Good morning gals!

So happy I could sleep in this morning! Got a new memory foam pillow yesterday at WM and it is so nice and soft! I slept great on it!

Romeow has been better about not going berserk in the middle of the night now. He waits until I wake up now. 8-) I hope he settles down some before we get a camper!

Yesterday, the new stylist didn't show up for work and didn't call. I called my manager and he came in a little early for his shift. Turns out she decided to drive down to Mexico with some friends instead. She really needs to be fired, but because we are so short-handed and there are so few stylists applying, they will just slap her on the back of the hand and keep putting up with her bad behavior. Meanwhile, that puts a big strain on me and my manager.

Need to finish up the housecleaning today. The sun is out so I should be a little more motivated. Just lose all motivation when it is cloudy outside, like on Friday. I had a dream last night that I started doing some housecleaning but it kept getting worse and worse until it was like a hoarder house! :o

I might make some sloppy joes today.

Sharon, congrats on the puppy and have fun! I wouldn't have the patience for a puppy! Hard enough with a crazy kitten/cat.

Oh, and I discovered a huge fire ant colony they made at the base of the tree stump! I put down some fire ant bait and will see what that does. Otherwise I may have to call the landscape team and get them over here. There is a large hole going under the stump that looks like it was made by a small animal but the ants are coming out of there too.

Have a good Sunday!

Afternoon Barbie and All, it’s 47° and sunny. Just been putzing around and always surprised how fast time flies. Last year I bought what I thought was a Thanksgiving cactus but guess it was a Christmas cactus. I have it sitting on the kitchen counter under a strip of led lights under the cabinet. There are tiny blooms. I don’t watch the Hallmark movies but like Anne I watch YouTube. Of course cooking, renovating houses, gardening. Visiting a flea market in Paris. Aerial view of Scotland, Tuscany, etc. Anita, I will try to find a filmed walking tour of Leavenworth bet it is beautiful. Sharon, happy that you have a new fur friend. Tina, look forward to pictures of your fur babies. Karen you need to post your dinner menu earlier. I spent all morning trying to come up with an idea. Salmon cakes it is. Lol Beth, I am relieved to know you won’t starve. I don’t worry about Judy if she can’t find food locally she imports it from out of state. Lol Carol your blog from Mexico is Edith’s reason to get out of bed in the morning. I can almost smell the flowers from your beautiful new heading picture. Sorry can’t remember what else is going on. Be safe

Shirl, putzing is what I do best these days! It's another chilly day but cloudy. I tried to talk myself into walking to the store, but it'll wait for a day in the 30s. :) Kids asked for an enameled cast iron sauté pan for Christmas. Amazon ran out so ordered from Walmart - came chipped! Otherwise, I'm having a little more fun shopping this year though not buying much. I've joined Monica and some of her co-workers with providing for a family in need. I prefer doing that than contributing to charities who then badger you to death. There will be food drives around as well. Almost football time - going to try to get a few more decorations up during all the replays and commercials. :)

I got a late start today, didn't get out of bed until after 7.....that is way late for me. I watched the movie yesterday, I thought it was pretty accurate of Leavenworth. I didnt mind the lead actor much. Loved the scenery and seeing downtown again. I might have to make another trip up there one of these days next year. Got busy after breakfast and since I shampooed my bedroom rug yesterday morning had to vacuum it today. Then finished sorting out some clothes for the donation center. Now I will go thru my Christmas decorations and see what I can part with LOL I am minimizing my decorating for sure. Put it all out, then put it all back....nope not happening here. Shirl I dont have a dinner menu for today. Well yes I do, I have a ham steak and a yam and some brussels sprouts to cook. So will roast the sprots in the air fryer and heat the ham in a pan. Yam in the micro LOL ok problem solved.

I really enjoy Carols blog from Mexico. Those were some of my happiest memories of going to Mexico for a month each February. I was further south tho in Bucerias and Puerta Vallarta.

My Christmas cactus is what mine was supposed to be but it has decided it is a Thanksgiving cactus. I have 2 of them and they both changed holidays on me LOL These are pink and I want to find a yellow one. My friend had one and oh so pretty so hope I can find one this year or next.

I didn't get going until around 1pm today. Took out the trash, cut up cardboard boxes and hauled it all to the dumpster. Watched the tail end of the Vikings football game. It was a nail biter to the end but the Vikings won. I haven't watched them in a long time. I guess they are doing really good this year.

Visited with Gloria next door for a bit and then started working on my bike. I bought an air compressor awhile back but hadn't used it yet. So I got that plugged into my car and went to air up my tires. Well, it started for a second and then quit (the air compressor, not the car). Tried it over and over and it wouldn't stay running. Got ahold of Dave and he came by in the golf cart with Debbie and a friend of theirs. They took the bike back to their house, pumped up the tires and brought it back. I cleaned up the bike but it was getting dark so I wasn't able to ride it around with the battery in it, which is all charged up. So Tuesday I will do that. Need to oil the chain too since it is dirty. I plan to sell it and find another folding bike to get later.
I also replaced the new toilet flushing handle with a cheap one from WM and now it works! Yay! I wanted to use the stove to cook my hamburger for the sloppy joes but my propane tank was still shut off from back when my alarm went off. Well, when I turned it back on, I smelled a strong propane smell, so I shut if off right away. There must be a leak in the valve or hose. So no sloppy joes tonight. I will have to cook it at Gloria's house sometime this week.

