I said rabbits first when I got up this morning, but I know I talked to Ty when he barked during the night. Oh well.

Yes, I got on the road yesterday, but a couple hours later than I wanted. That said I had trouble at three places trying to get propane which wasted more time but just continued driving because I've sat too long. It's hard to find a good boondocking location in the dark so i3 was happy to see a visitors center/rest area that was ideal. I'm ahead of schedule, so, with approval moved into a back area and am doing more organizing, etc today then plan to get on the road early tomorrow (I see some wind coming in and only have a couple hour drive so want to miss that wind).

Cheryl, I have a park in southwest New Mexico I have a free stay at that I'll use in early December. It's been recommended to me as a place I might want to make my home base at, so that person asked them to comp my stay (which I wasn't expecting). I'd hate to lose my casita so it's plusses have to outweigh that and you never know. Keep looking and find what works for you. The park I stay at in south Texas is a possibility, too.

I'm so confused about going back to this job next year.

Afternoon All, a cloudy 70° day. I did say rabbits sometime during the night. Some days it’s very difficult dealing with Shirlv. I had a busy day yesterday, running errands. This morning I could not find my credit card. Finally after near hysteria, found it in a pants pocket where I shoved it after getting gas. I remember thinking “ put card in slot where it belongs”. By the time I walked around the car, got inside short term memory kicked in. My holiday theme this year will be snowmen. Talked to a women who has a little tree with lights and snowmen to cheer her all winter. Sounds like a good idea. Have a few household chores to do and will try to remember to take chili out of the freezer. Be safe

November 1st did you say rabbits?

Good Afternoon, It is sunny and warm here today and supposed to be in the upper seventies all week. Sounds good to me. I did remember to say Rabbits when I woke up about 2AM. So far the way my day is going it hasn't helped. My oven and ice maker both went out last week and repair man just said the parts needed on both are no longer in stock. I mostly use my toaster oven but still would like a real one but not enough to try and find a replacement since it is built into a cabinet. Turned off the water to ice maker so will just hope the rest of the fridge keeps on working!
We only had one person come to trick or treat last night. We usually don't have any plus I didn't have the porch light on. I just looked out, waved and said sorry. It was dark and I could see a car parked with lights on so it wasn't someone from the neighborhood. I felt bad but also I could really see if there were others besides the one on the step. Emma was home and was doing her stranger danger bark at the door.
Barbie must have inspired me I cleaned off my desk yesterday!

Hey, Shirl, don't be too hard on yourself. Losing stuff - especially small stuff - is pretty much the story of my life. I would worry about this problem, but I have always been this way, so nothing new there.

It really is a frustrating pain in the kazoo, though.

I know do all about the hysteria part. I think I wrote the book on that one. :(

Hello to all. For once I remembered to say Rabbits. We are still in San Carlos, weather is perfect warm during day and cool at night. Friday we will be on road again. Will be a 250 mile day. Sounds short but about 1/4 of the road will not be nice. Also several road blocks,, some by villagers some by different federal agencies. So should be an interesting day. Will stay in a truck stop that night. But there is a very good restaurant there. And I imagine the next day, Saturday will be another 250 mile day on horrid roads but will end up in Mazatlan. Then parked for 4 months.

Hi ladies~~~
I actually remembered to say Rabbits! today. Actuality said it twice because I couldn't remember if I said it out loud or not. :? I'm blaming it on being up at 5am.

Made it to Tucson for the winter. Here until April 1st. Rain expected Wed & Thurs. Will have to see if the forecast is right.

Beth how come you're thinking of giving up your Casita? Where about are the 2 places in NM and TX? Just being nosy

Have a good evening all!

I remembered rabbits right after midnight. :D

There was a neighbor who came by the other day wanting the key for the golf cart. He is friends with the couple who let me use it over the summer. He wanted to fix the flat tire on it, charge it up and bring it back to their house. I haven't used it for awhile due to the flat tire so it wasn't a big deal. I gave him two keys I had for the golf cart plus the keys for the house and shed. So this morning, I run into him down the street and he asks me if I have the keys to the golf cart? I told him I gave him the 2 keys I had plus the keys to the house. He said he doesn't have any golf cart keys and I only gave him the house/shed keys. I was adamant that I gave him two golf cart keys. He said he doesn't remember getting them. Well, that is what he came over for the other day. Why would I not give them to him then?
Anyways, I went home and looked thru some other keys I had and found a key on a key chain for my mailbox key that looked like a copy of the golf cart key. When he came by later, I gave that one to him, so hopefully, he won't lose that one too and deny I gave it to him! He replaced the tire later in the day and left with it. Fine by me!

