Sunday October 30

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday October 30

Morning All, a cloudy 54° Sunday. I spent an enjoyable day with #1 daughter yesterday. We took back roads to Delaware, caught up on each other’s news. We have a choice of crossing the bay bridge to Maryland capital, Annapolis or drive country roads to Dover, De. The two choices for shopping large stores and we choose less traffic. Having soft crabs for dinner and maybe Mac and cheese in the slow cooker. Lettuce is still growing on the balcony so a salad sounds good. Sugar snap peas are still growing but doubt they will produce peas. Think I planted them too late. I will try again in the spring. Be safe

Good morning. Kind of a cool morning here today 44, high of 65. Yesterday was nice again with sun coming out. I just love these fall days, got my sweatshirt on and will be parting with it probably after lunch. Had a busy day in the kitchen yesterday. I had bought a rotisserie chicken at Costco and had that for a couple days. Yesterday took all the meat off and made a chicken, gravy and stuffing casserole. Then made sour cream enchiladas with more of the chicken. Then bagged the chicken up in my food saver for Emma's meals. Will freeze some of both for quickie dinners. Going to make a chocolate cherry cake this week. Friend gave me a recipe and said it is delicious so guess I will try it and of course share with the neighbors again.

Need to get out and get rid of the tomato plants as the tomatoes are definitely done. Trim a few bushes and call it good for winter. Need to vacuum the other half of my house today then will find a movie on the tube to while away the afternoon.

Just call me the cat whisperer. Yesterday when I fed the outside cats I sat on the carport for a while. The orange and white cat came and ate and got within about 5 feet of me. She just kept watching me pet the other cats. This morning she came right away to eat. After she ate she kept getting closer and closer to me so I petted her. In a few minutes she was in my lap. She had to have been someone's pet.

Anita, after my first two cruises the only cruises I would like to go on are the Panama Canal and Alaska. Some of my camping friends keep going on the cruises out of New Orleans and Galveston. I'm not sure what the attraction is but they keep going to the same places.

I'm watching Ken Burns' Country Music program again instead of getting dressed. I need to go to Lafayette and pick up my son so he can have the car. His girlfriend's car is in the shop and she is using his. I have to bring the motorhome to the shop in the morning and he will have to come pick me up.

Shelia, tbere could be two possible things wrong with tbe sliding screen door. I am sure that you know about the wheels on top and bottom. The wheels can be adjusted to make the door slide easier by turning the little knobs at top and bottom of the door. The other thing maybe that the door may have jumped the tracks. On my door, the two upper rollers ride on the inside of the truck, but the bottom rollers which are removable and can be pushed up with your finger should be riding on the edge of the track so that they straddle that piece of metal along the bottom. I can send you some pictures if you want to get an idea of what I’m talking about. Also make sure that the bottom track is clean because something might be in there that you can’t see and stop in the door from shutting.

Fairly busy at work today. Good thing it was only a 6 hour day!

Been working on a few things on my list of things to do. Got Romeows claws clipped. That hammock thing works pretty good. Got him back in it without much problem. He did almost get out of it once I had him hanging in it, but he didn't try to bite me this time. Got his claws all clipped in just a few minutes. Also got my voting ballot filled out and ready to take to the city hall drop off bin tomorrow.

Started on the last few bins that were in the shed. Lots of tools, etc. I found a rechargable power screw driver and a rechargable drill. I am wondering if I need those with me in the camper for any reason? Or should I just put them in storage? I also have an electric drill. I suppose I need one of the drills for something, huh?

I have gone thru all but one last bin. May get to that yet tonight. Found another old laptop. What should I do with the old laptops?

I am still trying to activate my new phone. Not sure what the problem is (on their end) but I can't seem to actually get ahold of anyone there to fix it. Also got a call from Social Security that there was a problem with my application but I keep calling the lady back and keep getting her voice mail. I tell her to call me back but she hasn't yet and it has been almost a week. Will keep trying to get ahold of her.

Got a long day tomorrow. Being Halloween, it probably won't be too busy. Need to get to bed early tonight. I didn't get to sleep until 2:30am last night. There is a Halloween party here tomorrow evening that I will try to get to after work. Costumes not required luckily. I finally found my Halloween costume in a box in the shed but I am not gonna wear it. I didn't even get a pumpkin this year. Just been too busy.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I will have to have some body check the rollers Sue in the spring as it's too cold right now
what can I say just a normal Sunday nothing out of the normal
and now I can't recall what all I just read
wonder if Beth got on the way or if tomorrow will be her departure day..
I think tomorrow I will go through a couple of bins and see if I have more yarn to work on the scarf if not then I need to put fringe on it and pull out my heated throw... that will feel so good. at least it will while I am on the bed...
you all have a good day

Been reading postings but driving each of last three days to get to Las Vegas. Will catch up
On posting on Tuesday.

Very cold at eagle lake last night. 22 degrees so kept two heaters and rear furnace going. Glad to head south. Only going to be down to 30 tonight—-a real heat wave. Warm during day though.

Got flu shot Thursday. No reaction until a bit of fever yesterday. Cured with Tylenol. No swelling which I was glad of.

And it really feels good to not worry about blood numbers. Someday I will probably go out of remission and need a bit more treatment- sort of a touch up, but hopefully not for a few years. That’s why they call it “chronic” lymphocytic leukemia. But lots of good, targeted drugs these days to keep it controlled
