Morning All, it 44°and raining. Accuweather says showers so will run errands in between. Martha looks like bad weather headed your way, stay safe. Amazon packages at #1 daughters for me and a grocery pickup at Food Lion. Shelia, I love sausage gravy and biscuits. Two ingredient biscuits are made with self rising flour and heavy cream. I forgot I didn’t have cream so decided to have a piece of coconut cake after my soup. #1 granddaughter gave me my own little cake for Christmas so I sliced it and put it in the freezer. Judy, you are doing a lot of driving, time for a rest. Lol Everyone be safe.

Morning all. After 2 beautiful days we are back into the rain and lower temperatures. Although high 30’s isn’t bad! Just saw a few minutes ago local school district had a 2 hour delay due to some icy roads within the district. Here in town appeared fine though but we have a lot of rural roads the buses have to navigate. Buddy and I were able to get out for a couple of walks and he seems to enjoy them. He seems to not want to go in the car. He settles down once he’s in but sure doesn’t go in willingly. He did woof at a walker and another dog yesterday. I didn’t grab his attention fast enough and had trouble getting him to focus on me for him to not react. I’m going to have to find a different treat for this situation since he wasn’t interested in his “normal” treat which is a piece of his kibble. So right now between the barking and chewing we’re doing pretty well! The joys of puppy ownership! There have definitely been a few times I wanted to throw in the towel but I took on the challenge and I’m sure we’ll get through all this! We’re getting a late start on the socializing aspect due to the vaccine situation so we have to try to make up some time on that. I finally picked up the much larger crate from son and daughter-in-law and he seems to really like it. I have it taking up space in the kitchen since I spend much of the day in there. At least until I can fully trust him not to have an accident on the carpet! I have been supervising time in the rest of the house so he can get familiar with that part of the house. Anyway, sorry, rambling here! I did enjoy reading the posts from all of you yesterday on training a pup. It’s been awhile since I’ve been through this stage! And first time I’ve ever done it alone. I suppose I should get busy and get something done around here. Have laundry to do and at least did get some vacuuming done today! Hope you are all having a great day and find something fun to do.

Shirl, I see storms moving into Texas. The last weather I saw we are suppose to have rain moving through tomorrow night. I thought I heard it raining last night but didn't look at the rain gauge. I will have to try the two ingredient biscuits. I have some heavy cream. For some reason, heavy cream is hard to find and sometimes I can't find 1/2 and 1/2. The grocery situation is just crazy. A couple of women said they couldn't find Hellmann's mayo. The two stores I go to have plenty.

Catherine, Facebook has finally quit acting crazy. I have a problem with Sugar eating every piece of trash she finds. I walked to the dumpster at the campground and she found a piece of bone. There was no getting it away from her. I remember having to fill out a customs report when I sent my brother things in Canada. I never ask if he had to pay something when he got it. Postage got so expensive we quit sending things.

I need to get one of the Vipertek things. I was walking Sugar and three dogs came running from across the campground towards us. We just froze and I was trying to think of what I could do. I don't know what the two smaller dogs were because I was focused on the German Sheppard. They got to about 10 feet from us and just stopped, turned around and ran back to their camp site. I can tell you who I would like to use the Vipertek on, the owner of the dogs. There are always people that think that leash laws don't apply to them. Everyone comments on what a good dog Sugar is. I can't take the credit for that. She only barked one time at a truck passing at the campground.

Sheila, my son has an appointment tomorrow with an internal medicine doctor. I'm hopping she will have some idea of what is going on with him. I think the blood pressure pills that made his potassium go so low has messed up his system.

I keep forgetting to get the rugs out of the camper. They need to be washed. Our camp site was mostly dirt and we tracked a lot of it in. There was a sign at the campground that told all the improvements that are going to be made. Someone said they hopped we would live long enough to see the improvements. That campground is over 6,000 acres and very wooded. I wish they would clear the lake side so we could get to the lake at somewhere besides the boat launch.

Good morning. Was chilly out this morning low 30's but we are now a balmy 43. So I am going to pick up my mail, and then go pick up my grocery order. Not very exciting but better than nothing ha ha
I think I will venture to Costco tomorrow, I have a couple of things to pick up and also want to get a roasted chicken. They have the biggest plumpest chickens for $4.99 I know they are a lost leader but hey I get several meals out of just one. Of course that wont be the only thing I buy I am sure.
Healthy eating is going well here at my house. I have a few snacks left to eat up but I am eating them slowly, as in just a few at a time. I have an affinity for those spice drops. Full of sugar inside and out LOL so only eat a few at a time. Also found my Hazelnut creamer Zero sugar and that is what I make my afternoon Mocha's with. No guilt.

Good afternoon ladies!

We woke up to the 3rd day of frost in central FL. It was 36 when I got up and it is 72 right now. The cold snap is supposed to be out of here and should wake up in the high 40's or low 50's to start the day.

I talked to Carolb this morning instead of our usual Monday conversation. I had a Requiem Mass to play for yesterday and didn't get the music for that service until I was in church the day before. Needless to say, I had a crash course on how to play the Ave Maria and several others I had never heard. The service was very nice and I got lots of compliments. We stopped for lunch at one of our favorite haunts on our way home, which was exactly what I needed at that point.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Just got off the putting course. It was super windy and cold! We actually had windchill! Brrr! We were all jumping around trying to stay warm! However, I ended up playing really good today! :D I got only 3 strokes on every hole except for one, which I got 5 on :( . I figured my mom was helping me out today since it is my birthday. On that one hole, the gal ahead of me got a hole in one, so I figured my mom got a little ahead of herself and accidentally gave her the hole in one instead of me! So I might make some money from today's score!

