Now it’s Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Now it’s Saturday

I don’t know where the week goes! Seem to go faster as I’ve gotten older! We’re having a couple more 90 days before it’s supposed to cool down a bit next week. Temps are bad enough but the humidity has been high so it’s not good outside weather right now. We had a burst of rain the other evening and it was running in the streets! I had gone to CVS and while I was there I could hear it pounding on the roof! It was short and sweet and I saw part of a rainbow when I came out of the store. I need to finish doing some cleaning that I didn’t get done yesterday since this is going to be an inside day! At least until maybe later this evening if it cools down some. The back part of the driveway is still shaded and the wind not blowing so I may get out and blow off all the debris from the last few days. That’s a maybe!! Sue, good that you have your generator all in and working. Peace of mind. Barbie, your new kitty seems like he’ll be a good companion for you. Judy, hope you start feeling less sore. And hoping for good health for everyone else. Time to get moving here. Stay cool and have a good weekend all.

I've been trying not to talk about my undesirable housekeeper that I was stuck with until the end of the month. She took her week long vacation then came in Monday morning (I was off) and handed her keys to my office help without a word and walked out. So she convinced the owners to keep her until the end of the month and that she needed a week off that wasn't scheduled then screwed them too. I'm working harder but I'm so glad she's gone that I actually was glad she did that. At the end of the month I'll have the new person. And my part-time housekeeper picked up yesterday and today (2 of our busy days) to come help out. We will survive.

But it's not a good time to not sleep well. I'm exhausted today lol. I need to get Ty out for a better walk than he's had this morning but I have no energy beyond doing what's necessary.

I've had lots of guests using our bbq. Last night 3 different foreign families (from different countries( planned to use it. One of them decided they needed to eat foods they already had but the others separately headed to the next town to purchase meats to grill. It's so nice to see them out there cooking and sharing the space.

Good afternoon ladies!

Sharon, I know it's warm in your corner of the world. Wow, while I was typing, half of my post disappeared and I'm too lazy to rethink what I wrote.

Beth, I'm so glad this housekeeper finally quit. She was making me a nervous wreck. I sure hope things calm down for you. You've been through so much. And since when do people give a months notice to get rid of someone??? I gave 3 months notice before I retired but to get rid of someone? Really???

We have country ribs on the Egg on low, slow heat. I'll also make a salad and corn on the cob. We went to our local Farmer's Market this morning to stock up on fresh veggies, fruit and produce.

The back room is calling me to practice for the next service.

Irmi, you are making me wish I had bought some ribs when I went to Walmart. Today I'm cooking for Sugar. She had diarrhea last night so I cooked her some rice and ground meat. She is not wanting out as often so hope she is getting better.

Not much going on today and It's raining off and on. Thursday when I was getting read to go mow it started raining. Yesterday it stormed all morning and It's suppose to rain tomorrow. At least it's not as hot when it's raining.

Beth, hope you get more help and the new hire shows up.

Judy, hope you are feeling better.

Good afternoon. Boy where is this month going??? They just fly by anymore. Had a good visit with my eye doc yesterday. I had a list of concerns as his technique is very different than my doc in Medford. But he was very accomodating to my requests. This was my second visit. Last time he injected each eye to numb it......WTH my doc in Medford just did numbing drops. Instead of two shots in each eye. So he was fine with just doing drops. Last time when he was finished he smeared ointment in each eye............UGH I had to sit in the parking lot for 45 minutes waiting for it to melt and disappear. So I told him I didnt like that. So no more ointment!!!! My eyes also watered all month long and felt like I had a film over my eye for the entire month. I dont think my eyes liked the ointment either. He also wants to use the latest and greatest med recently approved by the FDA. So they sent me a multi page application for financial assistance..........huh. I told him I wasnt filling it out and if my insurance did not approve it we would just continue with Eylea. My insurance approved it so glad I did not waste time filling it out. And now for the best news I had ZERO fluid behind my macula. I was very happy. My eyes are not bothering me at all with these injections so I guess I got him trained okay LOL

Now Monday I have to train my internal medicine provider LOL We will see how that works out.

Muscle aches from falling ate better although knee is still very swollen and sore. Not much problem walking on it but hurts when I go up stairs or a curb. Easier if I lead with left foot but hard to remember.

Waiting to hear more news about Romeow!

Generator not working well in high altitude so glad it is raining right now and a lot cooler. I found a full hookup spot for tomorrow night and then have electric hookups for next three weeks. Don’t usually like commercial campgrounds because they are expensive and dusty but at least I can get my laundry done.

Good evening gals.

Nothing much new here. Very humid today! We get the monsoon humidity but no rain  .

Romeow is exploring my closet right now. Looks like he is rearranging things in there! :o He is like a big kitten! He is getting so playful and rambunctious but still very affectionate! He also loves to watch and bat at the cursor on my laptop screen I discovered he loves to have his belly rubbed. A lot of cats don't like that so I was hesitant to try it when he was laying on his back. He pulls my hand down to him to get more petting! I think I got really lucky with him! I need to clip his claws since they are very sharp but want to wait a little bit for him to feel more secure with me and his surroundings. Cats don't like to get that done so I don't want to lose his trust in me.

Last night tho, I was feeling really sad about Lola and missing her a lot.

Tomorrow I will be emptying out the old storage unit and trying to blow off all the dust and dirt from everything that is in there before putting it in my car to bring home. It will be a dirty job but gotta do it. Gonna try to get up early in the morning before it gets really hot out. Shouldn't take too long to get it done, maybe 2 trips in the car and it is only about a mile away from here. Just getting the dust off will take a little time.

I better go make dinner and see what Romeow is doing to my closet!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

actually did something a bit different today.... met up with a old friend went to lunch haven't seen her in years so it was really good to visit....we have a mutual friend that has just gone into a care center.... when I saw her last year she was still working and no sign of dementia... my friend told me today that she spent 2 weeks with her this spring and two weeks later finds out she is in a care center... personally I wonder if it's a case of medicine wrecking havoc but also know that I can't step in and over ride her children .... it's a really sad case .... mom grew up with rickets kids got it as well so they have never been on their own... it's just sad....
Irmi I saw a recipe that I was going to get the ingredients for last week but couldn't find the main one so didn't get it and haven't looked at the recipe since but it's a caprice salad so has tomatoes basil and moz cheese don't know what else but it sure sounded good..
Beth any chance you can get your new hire to come in earlier??? I too was amazed that they gave her a whole months notice... wondered what they were thinking...
came home from lunch and sat down and finished a book and started one...
noticed the other day that one of the dolls eyes have fallen back need to get it fixed no where here to do it... something I never learned how to do :(
it sure doesn't take long to drink a water bottle of water course it's very full of ice.... probably only a cup of water in it...
you all have a good day
