't feeling well so didn't want to cancel it good thing...
enjoy your beach Beth that would be a fun place to camp...
I've heard of using honey for health aid but always thought it was suppose to be local honey... hope it helps and your tummy starts healing was reading a Woman's World and an article caught my eye one tummy issues... thought of you Barbie one thing (the only thing I recall is) ginger tea might help
vacuumed today that was about all it wrote... some times I really like the idea of a "Henry" doing it I really ought to look into it he probably wouldn't tell mom she needs to either sit down in her chair or get off the carpet  and get the dirty look when told she isn't off the carpet far enough...
Red Lobster's ad sure looks good but the closest one is 3 hours away on a good day makes it not worth it... you all have a great day

I ordered a jar of the Manuka Honey from Amazon and got it today. It is very thick and good with a little spicy taste to it. Some of the brands come with ginger in the honey too but the one I found wouldn't get delivered for another week or two and I wanted something right away to try. The "real" stuff has to be UMF certified. It is a bit pricey but if it works, it will be worth it.

Had a bad headache today so I took a nap and felt better tonight. Didn't get much done tho. Back to work tomorrow from 9am to 2pm. My knee is feeling better, but I haven't been doing much walking or movement for several days. Will wear my new brace at work tomorrow tho.

Lots of heavy rain in LA, along the coast, and feet of snow in the mountains out that way. Nothing here yet but it is coming tomorrow I think.

There is a new fluffy all black kitty that is hanging around here. I have found him on my deck a couple times. Romeow just looks at him thru the slider door. Will have to come up with a name for him. Maybe Ebony. :? A friend of mine gave me her fluffy black cat, named Ebony, way back when, just after high school.

Have a good night!
