Hi All, Judy, I was fascinated by your ambulance story. Mark up a good report for universal health care. So glad you are feeling better now .
Hopefully your flight home is uneventful aTuesday.
Nothing much going on with me. Lyn

I thought it was Saturday until I turned on the TV and Sunday Morning was on. Not much going on, I didn't even cook. Took the pork loin out of the freezer that I cooked a couple of weeks ago. Got three containers out of the freezer, pork, blacked peas and mashed potatoes.

Judy, hope you are feeling better. Your ambulance experience was interesting. Glad you didn't have to go to the hospital. I have only had one really bad case of food poisoning. My son and I ate dinner at the fancy resort on Toledo Bend Lake. We had some kind of fish topped with a crawfish cream sauce. By the time we got to Shreveport we were so sick we had to find a motel. It's bad when dying seems like a good option. I don't think my son learned his lesson about food poisoning seeing how they treat left overs. I won't eat anything at their house unless I bring it or cook it.

My blink camera is working ok but I wish the alerts would make a noise like when I get a text. There's probably a way to turn the sound on but I don't know how.

The weather channel says we have a 70% chance of rain. The radar shows a lot of rain around New Orleans but I can't tell which way it's moving. I would like to go to Lafayette just because I'm bored. I have a meetup meal tomorrow night so no sense in going today when I can just go early tomorrow.

It's is raining and cool here!! It started raining around 5:30 with thunder and lighting. i was worried about Pippa as it is her first experience with a prolonged storm but she didn't seem to be bothered. I hope the fireworks won't upset her either. It continued with a soft rain until about two which we really needed. I can tell how dry it was as so far no puddles in the yard. I'm going to get a coffee at my favorite place just to get out of the house for awhile. Emma is at Nancy's, (trainer) they are having a birthday party today for another dog named 'Little' Emma who is there quite a bit. Last year her owner brought all sorts of dog cookies and a cake from a doggy bakery and none of the dogs would eat any of it so this year she is cooking them a chicken to share.
Have a great rest of your day.

I got up and got busy this morning. Wanted to get to the grocery store before all the church people headed out for there. I got there at 8:30 just about had the whole store to myself. I had a list and didnt really deviate much from it. Everything I went to get was available. Seemed like the shelves were less empty. Still some vacant areas but I was happy I could get what I went for. I needed fresh veggies, salad fixings, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, potatoes and onions. I did buy a couple of bananas. Not my favorite fruit but put a little ice cream and chocolate sauce on it and it is pretty good LOL Picked up some canned goods. Bought sandwich meat, cheese etc. I didn't buy any meat and my bill still came to $129 ...

Our gas has gone down from $5.29 to $5.05 so I like it heading in that direction. We will see how long that lasts. Martha check out Youtube for setting up your blink cameras. They can tell you how to get volume. I get a notification ding on my phone but I have that set up in notifications on my phone settings. You need to set it up in notifications on your phone and what sound you want, then when you get a text you will get that sound.

Thanks for all the good thoughts. I am doing better, but still afraid to eat much. Ambulance staff said to stick to bland food for a couple of days, which is not hard to do as my stomach is still a little sore. Not easy to find bland food when you are away from home, however. Started off morning by drinking some milk. Also, I had a fruit cup later and ate only half of it. Also had a juice drink that was mostly grape and apple, but only drank half of that as well. It is about 9 pm and I am in hotel room. I looked at sandwiches in my favorite takeout spot, but ended up with two hard boiled eggs and some pudding. That seemed as bland as I could get! Anyway am working at eating the eggs, and they taste OK.

I was so panicky when I was vomiting that I had Covid, I was positive I would end up in the hospital and miss my flight. No one wears masks around the UK, and I confess I have not been good at wearing one either, but their numbers have been fairly low, probably due to their 75% vaccination rate. I was upset that I had managed to stay healthy for a whole month and now had messed it up and was really sick. So, having food poisoning was good news, strangely enough.

I spent most of yesterday, after I got into my new hotel, just taking it easy and napping. Also, got a good night's sleep last night. Just in case, I have been testing myself for Covid last couple of nights and both tests were negative, so that is good. I also confess to going out and doing part of a Samuel Pepys walk, and then going to a department store called Liberty that two ladies said I absolutely had to go to, so I really overdid it today, but after a couple of hours of rest, I feel better.

my daughter and her husband and two of her kids came over for supper they were a bit later than planned but I was really late in getting supper done... even with help... dd texted me the other day to see if we could have salmon patties... it was one of my husbands favorite meals so said yes I really don't like them and really don't like to make them... but once a year or so then that is ok ...
was going to make strawberry shortcake but that didn't happen ... guess I will need to invite nephew and his family over...
my son in law repaired a board (replaced it) on the deck and also put up a 2 railing on the steps going into the garage... thought it would be helpful looks good I just wish it was a little bit smoother... will probably go and gets some sanding paper and make it a bit smoother... would hate to get splinters :?
other than that it's been a normal Sunday
took a 45 min nap shouldn't have done that but it wasn't long enough
3 days later and I have my afghan back to where it was plus a bit (finished the row) 3 days later
you all have a great day
