A new year. Whoa! I couldn't miss midnight because the fireworks that were going off in the area of and on started a big huge bang for awhile. I hollered rabbits, happy New Year. I was going to go into the rec hall but the fireworks then we're enough to require being here for Ty to stay right next to me. He doesn't get very bad but when they go nuts, he just needs his security blanket, me. They are back down to occasional again now.

I wish everyone a wonderful new year.

Happy New Year and Rabbits everyone! We ended 2022 with rain, lots of rain! Like equaling the flood volume of rain from 97! We sit high and dry, but some are out sandbagging and learning to use sump pumps.we had a few booms in distance from midnight to 01 , nothng close.
Looking forward to a bright, shiny new year.

Happy New Year everyone. Mom Nature decided to start it with a little light snow mixed with some freezing drizzle. Just enough to slick up the roads a bit. I was in bed long before midnight, but was up again at midnight as Molly wanted out and Piper was a bit nervous, as somebody must have been shooting fireworks or something. Didn’t have my hearing aids on, so didn’t hear it.

Glad you are getting some rains out there in CA, but no fun when sandbags and sump pumps are needed, especially on a holiday weekend. Guess it’s your turn , as we had the blizzard on Christmas weekend. Just rain in a different form

Martha, as to HP computers, it’s not HP that is stopping support of Windows, it’s Microsoft. All computers that have 8.1 installed will be unsupported in two weeks. So it’s either upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 and free upgrades are no longer available for those, so you have to buy them. Microsoft recommends just getting a new computer. For those of you running Windows 10 on your computer, that will be unsupported in Oct. 2025. I am also getting notices from Google that they won’t update on Windows 8.1 anymore either. So I’m dumping the whole works
.
Shirl, my current IPad is a 7th generation, but the battery is wearing out. Would it be cheaper to just buy a new battery but I wanted to get a newer model because Internet speeds are increasing and this one is getting slow, as well as other things evolving out in cyber world. Apple does support their devices for a number of years and this one could be at least another 4 to 7. Right now it was updated to the 15.6 platform I think it is. That is the one thing that I like about Apple, they don’t upgrade constantly like windows does.Once I get the new one set up and the data transferred over, I will probably just use this one for playing games.

Anita, I think that neighbors wife is probably getting a pacemaker. Those are pretty common. My neighbor across the road has one. Hope they can eventually get settled down back to normal.

Off to check emails and thrn watch Mass on TV. Think this might be a work on my Wood craft project day. And play with my new IPad. Need to get that set up. Have a wonderful New Year’s day all.

Happy New Year ladies! I said Rabbits after the ball dropped. We'll be walking out the door soon to go to church.

Enjoy the first day of the year!

Happy New Year everyone! Planned New Year's Eve with my 2 sons and 1 DIL. No one was hungry for any of the finger foods I prepared, so I guess I'll put them out today. We were disappointed in Andy and Anderson. We started watching at 8:00 p.m. our time and Anderson was SO giggly you'd think they were actually drinking! Maybe off camera? Guest, Kevin Hart was unbelievable. Anyway, we switched over to Dick Clark's New Year's Eve with Ryan Seacreast and although that one had entertainment, it was mostly groups unfamiliar to me. Turned back to CNN just in time to watch the ball drop in NY and everyone went their separate ways. Went to bed at 9:30. Such is the exciting life of an old lady. Rabbits to all!

Happy New Year ladies~~~
I actually said Rabbits! three times. Some booms on the hour, starting at 10 pm. I think they celebrated Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones. Not as bad as back in Illinois, so Punkin didn't seem to care.

Have a joyous and healthy year. Every day is an adventure. Celebrate the little things.

Happy New Year to Everyone. I was reading and hadn't realized it had gotten so late. Almost dropped my nook when a huge BOOM went off at midnight. Sounded like a building blew up. Then the fireworks started in earnest. Went on for about 15 minutes from all around us. I did remember rabbits before I went to bed and again this morning before I got up.
Hope everyone has a good new year - health and happiness and good friends and fun travel or projects.
Today is our 58th anniversary. Where have the years gone?

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023
Well I didnt see any festivities surrounding the ball drop. I did see it drop at 9 but I was sleeping right after that. I am usually an early riser so early to bed works for me. Of course there were no RABBITS involved this morning. Oh well it didnt help much for me last year so guess I will try again in February ha ha I was awakened last night by a few booms at midnight, Emma of course was off the bed and under it. She was back on the bed this morning so guess she figured it was safe. They didnt last long so that was a plus. I should have said Rabbits then but I just rolled over and went back to sleep. LOL

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BILL AND CAROL

All quiet here this morning. I didn't mean to stay up to midnight but I watched a movie on Apple +TV and when it was over it was almost 12. So I was awake to listen to the distant fireworks and the close by sounds of a nursing puppy. None of the dogs seemed to worry about the fireworks, though I do know that some dogs get more sensitive as they age...until the begin to lose their hearing and revert to not minding anymore.

Happy New Year to all. May the next circle around the sun bring you opportunities for adventures in living, learning, joy and laughter. So much of the rest of the stuff seems to find us whether we want it to or not. Go forth and persevere.

Happy New Year everyone. I was up past midnight and did remember rabbits. Even repeated it a few times so maybe I can keep some in reserve for when I forget. Our ice and snow is all gone now too. And having temps in the 50’s is just crazy but not complaining! Looking like by the end of this week we’ll be down to more seasonable temps and conditions. We had a few fireworks go off last night but not very many and Buddy slept through them. They weren’t real close so that was good. This week pup will go in for his last round of puppy shots so that’ll open the way for more socializing and going for walks. He’s growing just in the month I’ve had him and is so full of energy and is always getting into something. Been working on some basic commands and that’s hit and miss right now. Kinda depends on his mood and if he wants to listen to me. But working on it! I finally visited with my kids over the last several days. Between weather and illnesses I’ve just stayed home. I’ll be glad when things get back to normal, whatever that is! Hoping for a good year for everyone. Stay healthy and be safe.

Just hanging out in bed yet. Romeow spent most of last night out on the porch in spite of all the fireworks and booming happening around us. He could care less!

We got some rain overnight here. I slept thru it but must have been quite a bit (for us) since the road outside is still wet and lots of puddles. The sun is out now tho.

I did say "Rabbits" at midnight, so hopefully that helps sell the house this month!

Need to find something to eat since my tummy is growling and then maybe get the chili going. Will just throw it all in a crockpot for the day. I think I will get some reading done today.

Have a good day and beginning of the new year!
