It’s almost 3 o’clock my time and nobody is on here Guess you must all be napping, buried in snow, washed away with the rains, or whatever.
I just came back in from being out doing a little snowblowing. We haven’t had that much and actually my driveway didn’t really even need it but I did the neighbors that I haven’t done the last couple times. They probably only had about 3 inches in the drive, but the county has gone through and scraped the road a couple of times, so that was starting to pile up at the end. And I just kind of made a patch over mine while I was out there. It’s extremely windy here. And that wind is cold. My weather station says it is 26° with a real feel of 16. But while I was outside I was perfectly toasty because my winter work coat that I wear when I snowblow, is windproof and insulated to at least 45 below. Plus I also have a pair of ski bibs and insulated boots on. I wear similar when I walk the dogs are there I need to use in snow pants instead of my ski bibs. With my fleece jackets under the coat, I could stay out there all day. One gets warm when you were walking anyway. I learned many years ago that windproof is the key to staying warm in cold weather as is waterproof or water repellent depending. So that job is done till who knows. We do have some snow coming in but we are supposed to see less than an inch. I guess the southern part of the state got dumped on pretty good yesterday.Sheila I know what you mean about those Watches. Sometimes they pan, out sometimes they don’t.
Beth, good luck on whatever you decide you’re going to take for next summer. Would be nice if you could get a job up in Michigan or Wisconsin or someplace, so you could visit your sister and just enjoy some of your old haunts. Enjoy being around some green and water.
I finished my last appointment for the week so I’m glad they’re done. Was mammo today. Wasn’t bad. Yesterday I took Riley to the vet for her Titer test and also a booster. Piper elected to stay home. So when we came home about an hour later, she met me at the door like she usually does but because Miley had stayed outside and wasn’t with me she just drooped. I guess she thought the worst maybe. But I told her that Molly was outside. And I opened up my window wall and I motion for her to go out and as soon as she saw miles she flew out that door, raced across the deck and nuzzled her nose, checked her out, thrn nuzzled her ear and nose again. They then proceeded to come into the house together. It was really touching watching them. It just shows how close of a bond they have. Then Piper got all excited to see me right after that.
But right now I am being bugged to go for a WALK so I guess I had better get myself dressed and get out that door. Catch you all later.
