Tuesday November 15th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday November 15th

Mornin' ladies~~~

Today is clean out your refrigerator day. Get to it ladies!

Well I definately have to do that, as well as see if there are other things to get rid of besides the camper, which I'm doing.

As you may remember, lots of problems with this one and I've been looking during my travels. Took a ride to the Airstream Super Store in Chandler, AZ last week and they had a model I liked, but with twin beds. And I don't want to have to buy sheets from Airstream. So I've been Googling, and happened to see Lazy Days got one in. Six miles away so took a ride.

The sales folks didn't even realize they got it in since it arrived late Saturday night. Long story short, I bought it. almost $30K less than the one with twin beds! The superstore wouldn't haggle at all. I'd say I got a deal, and they know about the slide problem. Since they're a Grand Design dealer, it will be their problem now. I pick it up next Tuesday but will have my walk thru tomorrow. Then I'll figure out what I need to buy besides a 50 amp surge protector and extension cord. I'm pretty excited. I've always wanted an Airstream. I think the only thing I'll miss is the recliners.

So that's my news. Have a good day ladies.

Barbie~ Forgot to ask. Will you be staying at the Pima County Fairgrounds? That's where the Escapees really is.

Oh Cheryl that is so exciting and especially that you found what you really wanted for less! I bet Punkin didn't really want his own bed. I can't wait to see it. Can you buy a recliner that would fit?

It is cloudy and cold here. The days seem so long since the time changed, I can't seem to get used to it. I guess I could be cleaning my refrigerator with all this seemingly extra time. Humm don't think that's going to happen. I do need to make something for dinner as most restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday here.

Chilly here this morning 30 with freezing fog. I dont have anywhere I have to go today so just hanging out. I need to clean out my refrigerator also so guess that is on my list for today.
Cheryl how exciting. Tell us more about it. I have a friend that has one (her uncle left it to her) and she loves it. How long is it? Brand new or used? Nosy arent I....I am very excited for you. I am always excited when one of our members gets a new or new to them rig. At our GTG's we always had "tours" of everyones rig. Was super fun to see how ingenious some people were. I dont happen to be one of them LOL

Here's a link to the Airstream site:
https://www.airstream.com/travel-trailers/flying-cloud/floorplans/27fb/

It's the sea mist color scheme, which is a medium grey with a faint bluish tint. The actual length, hitch ball to rear bumper is 28" which is exactly what the Grand Design is.

BJ~ No real place for a recliner, but the long couch/ dinette seat is really long. So I could lounge there. I may also just leave the table down and make that a lounge area. I half thought about taking out the dinette seat by the door and the table to fit a recliner in, but changed my mind.

Storage is awesome! And it comes with both big and small bins, which I'll see if I can take after the walk through tomorrow. I already have large bins under the bed, in the cabinets, etc, but could use the new ones for packing loose kitchen stuff. All dinette benches have storage undermeath, and a pull out pantry besides over head cabinets in the kitchen, above the dinette and the bed. And a huge hanging closet! I do have to say, Airstream knows how to do storage on the inside. Outside storage is minimal, but I've been to lazy to really clean it out. My biggest worry is where/ how I'm going to stow my telescoping flag pole. :?:

Cheryl, how exciting! Can't wait to see pics! Glad you found just what you wanted! Yay! :D And, yes, I will be parked at the fairgrounds for the Escapees rally.

Got up for putters golf early to tidy up the house a little. Took the trash to the dumpster on my way to the course. My real estate agent was supposed to be coming around 10 and I am usually done with putters by then. But with all the new snowbirds in the park, we had over 60 ladies there! :o Twice as many as usual! So we didn't even get started until after 9:30 (we are supposed to start at 9) because it took so long to get everyone checked in and on a team. There are usually 4 on a team per hole but we had 8 on each team! I was asked to keep score for my team but after just a few holes it got too overwhelming (too many distractions  ) to keep track of 8 ladies scores so I handed it over to another gal who has done it before. Well, we didn't get done until after 11am! It was fun and I did pretty well too. Lots of new faces and some of them look pretty young! Maybe they have husbands who are 55 or over because they didn't look that old. Good to have younger people moving in there! I heard the average age in the park now is 59!

So anyways, I had to text my agent and tell him I wouldn't be home in time so we changed it to 4pm today. That works better for me, so I can have 4 hours to get more cleaned and straightened up here before he gets here.

