Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday!

So where is everyone? It is already 1 pm pacific time and no one has beat me to opening today's posting.

I've counted out my pills for two weeks, found my broom and swept the area by my door, and put my awning up for the day. Otherwise, being lazy. So, what is going on with the rest of you???

Hi Judy, Cheryl and all that check in!

Judy, the gifts you bought for your family for Christmas are so neat! I'm sure they will appreciate them. Cheryl, I've been following you along on your journey and wish you the best of luck with your slide. Barbie, I think it would be a good idea to start looking around for RV's that you think might suit, rather than wait till the last minute. It may be better to have something at the ready than having to pay rent to someone else when you can take that same money for something you own. That's what I would do. Sheila, I wish you could go to Quartzite. Karen, I'm tickled every time I hear you mentioning meals you'll be making. Beth, you're on the road. Oh, and happy birthday! Carol & Bill should be close to their destination. Everyone's weather is so different all over the country, but it's still mild in central FL.

I did post on roll call day and for some reason it didn't take and I didn't realize it until the next day. I don't usually wait that long, so after I c/p this, I'll come back to check. The weather here is still summer-ish, which makes me happy. We had several couples of friends that arrived today, so things are picking up here. I'm staying very busy with church, but playing is one of my favorite hobbies, so don't pay any attention when I complain. We had a potluck today, and always do the first Sunday of the month. We had a few leftovers and brought home leftovers from another parishioner. The dish I took for our potluck was made in our crockpot late yesterday. After I reheated it in the microwave early this morning, I put it back in the crockpot and although all the lights were on, it never got warm. So I walked out in the dark to get a spare old crockpot and tried it and it worked. So the new one will get thrown away and we're getting another one for the casita.

Oh I have been very busy this morning.........not. After I made my bed, did laundry, took a shower, ate lunch I parked myself in front of the tv, covered up with my heated throw, and just relaxed. It is pouring today. I have some lake front property in my back yard LOL I can enjoy the rain for a few days then I have to have a day or two of sunshine. I know I dont ask for much.

Irmi sounds like you and Steve are getting very busy socially there now that the snowbirds are coming back. Such fun. I kind of have to entertain myself here. Between being sick and Covid I just havent been out much to meet people. I am also tickled my appetite is back and I enjoy making stuff again and even more fun to eat it. It is a leftover night tonite.

Well back to my recliner

I'm feeling grumpy because of the time change. I got up at the regular time because I knew the dogs need to go out except for Pippa but she was ready to get out of her crate. She doesn't go outside to potty. She was just too little for so long she has her inside routine. It is so nice out I took her for a walk awhile ago, she will walk to the neighbors drive, if the neighbor doesn't see her and come out then she heads back home. She used to walk quite a bit but now just refuses to go farther next door. She knows the command sit, wait and to walk not pulling on the leash but guess she just has decided she just wants to see her friend. Other than that I have pretty much wasted the day. I have 6 pounds of cracked pecans to shell but did I start on that....nooo Tomorrow I will try to do better.

I didn't do much today either. I baked some ribs like my grandmother cooked them. Just salt and pepper, not BBQ. It was a summer day here too. It got up to 93 and was breezy. I decided to go fishing this afternoon but the fish were barely biting. I caught 3 small fish. One was only about 2 inches long. It has been months since I have been to the pond. I need to put the rake on the golf cart so I can pull some weeds out of the pond. If I don't stay after them they will take over the pond.

BJ, Sugar just wants to walk to the neighbor's too. They have a little dog that Sugar wants to see everyday. I have to make her walk the other way down the road until she uses the bathroom because I don't want her pooping in the neighbors yard.

It's going to take a few days to get use to the new time. I stripped the bed because Annie threw up on the sheets but forgot to put them in the washer. I probably need to go stand by the washing machine to keep the washer from filling up every time it's unbalanced. Sometimes I have to turn the water off. I hate that washing machine.

I'll be so glad when the election is over. I'm sick of all that on TV.

Thanks Irmi! This is my hardest birthday. 70! But I intend to rock this decade! Hopefully :)

No time change for me. It happened when I left Utah and because Arizona doesn't change it's staying the same and I won't have a change again until I go to Central Time zone next month.

I lucked into a fenced site in this park for 3 nights. Ty is thrilled. It's cute to watch him run out to see everyone with dogs. He got me out to invite one man and dog into the yard lol

Sheila, have you been paying attention to lots for sale in the park in Quartszite where your friends are? If you could get one you could drive a car back and forth and maybe get down for part of the season.

it's been a typical Sunday
think I even got a 30 minute nap in
I was lazy and just did speg and meat balls for supper
should have looked that the meat I was thawing as it was thawed enough to cook now to decide what to have tomorrow hamburger or chops??? or left overs
Beth my low time goal has been to buy a park model hopefully in the park I stayed at the first winter after Larry passed away... but it will have to be when I have more money... you can't get a loan on something that you are only leasing the property if I understand it correctly...
I need to figure out how to change clocks so far I've failed but will give them another try ...haven't really gotten into this movie so might go to bedroom... that doesn't mean to sleep that usually means FB time and reading...
have a friend that I met many years ago... we moved into her neighborhood attended church together and she mentioned to me one day that she had seen that my home stake was the Driggs Idaho Stake (our church areas are wards and stakes) the stake being many wards... so she asked me if I knew who Maude Moulton Christinson was I said I'd talk to mom see who she was but we were probably related... it turns out that Maude was my grandfather's sister... and Maude was her grandmother.. so we tell everyone we were friends before we knew we were related... she called this AM said she got a notification from family search about a new story about my great uncle and his barn (the one south of ours) will have to go see if I can find the story... it was good visiting with her..
so that was my day nothing really worth rambling on about
you all have a great day