I have had Romeow's litter box in the entry way of my front door that I never use (I go thru the porch). My agent wanted me to move the box somewhere else. So I did that today. Now it is in a little cat tent in the living room. Almost done cleaning out the left over litter in the entry way. Lots of bending over to do that so I didn't want to spend too much time with that due to my back issues. Will work on it again later. I did put up some garland on the deck railing today too.

Only 5pm. Should find a few things to do inside yet...

Hope you all had a productive day!

They finally got the internet fixed late this afternoon. This place has no cell service at all since it is in a canyon, but they provide you with free internet for one device with an option to buy it for up to three devices. In order to check on my aunt, I have been driving out to a scenic rest area each day for a couple of hours. Finally got details of their Christmas schedule from my son, or rather, i got info from him and then more accurate information from my DIL, who is much more reliable. I am going to go with them to her mother's and then her father's celebration. Starting on New Year's Day, we are also going to go camping for four days to Santa Cruz. Their school has the week after New Years so they have a bit of extra time. They will bring their new camper and have made reservations for two spots.

Got a lot of little projects, but need to get the right size batteries for my tire minders, so will head out to LV on Tuesday. Am here until the 11th when I will head to Death Valley and then Napa.

I got back from my campout this afternoon. When I was about 5 miles from Abbeville I heard a noise and pulled over. The compartment that my converter/inverter is in had fallen down and was dragging on the road. As I was calling my roadside service a pickup pulled over. It was a farmer that has land along where I pulled over. He went and got 2 ratchet straps and two of his workers and they tied the compartment up so I could get home. I would probably still be on the side of the road waiting for the roadside service to find someone to come help me. I am so lucky he stopped. If I ever met the man I don't remember but he is a member of the cattlemen's association and knew Harold. I posted about the problem on one of the Coach House Facebook pages and someone else had this problem too. I got every thing unloaded when I got home but I'm sure there was no rush. I'll be lucky if I can get the motorhome into the shop before January.

The campout was fun except camping with my sister. She could hardly walk when she first got there but by today I could tell she was getting around a little better. Her plan was to go home and go to bed. She should keep up trying to exercise but I know she won't. She never shuts up. I finally quit asking her what she said. I told her if she was outside smoking and I was in the motorhome I couldn't hear what she was saying. She just kept talking. She gets up and down all night and if she wakes me up I can't go back to sleep. I was dead tired this morning.

The theme of the campout was The Wizard of OZ. I didn't dress up but some of the women really went all out with their costumes. My sister was a witch. There were a lot of witches, good and bad. Some of the women had cancelled but we still had at least 60 women. There was a gift exchange that was suppose to be a basket and a dish towel. That went on for a long time. I didn't participate because I have enough junk and didn't want to have to go shopping. The next year's theme will be A Charlie Brown Christmas. The weather was so nice for camping. Mostly warm during the day and cool at night. It was cool enough at night that we didn't have mosquitoes. That's nice since Sugar wants in and out all the time. I brought the Banana Bread Brownies and everyone that got one liked them a lot.

Cheryl, I'm surprised that your new trailer is 50 amp. A 50 amp cord weights a lot.

Judy, I try to stay out of Hobby Lobby this time of year because I know I will buy something.

Sharon, how's it going with the puppy? I haven't had a puppy since we got butch about 30 years ago. I don't remember how the housebreaking went with him.

Barbie the company that supplies your propane will they come out and check to see why it's smells of propane? up here they do usually the company that supplies the tank provides the propane so they want the tank to be working correctly.. one thing you can do is mix up a mixture of water and dish soap in a spray bottle and spray on the connections if they bubble it indicates a leak or just simply not closed tight.. I would think it would be something that has to be taken care of before you sell the house... plus you need to be able to use your stove...
I remember one time I could be something flying behind the 5th wheel it was attached and was on the freeway so kept going till I could get to the next turn out which I knew was coming although further than I thought... stopped and ended up getting a trucker to help right now can't even remember what it was... guess I never took care of it...
grabbed a nap today got to reading last night and looked up at the clock and it was so late... way later than my normal late hour... so till have some scriptures to read and to finish that book when I saw what time it was I just closed it even though we were in a very tense time....
it's getting hard to find something for mom to eat last time I made mashed potatoes mom didn't eat them tonight did roasted potatoes and she didn't eat them but she will eat baked potatoes which I understood
watched the churches Christmas Devotional tonight it's always neat to hear the choir singing not to mention neat speakers...
you all have a great day

Judy, I try to stay out of Hobby Lobby this time of year because I know I will buy something.

especially when everything is 60%off!

Sheila, I don't have a propane service. I have 2 30# tanks outside of my house. I have Dave take them to the gas station down the street to fill them for me. Actually, I only use one of them. The other one stays empty since I don't use much propane. Just the oven and stove use propane. I know I need to get it fixed before I can sell. There is a maintenance guy here that I am waiting to call me about checking it out. I will call him on Tuesday if I still haven't heard from him.

I just found a voicemail (I rarely check that  ) from my manager from this morning saying that the new girl didn't show up for work again today (go figure!) and wanted me to come in. Glad I missed that call! I sure hope they finally fired her today! I am supposed to work with her on Wednesday. I have told them before that I will not work alone all day, and if they can't get someone else over to help me by noon, I will close up the shop. Maybe my new manager had enough today and told them to get her off the schedule and figure something else out. They call me on almost every one of my days off lately, to come in to work. 3 nine-hour days is my max. I was so tired today after working 9 hours yesterday. If I could afford to quit, I would. So tired of all this nonsense. :(

Good morning, Barbie.

Hopefully, you can put an end to this nonsense soon! I am sure we are all wondering how your listing is going - have you had many showings?