Our group keeps getting bigger and bigger each week and there are just too many of us playing on the small course so they decided to split the group up into two groups, one starting at 8:30 and one at 10am each week. I signed up for the later group. That starts next week.

I have a haircut to do at noon today. Then laundry and the porch stuff. Nothing planned for my birthday tho. Too cold to do anything outside, otherwise I could go for a hike or something. If it was nicer and I had a little extra money, I wold go to Joshua Tree and buy my NP Senior Pass card now that I am eligible for it and spend some time there again.

The last of the big storms is pushing thru today but all we are getting is the wind. The mountains to the north and west are gorgeous with all the snow on them now! Am just hanging out on my bed with a big fluffy blanket to warm me back up.

I have one of those Vipertech flashlights too. For personal safety reasons. I gave one to Linda (Bikerchic) last year for Christmas since she has a tiny dog to walk.

My friend Debbie gave me a card and gift the other day for my birthday. It was a canister of Almond Toffee bites! Yum! There is a shop in Palm Springs that makes and sells the best toffee and this was from that store! So good!

Have a good day!

I made it to Organ Pipe Cactus Ntl Monument at about 4 pm today. Stopped for gas last night but found it for only $3.35 this afternoon not far from the national park, so I filled up again. I also stopped for groceries yesterday and got quite a bit, but then decided to get more milk and some sugar because I will be here 8 days, and it is a long drive for anything here.

Funny thing. I woke up this morning with a vivid dream about batteries--like the AA kind. There was some kind of a national emergency, and I was in charge of getting and keeping enough AA batteries for everyone. Had thousands of them tucked away in a lot of places. When I woke up, i realized that I really needed more of these since I would be dry camping and use them for a little light I leave on at night so I don't trip if I get up. (Wish they had a 12 v nightlight!) I had asked for a battery charger for AA and AAA batteries but kids got me something else, so I bought a few batteries and then a charger that will charge 4 batteries at once. I am getting tired of the prices that batteries have risen to, so decided this would be a good purchase. Won't help me here, but will when I am someplace I can charge them.

I also picked up a couple of glowsticks and thought maybe leaving one on at night would replace the little lantern I have been using. When I was younger, I did not worry about nightlights, but now I just do not want to fall!!!!

Oh, and when I got here to my campground, I got a message from Verizon welcoming me to Mexico and explaining how my plan allowed me to make unlimited calls while I was here and would even give me some data!! Campground is about three miles from border!! Hotspots are using US data, however.

Anyway, after four days of driving, I can relax here for a while.

After the haircut at noon, I went to WM for some food and other things I needed. I decided last week to try out a water bottle that comes with flavor cartridges that they sell at WM and had really good reviews. I don't want to keep buying cases of Propel flavored water and dealing with the cost, the space they take up, and all the empty bottles I recycle each week, so thought this would be a better option, especially once I hit the road. So I bought the bottle kit today, but after getting home, I opened the box and it was empty! Someone had taken out the bottle and cartridges (leaving the wrappers inside). So now I have to go back to WM tomorrow and exchange it for another one that hasn't been tampered with. They aren't that cheap! I also bought a small 4" Black Forest cake for my birthday. It is pretty good! Everything is SO expensive now! I am trying to be very careful and selective with what I buy now. I try to get the Great Value WM brand of things which are cheaper and actually pretty good for a generic brand.

I am still on the fence about the cat litter vs pellets. I still have them mixed together. The only real problem is that Romeow won't cover up his poo now and then I have to run over and scoop it out right away before the house smells to high heaven! I might have to just deal with the tracking of the litter (better than the smell! ). I switched brands from Tidy Cat which is way too dusty to another one which is much better with very little dust.

Didn't get much else done today. :( There is always tomorrow...

Judy, I'm guessing you have a light near your bed. I changed all my bulbs out for led ones long ago (nice that most new RV's have led fixtures) so if I wake up I just reach and turn on my nearest fixture. No need for night lights.

Walking Ty just before dark he wanted to visit everyone. Not a good time. I wanted to be home before dark and the mosquitoes come out around that time. I did make a quick stop by the managers place and usually Ty would be all over both of them. Instead he jumped in the golf cart and I noticed him grabbing something so asked if we had a problem. They laughed and said he'll quickly drop it but it wouldn't matter if he didn't. Turns out it was one long radish. Guess what, he loved it. Ken went to take it from him and it was a tug of war lol. They were worried it wouldn't be good for him and I simply said he loves veggies. And he sure proved it. 3 other people walked by and were cracking up at Ty and the radish. He's quite the hit around here. Mosquitoes were getting me on our way home after that but we beat total darkness.

I went over to see how the people playing poker were doing after I brought Ty home. They keep asking me to play and I do like it so promised I'd join them Thursday. $5 buy in. I can afford to lose that but winning would be better lol I'd actually just like to not be the first one out but who cares if I'm having fun.

No plans for tomorrow so I should do more work in the RV. It's getting reorganized little by little.

I found the nightlights on Amazon, but does anyone know how long they take to recharge after using one overnight? If I have no power except for running the generator, I don't want to have to run it very long.

I do have a light near my bed, but it is very bright, so I don't like to use it when I wake up in the night. Looking for something that sort of glows or is just barely on, like a regular night light is.

Judy I just recently bought 3 motion detector night lights. They are battery operated they last a long time if you dont have them on constantly. They have a switch OFF ON AUTO
I keep mine on AUTO I have one in each bathroom and the living room. They are just perfect for that midnight stroll LOL And they are not bright, just enough so I can totally see where I am at. I walk in the bathroom and they come right on. So far I love them. They take the AAA batteries.
