Isn't today Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Isn't today Monday

Postby asirimarco » Mon Oct 17, 2022 6:03 pm

Good afternoon to all. I am really not sure what today is...We were supposed to leave home on Thursday...Well we left today - Monday, I think. We made it to Quartzsite where we will stay for two nights only. Then on to Gila Bend for one night and then to Amado, AZ for a week. Any way those are the plans right now. Neither of us slept well last night so we are both bushed. Bill is "reading his nook." I need to stay awake or I won't be able to fall asleep at a decent time tonight. Just slowly trying to remember where everything, I just threw in here goes. Especially the things that have to plug in.
Glad we have this afternoon and tomorrow with really nothing to do but catch up and relax.
Take care every one.

Finally had a nice, sunny day without wind here on the Oregon Coast. I have been very low on propane and needed a couple of things from the store, so I ran out, and got my propane and a handful of groceries. Saw gas for $5.09, which is lowest for a long time here, so filled up. Also dropped off a quick item at post office, so errands are done, except laundry. I have enough clothes to last me until I get to Armitage Campground next Sunday, but the bags of dirty clothes and sheets and towels are piling up!!

Not much else going on, but am glad to get rid of some books and my unused birdbath, which I gave to the old friend I had lunch with last week. Also dropped off a bag of too-large clothes to Goodwill. Now I just need to make sure I do not gain weight!! If tomorrow is nice, I might go for a bike ride, but they are warning that Oregon is due for some heavy rains by the end of this week. Hope they come, but they do ruin some plans. It has been cold enough here at night that I have put my down comforter on my bed and have been running two electric heaters. Brrrr.

I posted a note to Anne, but everyone should get some of the free, charged to Medicare, test kits so they have them in case they are exposed or to have to pass on to someone else in an emergency. Since I have been out and about, I have been testing myself every week or two, just in case.

I think it's Monday. lol A lot of days I'm not sure what day it is. Carol, glad you made it on the road.

I had a grocery list going so I went to Walmart and got my Flu shot and groceries. They had some pretty mums near the front doors so I went and looked in the nursery area. I bought a pot that has 3 colors of mums, purple, yellow and rust. I hope I can keep them pretty.

The cold front came through this afternoon. It was still warm when I went to Walmart but I had to wear a jacket to walk Sugar. There was some rain with the front but we didn't get any here. It might get down to freezing in North Louisiana. The weather man said that is unusual for it to freeze this early but this year has been very unusual. The farmers have started cutting sugar cane so now we have to dodge the sugar cane trucks. Almost every year someone gets killed by running into a truck. This time of year there is fog early in the morning and the trucks are very slow moving when they start off.

I have a Meetup meal tomorrow night. I need to look up the menu to see what kind of food the restaurant has.

Barbie what will you do if your home sells before you have found a rig?

BJ, that is a good question! :? I can't buy the RV until I get the money from the house. I will have to find a temporary place to stay until I find an RV and get it all set up. Depending on who buys my place, I might be able to just pay them rent to stay here for a month or two if they don't need to move in right away. There are other park models here for rent that I may be able to rent as well. Will figure that out as I go along.

Was a long day but went fairly fast. I used my hour lunch to go to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad transfer my photos from my phone to the SD card in it so I can move that to the new phone.

My tree got cut up today but still all laying on the ground. They will probably finish cleaning it up tomorrow. The poor grounds crew has had their work cut out for them today cleaning up the park! :o

That's about it for tonight!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, that was a big concern when I sold my condo. I expected it to take several months to sell, and it sold in less than a week. However, you can state in your listing that you will need 30 days occupancy, and maybe even longer. I was lucky in that the person I sold mine to was going through a divorce, and she was someone I knew slightly from work. We ended up not even putting a move-in date in the contract, as she was in no hurry. We closed fairly quickly, but agreed on an amount of rent I would pay for a few weeks.

The idea of renting one of the units in your park is a good idea. When you get offers on your home, you will be able to make decisions on which one to accept and one consideration will be when you will have to vacate. If the offer is really, really good, it will be worth your while to even stay in one of those long-term motels.

BJ when I had a covid test before going into urgent care they have an window that they check you into not sure if it has always been that way or if it's due to COVID anyway they did the test there and then had me wait in my car for the time needed... then they did a test prior to the lung test they just did it in an separate room and had me wait there for the results also all in the medical buildings require masks...
had the echo today don't know how long it will take to hear back about it cardiologist has to read it then send it to my pc
then to the store to spend even more money it really adds up quickly bought some flour and brought it home even got a 10# bag why I don't know cause that is what I used to always get... :o anyway I was curious what was in the bin next to the flour bin and it's flour  wouldn't have brought it if I'd realized that there was flour there... I'm sure that I am the one that put it there in forgot and it's behind stuff so haven't looked in it for some time... guess my body thinks it wants to bake
truly had forgotten about the disease caused by mice... till my dd mentioned it yesterday... I've wanted to clean under the bed but lots of stuff has stopped me... getting a new bed set is one the mattress is bad and mom has stuffed lots of stuff under the bed from lack of a place to put it all I guess and we simply can't get rid of stuff (she has multiples of vases so a friend asked her if she wanted to give them to another friend who is a florist she can always use vases... she works out of her home... mom said no now what she needs 6 perhaps 9 vases for is anyone's guess and that is just in one room) the room is also very tight it would be a lot of moving to get stuff out of there it was just daunting thinking about it now I need to think about it ... will bring it up with the PC person
Carol save travels wish I was in Q could have gotten together..
Barbie it sounds like things are moving forward for you..
you all have a great day