It is a beautiful day, after a bit of a chilly night. Turned on the heat to take the chill off overnight. We are averaging 70* during the days and 50* at night. No complaints!

Need to grab lunch and get busy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Cheryl I just looked at it, WOW looks very cool. I like the layout too. So glad you found something you like. The length is perfect too, not too long.\
At least you wont have a slide to worry about.

Kinda late to the party here but it’s been a busy day! Snow started earlier then first forecasted so when I left for the store it was gently coming down. By the time I had to leave for the chiropractor this afternoon I had quite a bit of snow on the car so spent some time cleaning it off. This was a heavy wet snow. All kinds of accidents and road closures. By tomorrow they say it’ll be over and clear out so probably won’t need to shovel. Guess it was bound to happen!
Cheryl, that looks like a fun trailer for you. Will you have solar installed on this? Wish you were closer since in the garage cleanup I discovered a 50 amp extension cord along with a 30 amp one too. Sure didn’t know those were out there! I figure someone might need them at some point! At least I know where they are now!! So excited for you.
I noticed today that some of my early bulbs out front have already sprouted! Guess the warmer temps confused them and hope they’ll survive to grow next spring when they’re supposed to sprout. That flower bed gets snow piled on it when I shovel the sidewalk. Not to mention the extra when the snow plow goes by on the road. We sure didn’t ease into winter this year! Our temps dropped off so quickly and I for one really wasn’t ready for this cold. Okay, I’ll quite whining and just roll with it! Have to admit it was pretty this afternoon when the snow was really coming down. Have a good evening and good tomorrow.

Cheryl, I'm glad you posted the link. I love it. I hope it gives you years of joy. I'd be happy to be giving up any slides and I think you'll be ok with that with all those windows!

Sheila, I just finished watching "The Royal Nanny". I went looking for it after what you said and believe this must be the one you were talking about. I loved it. And, yes, it's got more of a story line just over Christmas.

Tomorrow I leave this CG. Today after my dermatologist appt I found a place in Tucson (not the one I want happy with a couple years ago) with Chicago Italian beef. This one is much better. I only ate 1/2 today and saved the other 1/2. I'm staying at a Harvest Host tomorrow that's a diner so will have to eat there tomorrow. Then I think I'll be back to cooking regularly. I weighed myself at the dermatologists office and hadn't gained since my last time on the scale but eating like this too often would turn that around. But it did allow me to splurge again today and tomorrow.

Cheryl, glad you found the trailer you want. Airstream has changed up their layout a lot. The ones I have seen are pretty old. Now you will find out how much stuff you have when you move. lol

Sharon, I'm going to whine about the weather too. The high was 53 but it felt really cold when I went to town. The sun never came out and it was very windy. I got another inch and a quarter of rain.

Walmart still hasn't gotten Sugar's medicine in yet. Grrrrrrr I am really thinking about cancelling my trip this weekend. I can freeze at home. Most of the activities involve going somewhere since there are no meeting rooms we can use.

I made banana brownies for the activity they are really good but brought home lots... they didn't stack up to those bunt cakes  will have to find some one to help eat them...right now they are still in car at 10 degrees think they will be ok...
mom sure got a bruise from that fall which isn't abnormal she bruise's pretty easy... my #2 dd evidently fell off the ramp at her house got a pretty good bruise... says it hurts it looks like it would... need to get mom back on water pills I think her ankles are really swollen ...
last night it felt warmer in the house I thought it was because of the bodies that were here had warmed it up... looked at the thermostat it has been raised in it what it was set at... not much a degree or two but made it much more comfortable except for tonight... I think I got chilled coming home from the church it's not far enough to warm up the car so got pretty chilled... I need to go get my jacket I think..or maybe hot chocolate... usually try to have that earlier...
exciting news Cheryl thrilled for you ... hopefully someday I will get to see it.. when I get back into my 5th wheel I want to repaint it... on the inside... at least the ceiling it's needed it for years... as well as new flooring... but that will be after the up keep of it not being lived in for so long...
you all have a great day

Beth, what's the name of the beef place? I've been wanting some decent Chicago food, but the Portillo's in Tucson says temporarily closed, and both Goirdano's in Phoenix are permanently closed. I was hoping to get good pizza when friends come out in January.

Luke's Chicago sandwiches. All 3 Phoenix area Portillo's are closed? That sucks.