I loaded up all the gourd bins into my car and took them to the storage unit. With all those in there, luckily, there is still quite a bit of space for more stuff. I shouldn't have too much more to bring over there. Stopped at WM for more bins. I have quite a few large bins and small bins left, but no medium bins which I really need. Then I worked on what was left in the porch. Got most of that cleaned out. Very dusty out there and now my eyes are burning. I will be so glad to get away from all this dust! I found a Nook and another tablet. So now I have 2 old laptops, 2 old tablets, and a Nook to figure out what to do with. :? Any thoughts?

I still have a ton of photos to go thru. Ugh! I think I will just go thru and put a photo album together of important photos for my daughter and get rid of the rest of them. No one else will want them. No point in dragging them around for ever.

Seems like what I still have left, is just misc. stuff. I hate all those leftover "misc" things that I never know what to do with, that end up in a few bins labeled "Misc" and never get opened again. Time to let it go...

I just got a copy of next weeks schedule (Saturday thru Friday) and I also have Saturday off, so have an extra day to get stuff done around here. Once I get everything packed up, etc, I have a lot of cleaning to do.

I am tired now so will chill for the rest of the evening. Sounds like it will be very windy for the next day or two so I need to close up all the windows. It has been cool and breezy today so that felt good.

Cheryl, I will be in Tucson in March. Maybe we can get together then.

Hello, Velda.

Sorry, getting back late back to the party.

It was partly cloudy in the a.m., then it rained pretty hard for about 1/2 or an hour or so, then it stopped and the sun came back out. It was sunny for the rest of the day.

It sure wasn't the major gully- washer that had been predicted. Unfortunately.

Did you get rain there?

Anne

today was my classmates funeral so got up and went to the funeral...came home and got mom and went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch.... been wanting a chimi for a long time... usually when I go to a Mexican place I get Chili Releno but went with the chimi so enjoyed it.. got mom a seafood enchilada
usually seafood is something that she will enjoy... then came home and read scriptures... got a text from my dear friend/sister... you know one of those friendships that is more sister than??? telling me that her dd had surgery the other day and things didn't go right... took way longer than it should have and they had to leave an ulcer not repaired anyway she ended up with lots of problems... still alive but that could change in a moment.... just feel so bad for all of them.. I waver between being really sad and being really irritated about it... several years ago she did a gastric bypass that didn't do her any good... she got really sick and really has had a rough time health wise since... so she goes and has another type of bypass can't remember the name of it... just so irritating... I so hope though that she rally's and pulls through this...
I think I am going go and get some hot chocolate... it sounds good...
did say rabbits
Shirl is it the oven that is out? what about getting a Air Fryer?? if you get one with racks they seem like they would be more versatile....can do so many things in them I really need to use mine more
drive safe Beth
enjoy your winter in Mexico Carol
the pellet stove is still working
you all have a great day

Anne, we got almost 0.4 inches of rain between 12:33 and 2 pm.It's a start with 5 days with chance of rain between Saturday and next Thursday. Prediction for today had been between 0.25 and 0.5 inshes, so we hit right in middle of that.

Just checked the forecast myself, as you say it is definitely looking good!

LOL. I guess we only missed the "No rain in October" by one day! Here's hoping that cloudy skies, with LOTS of rain, continues!

And, of course, this rain pretty much means that fire season is over. No smoke/ash fall at my house this summer, for the first time in the last few years.

Did you get smoke from that fire that.was closer to you than it was to me?

We had smoke for few days, but could not determine where fire was. None of the usual apps or maps showed anything and per AQI apps, it was pretty isolated here.

That would be nice! I may be bored by then
Try looking into Catalina State Park. It has some nice views, but it's popular, so book early if you decide.
